Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister
Chapter 77: Wrecked.
CHAPTER 77: WRECKED.
P.O.V - Diana.
After hearing the cry of help from Hwang Lor, Vora Min orders his guards and some of the people around him to attack us.
They had just taken a step when with a very low, deep and cold voice, looking at them over his shoulder Dang Woon says;
"If you dare take another step towards this place, I promise you and all your family members will die a gruesome death."...
Bruhhh! even I shivered from his words.
He was serious.
His killing intent spread across the entire compound.
The people who were about to attack us stopped in their tracks and unconsciously took a step back in fear.
Vora Min was left speechless due to fear.
He too started stepping back.
He turns and leaves immediately with his head down.
The people who came with him were wondering what was going on.
They tried calling out to him but he didn’t stop.
He kept walking and said;
"I advise you to leave now."
His guards follow behind him as the others remained there confused.
"Wa... wait... wait, Vora Min! where are you going?
Come save me!?" Hwang Lor calls out to Vora Min but Vora Min doesn’t listen and leaves completely.
Gradually the remaining people left the compound leaving just us and Hwang Lor.
Damn! so Dang Woon can be this scary.
He was always so easy going.
Always looking for an easy way out.
I guess in the end, the blood of the Tang Clan runs through his veins.
P.O.V - Vora Min.
I ordered some people to attack the members of the Dang Clan so as to save the Young Master of the Golden Manor.
I saw this as an opportunity to gain favour in their sight but...
As soon as I saw those glowing green eyes and felt that killing intent, I knew it wasn’t worth it.
I immediately turned and left.
Not because I didn’t think I could take them on with the number of people I had.
But my father use to say something to me.
He knew I always taunted the children of the Dang Clan.
He always warned me to be careful.
That even though they have fallen so low, deep down, they still possess the virtues of the Tang Clan.
And if a time ever comes where they speak to me about revenge against me before I make a move.
It would be best I just leave it.
Because even if it will kill them in the process, they will always have their revenge.
Those were the words of my father.
He and the Patriach are quite close friends, and yet the Patriarch said those words to me.
And that heavy killing intent.
I might be arrogant but not dumb.
I’d be a fool to go on after my father’s warnings and after they just successfully attacked the Yangzo branch of one of the biggest Merchant groups in the Murim.
Damn! I guess they really are coming back.
P.O.V - David.
I could see every single hope in the eyes of the young master crumble as the people left.
"Waa....wait... wait..." He called out to them as he stretched forth his right hand but they all ignored him.
The Patriarch walks closer to him.
His eyes slowly moves up to meet the Patriarch’s eyes.
"Wa... wait... pleaasseeee." He begs the Patriarch who doesn’t listen to him.
The Patriarch began torturing him.
We all stood there watching.
We didn’t move and inch.
We watched every single thing.
Who knew this calm Patriarch could become so gruesome.
And Dang So, I expected she’d be irritated but she stayed and watched the whole thing with no much change in her expression.
Damn, and she is just a little girl.
"This Family is crazy." I think to myself as a smile crept up my face.
The torture lasted for about seventy five minutes before he finally died.
After the Patriarch was done he stepped back and his expression which held anger turned numb.
He turns and says;
"Let us go."
We followed behind him as we all exit the gate.
The Pagoda which has crumbled was still burning vigorously.
We left and went towards the inn as people stared at us but none dared to do anything.
We arrive at the inn a few minutes later.
Throughout the whole journey the Patriarch said nothing.
At first it seemed like he was being silent due to what had just happened but then after a while I notice something was off.
His steps became heavy.
His breath was no longer regular.
He was sweating on his forehead and the side of his head.
We go to the inn and at the entrance we see Vora Min and his cliques.
Did he leave just to wait for us here?
We kept walking and as we got nearer.
Suddenly he moves and I immediately pull out a dagger but he didn’t move to attack us.
He offers a bow to Patriach saying;
"Welcome back Patriarch, I hope you are not too stressed after your mission."
Aside from the Patriarch we all stood there surprised.
"What a 360 change in attitude." I think to myself.
The Patriarch says nothing and walks in.
He waves his left hand as he passes Vora Min and enters the building.
He and the Second Elder go into the building while I and Dang So remain outside with Vora Min and his people.
"What do you really want Vora Min?" Dang So asks.
"Nothing much, I just came to greet the Patriach, is there anything wrong with that?" Vora Min asks back.
"Hmmm, did you get scared and realize your position now?" Dang So taunts Vora Min.
Ahhh, children fights.
"I dont know what you are talking about Dang So." Vora Min replies with a smile.
"Ok ok that’s enough." I say breaking off the two.
"So why did you stop your attack Vora Min?" I ask him.
"Well, I at first thought I’d just help out the Young Master but with the words of the Patriarch I realized how serious the situation was and with the Patriarchs of both our families being good friends I thought it would be best to favour a friend than to favour an outsider just for profit." He says.
There were some truths to it but I could also tell he was bullshiting.
He probably got scared and felt it would be best to just leave.
Though that was indeed the wise decision to make.
"Hmmm, that makes sense." I say.
Dang So looks at me like " Do you really believe this dude?"
Well of course I don’t believe him.
"Well now that I’ve seen the Patriarch I would be on my way now." Vora Min says.
"Have a good night rest." He says and leaves with his people.
I and Dang So stand outside looking at them until they were out of sight.
We turn and go into the building.
As we step into the building we both felt something.
Something was going on upstairs.
Something serious.
We run up the stairs and we feel a strong energy coming from the Patriarch’s room.
We go in an and see the Patriarch in a lotus position and the Second Elder also seating behind him with his hands on the Patriarch’s back.
It looked like he was helping the Patriarch with Ki circulation.
"What is going on?" Dang So asks.
It seemed none of them could respond.
Both their eyes were shut tight trying to concentrate as they were fully immersed in what they were doing.
We watch them for about four more seconds and that was when it occurred to me.
"The Patriach, I had earlier noticed his unusual behavior, he didn’t say a word throughout our walk to the inn, his steps became very heavy, his breathing became irregular, he began sweating." I say out loud.
"I also noticed those too." Dang So says.
Looking at the two seated on the ground I said;
"The Patriarch..."
"...He is breaking through." Dang So says completing my statement.
"Damm! that was faster than I thought." Diana says.
" Was it his two fights with Martial Masters?" I wonder out loud.
We stood there watching this scene as his body constantly emitted strong waves of energy.
At one emission of energy the Second Elder was flung away by a wave which was way stronger than the others.
We who were farther stagger backwards as the wave hits us.
The Second Elder crashes into the wall of the room.
He tries to get up immediately.
"You need to leave now, it’s dangerous, run!!!" He yells out to us.
"What is he talking about?" I wonder to myself.
Suddenly he jumps out the window of the room.
Dang So grabs my hand as she says;
"Run!"
Looking at the Patriarch I could feel something was about to happen.
That was when I realized what they were talking about.
With Dang So pulling me we both run out the room unto the hallway and into the room opposite it.
We were about jumping out the window when a huge wave of energy following a loud explosion blasts everything away sending us flying outside unto the ground.
