Chapter 742: 590

A few moments later, after Spade finished commending Su Mo, he spoke.

“Alright, everyone disperse.”

Standing aside and watching the whole scene like a spectator, Golory suddenly asked, “Lord Spade, may I be so bold as to inquire, now that the visit of the Yanas fleet has concluded successfully, can we begin the formal exploration tasks?”

Upon hearing Golory’s question, everyone perked up their ears involuntarily.

At last, someone had asked the key question, which was actually the central concern of everyone present.

Spade did not avoid the question; he merely pondered a moment before replying, “Starting now, no one is permitted to undertake tasks on their own without my command. I will notify everyone when the appropriate time comes.”

For safety’s sake, Spade decided to maintain control for a while, until they had completed the transaction with Green Gore.

He planned to begin exploration after confirming that the Green Gore had left this star space, to prevent any unexpected incidents.

Hearing Spade’s words, everyone felt as if they had been doused with cold water and dejectedly replied.

“Yes.”

“You need not feel down. I can tell you clearly that it won’t be long before we can start working on all fronts. Moreover, we’ve acquired firsthand intelligence on the Kativaro Star Sky from the Yanas Kingdom. At the right time, I will distribute some intelligence to you all, so the time lost is nothing to worry about!” Spade said with certainty.

Stirred by Spade’s words, everyone became excited once again.

“Understood, Lord Spade.”

“Dismissed.”

After Spade finished speaking, he turned and left.

Not everyone followed him out; many turned their gazes to Rose and Su Mo, as well as the personnel who had accompanied them.

Many tried to approach them, hoping to get some firsthand information.

“Commander Su Mo, I am…”

“Lord Su Mo…”

Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Su Mo quickly slipped away.

Several days later, in the gym, Su Mo was performing an endurance exercise with one finger supporting his body on the ground and his other hand behind his back.

At the same time, Su Mo was silently communicating with the Fake Owner·Devourer in his mind.

“Are you sure you’re not deceiving me, my physical strength development is not even ten percent?”

“Why would I deceive you? Your genes may have evolved to a V grade, but your cells have not been fully activated. Only constant fighting and training can make you truly strong. The best potion can only bring you to the threshold; how far you can go depends entirely on yourself,” the Fake Creator·Devourer replied in a grave voice.

Su Mo carefully thought it over, and indeed, he seemed much stronger than when he had first injected the V-grade Genetic Potion.

It appeared that what the Fake Owner·Devourer had said was probably true.

However, Su Mo was also a bit troubled—less than ten percent development; who knew how long it would take to fully develop it?

In the meantime, Sun Duoxiang and others were squatting to the side, watching Su Mo exercise non-stop, chatting idly to pass the time.

“Brother Sun, watching the boss is making me nearly fall asleep; I’m so bored. When can we get to work?”

“Don’t worry, it won’t be long.”

“Brother Sun, look, there seems to be a beauty walking towards us.”

Zhang Hao suddenly nudged Sun Duoxiang.

“Really or not?”

Sun Duoxiang looked over in disbelief.

After rubbing his eyes and looking carefully, he saw a silver-haired beauty in a body-hugging leather outfit approaching them.

Having taken a good look, Sun Duoxiang rolled his eyes at Zhang Hao and retorted, “No need to look, someone of that caliber is definitely here for the boss.”

“Ah, you seem to be right, Brother Sun.”

Zhang Hao watched as the silver-haired beauty walked straight toward Su Mo.

“Su Mo.”

Karina greeted with a smile.

Upon hearing Karina’s voice, Su Mo stopped exercising and looked up at her with surprise.

“What brings you here? Is there something you need?”

“No reason, can’t I just come to find you?” Karina asked with a smile.

“No,” Su Mo replied awkwardly.

“Alright, I’m not here to joke around. Lord Spade sent me to find you,” Karina said playfully.

“Oh, what’s the matter?” Su Mo asked, puzzled.

“Nothing much, Lord Spade instructed me to inform you. There will be a high-level meeting tomorrow evening, and everyone must attend,” Karina explained.

“Couldn’t this have been sent via a message?”

“Of course, there’s another matter. This is a special reward from Lord Spade for you—don’t let anyone know, okay?” Karina handed Su Mo an envelope.

Su Mo, utterly puzzled, accepted it and asked with curiosity, “Karina, what’s in here?”

“I’m not sure, but anything from Lord Spade is usually not too shabby. Alright, I’ve delivered my message, if there’s nothing else, I’m headed out,” Karina said gracefully.

“Alright, goodbye.”

Su Mo replied with a nod.

As Karina turned to leave, she let out a small sigh.

At that moment, Sun Duoxiang, Zhang Hao, and Ma Ke buzzed around like flies to honey, looking at Su Mo with curiosity.

“Boss, what’s the good stuff here?”

“Get lost, it’s already been said to be classified,” Su Mo waved them off, replying helplessly.

“Come on, Boss, just let us have a look. We promise we won’t tell anyone,” they pleaded.
