CHAPTER 79: ALLIANCE.

P.O.V - Dang So.

The Manor Master stops us before a fight could break out and offers that we go in and talk.

At first it looked like Dang Woon wasn’t really willing to but then he turns to look at us.

Looking at him I could feel the heavy responsibility he was carrying at this moment.

Depending on the decision he makes we might all lose our lives here.

I for one am definitely not strong enough to take on a Martial Grand Master yet.

Especially one who looks like she is a Duolo of the Manor Master.

She must be an exceptional Martial Artist.

He agrees and we go in up to the top floor of the Pagoda.

Aside from the Martial Masters, Late Peaks and Martial GrandMaster, the others remained outside.

We move to the top floor and the Manor Master takes his seat before offering we do the same.

We take our seats and Hwang Jin takes his seat beside the Manor Master.

The Duolo of the Manor Master stands to the right hand side of the Manor Master while the Two Martial Masters stand behind Hwang Jin.

The Late Peaks stand around us all.

"So, Patriarch, I am listening." The Manor Master says with a smile.

Dang Woon heaves a short sigh.

He began explaining everything that happened.

I was utterly surprised.

He didn’t lie about anything.

Though he hid some facts all he said was the truth.

He plainly told the Manor Master what happened.

I had expected he’d try to convince the Manor Master that we had little fault but it seems he doesn’t care about that.

"That’s bold, that’s brave, that’s respectable." I say to myself in my head as I look at Dang Woon with a little admiration.

As he spoke I could see Hwang Jin’s annoyed expression worsen by each sentence.

After he finished everywhere became silent.

"Father do you hear this!?

He’s not even trying to sugar coat it, this is an insult to our...." Hwang Jin began yelling out.

"Be silent Jin!" The Manor Master shuts him down.

"But Father..." He tries to say.

"Jin!" The Manor Master says with a low but clear voice.

Hearing this Hwang Jin keeps shut and relaxes his back into his seat.

The Manor Master heaves a long sigh.

"Patriach, you do understand that those two were my children right?" The Manor Master questions as he releases his aura.

"Hmmmm, a Late Peak, a strong one infact." I thought to myself.

Since I saw him I’ve been feeling that he was a Martial Artist but I could only feel faint traces of Ki which made it seem like he either wasn’t one or he was hiding it.

Turns out he was hiding it.

After releasing his aura the only person who was affected was Dang Shoo.

Surprisingly Namgoong Yeong wasn’t affected.

That boy, he’s something else.

Two seconds after releasing his aura Dang Woon cancels out his aura with a wave of his right hand.

And with that wave the aura being released by the Manor Master vanished.

"Damn, that was cool." I say to myself.

The Duolo attempted to make a move but the Manor Master raises his right hand halting her in place.

The Manor Master heaves another sigh.

"So, I have heard your story, so now why do you believe we could make peace or why should we agree to your offer of peace?" He ask Dang Woon.

"Do you want me to be plain honest?" Dang Woon asks.

"Well of course, isn’t that how you’ve always been?" The Manor Master responds.

"I believe we could make peace since though we did cause some damages you were the one who attempted to cheat us.

So in essence, I can say this is the fault of the Golden Manor Merchant, and yet, we who are the victims have still come to offer peace, that should be good enough to make peace I believe." Dang Woon says.

Damn, this dude is crazy.

He’s saying it’s their fault even after they’ve lost two of their Young Masters.

Bruva! David did say the people of the Tang Clan were crazy people but experiencing it first hand is different.

I mean even Tang Vidi who is now the Grand Elder was quite the absurd person but not to this extent.

We sit before the Manor Master of the Golden Manor Merchant group, are surrounded by three Late Peaks, two Martial Masters, one Martial GrandMaster and this guy’s balls are not shrinking one bit.

I’m beginning to like him more and more.

"That’s enough, bring me his head Sea Sand!" Hwang Jin gets up yelling, ordering who I am guessing to be his Duolo to attack Dang Woon.

One of the Martial Master launches at Dang Woon.

He was very fast but before I could even react the Duolo of the Manor Master steps before Dang Woon and stops Sea Sand by blocking his path with one of her arms across his chest.

Sea Sand halts in his tracks.

He looks at the Duolo of the Manor Master and asks;

"Why do you stop me Miss White Jade?"

"Look behind you." White Jade says to him.

Sea Sand turns back and he sees Hwang Jin collapsed in front of his chair.

Above him right in front of his forehead was a poisoned needle.

Even I didn’t notice this.

Hwang Jin sits on the floor scared as fuck.

"Now look ahead of you." White Jade says to Sea Sand.

As he turns his head he comes to a sudden stop.

He had to, or he would be pierced by the needle which was right before him.

He steps back a few steps.

"One with the needle?" The Manor Master questions in amazement.

"You flatter me Manor Master.

I am not yet at that stage." Dang Woon replies as he pulls back the needles with his Ki and catches them with his hands.

"He has gotten a lot better."

"Still very impressive I must say." The Manor Master comments.

"Indeed, it is really impressive." White Jade says as she walks back to stand by the right hand side of the Manor Master.

"Thank you for your praises." Dang Woon says with a slight bow.

"So, what do you bring as a peace offering?" The Manor Master asks.

"One, money.

Two, herbs and pills.

And three the most important, an alliance with the Tang Family." Dang Woon replies.

"Sorry, Tang? not Dang?" The Manor Master questions.

"Yes, Tang, the Tang Clan is returning to the Murim, and I am offering you be our first ally." Dang Woon responds.

"That’s bold." I say to myself.

Namgoong Yeong just sat there smiling as if enjoying a show.

The Manor Master heaves a sigh.

"I see, that would be really nice.

Well then, I accept this alliance of yours." The Manor Master says as he stretches forth his hand to have a handshake with Dang Woon.

Dang Woon shakes his hand as they both rise up.

We all rise up as everyone claps their hands.

Hwang Jin who struggles to sit on his chair though wasn’t happy.

He alongside his Duolo and the other Martial Master who might also be a Duolo of his.

"Well, as a token from my side towards this alliance, I say you return with your money, though the herbs and pills will be very much appreciated." The Manor Master says with a smile.

"Ok Manor Master, I shall have the herbs and pills delivered to you before the day runs out." Dang Woon says also with a smile.

Well I guess this is a happy ending.

This seems better than shedding blood.

Though if David were here and I wasn’t, he would have preferred bloodshed.

"I would like to keep you company and celebrate this joyous occasion but I would be expecting guests soon." The Manor Master says.

"Thats alright. We will return for today." Dang Woon replies.

The Manor Master walks up to me.

He looks at me for a while no smile, no frown, just a plain face.

After a while he smiles and says;

"I will be waiting to see you soar in the sky." He says as he pats my head.

That was weird, I expected him to hate me for killing his third child.

We say a few more greetings and as the sun shines at its peak, it was time to leave.

We leave the building and then the compound and began our walk to the inn where we lodged.

"That wasn’t so bad." I think to myself.

This man, Dang Woon, he is a really capable leader.

Maybe I and David would have successfully unified the Murim of we had more people like him under us.

T.P.P

Hwang Jin sits on his chair, his back bent over and his head down.

"Why? why Father? why do you let those who have hurt us walk free?" Hwang Jin questions the Manor Master who sits beside him.

The Manor Master heaves a sigh as he rises to his feet.

"Jin, Jin, Jin... You still have a lot to learn..."
