T.P.P

At the top floor of the Pagoda.

Hwang Jin sits bent over in his chair, his head down, his hands clasped together.

"Why father? why do you let the people who have wronged us walk scot free.

Not only that, you also form an alliance with them?

A fallen clan for that matter?" Hwang Jin questions the Manor Master who sits beside him in his own chair.

The Manor Master hearing this heaves a heavy sigh.

He rises from his seat and walks towards a large window looking out unto the town.

"A fallen Clan you say." The Manor Master says as he bursts out laughing.

He takes a deep breath and still looking out the window he says;

"Did you even hear the story the Patriarch told?

A fallen Clan which was still able to wipe out a whole branch of not just any business but the Golden Manor Merchant group.

A single Branch of ours can easily wipe out any Second Rate Family.

The Present Dang Clan is supposed to be a second rate family at best isn’t it?

And yet they didn’t just survive an onslaught of assassins sent by our branch, they also wiped out that branch.

You’d say it was a tough or balanced fight if maybe they barely won but here they sat, ready to go to war with us, only one of them was notable injured, and the Patriach even leveled up.

Does that sound like a second rate Clan to you? eh Hwang Jin?

The only thing Second Rate about them is their few numbers."

Hearing this explanation Hwang Jin began to rethink his stance.

"Putting that aside, if you three were attentive to the Murim as I always advised you to, those two wouldn’t have lost their lives." The Manor Master says.

Slowly he turns back to Hwang Jin and then begins pacing around.

"You should have heard of the prophecy from the Emei Sect concerning the downfall of the Tang Clan before they actually fell right?" The Manor Master asks Hwang Jin.

"Ummm... yes Father." Hwang Jin replies, his voice low and soft.

"Good, now do you also know about the second Prophecy?" The Manor Master asks.

"Second Prophecy?" Hwang Jin questions.

"Haaaaa... Of course you don’t know about it.

There was a second Prophecy from the Emei Sect which said that after their downfall, there would rise a dragon who would bring Glory to the Clan and Rise them back to their rightful place." The Manor Master narrates.

White Jade stands a little distance away nodding her head.

Hwang Jin is surprised by what he is hearing.

He didn’t know about this, he hadn’t ever heard of it.

All he knew was that his Father always warned him to be careful when he deals with matters involving the Dang Clan.

He thought the warnings were just from their past glory.

"Ar... are you saying that... that time... has come?

For them to rise again?" Hwang Jin asks, his voice heavy.

The Manor Master heaves another sigh.

"Well you see, it’s quite complicated.

A few years ago during the Orthodox Murim conference, during the new generation competition the First Daughter of the Dang Clan took third overall out of several hundreds of Martial Artists.

A female from a fallen family as you would call it.

White Jade, tell him what you noticed that day." The Manor Master says as he kept pacing around.

White Jade steps forward and says;

"During the Semi- Finals, she was matched up against Namgoong Seo, the one who eventually took first place in the competition.

The fight started and it was ok, to be honest, she could have easily beaten him, but for some reason, she dragged on the fight and then lost intentionally.

Most people didn’t notice but it would be difficult to trick the eyes of a Martial GrandMaster.

I don’t quite understand her reasoning but there are a few reasons one could guess."

Hwang Jin now was utterly speechless.

He is hearing that the Sword Dragon, one of the five dragons and three Phoenixes.

The leading figure of this new generation could be easily beaten by a member of a fallen clan, one who isn’t among the Dragons and Phoenixes.

"With her strength, the only reason why she isn’t among the Dragons and Phoenixes is because of the politics of the Murim, they wouldn’t want someone from a fallen family to bear such fame.

But even still, she made a name for herself.

Some called her Venom Dragon and some called her Heavenly Mamba.

Dragons were used to classify males but due to her ferocity people called her the Venom Dragon.

That is just one person." The Manor Master says.

The Manor Master heaves a sigh and continues speaking;

"We thought, that has to be her right? the one who would revive the Dang Clan.

But here I am hearing about a fifteen year old in the Late Peak Realm.

A fifteen year old who stirred alive the hearts of her entire clan with words and actions.

Don’t you get it?

Whether it’s Dang Soha or Dang So we are already witnessing the rebirth of the Tang Clan.

Now answer me this question...

Do you believe it would be wise to antagonize these people or to ally ourselves with them.

Tell me, as a business men would you throw away such prescious investments?"

Hwang Jin couldn’t answer for a moment.

"I... I would not like to throw away such investments." He finally replies after about seven seconds.

"Of course you wouldn’t.

There are a lot of things you do not know about the Tang Clan."

The Manor Master began to narrate the Founding of the Tang Clan.

In the Murim, before The Five Great Families and the Nine Prestine Schools, there was only the ten Pristine Schools.

Yes they used to be ten.

The Five families came after.

They all came from Generals of the Imperial family.

The Founding Patriarch of the Namgoong Clan, also known as the Sword God was the Military General of the Imperial army.

The Founding Patriarch of the Jeagal Clan was the Chief Strategist of War.

The Founding Patriarch of the Habuk Peng Clan was the Head Guard of the Imperial Family.

The Founding Patriarch of the Moyong Clan was the Head Trainer of the Military.

All of them came from the Imperial Family.

All had status and power before they left into the Murim.

But the Founding Patriarch of the Tang Clan was not so.

He was a simple alchemist with an ailment.

His goal in life was to cure as many people as possible and possibly come up with a cure for himself.

At that time he didn’t know he had a peculiar condition that would lead him to become one of the Greatest Martial Artists to have walked the Murim.

His constitution made him quite strong but also came with huge cons.

If he was not fully covered up, people around him would get sick.

It got worse after a while as rather than just falling sick, if he was not fully clad and his Ki was not properly suppressed, any living thing around him would be poisoned and killed.

It felt like a curse.

He wandered the Murim searching for a cure while also treating various people while being completely covered up and taking pills to suppress his Ki.

Somehow he found love, it was hard, as they could not make skin contact but he loved her and she loved him.

They wandered around the Murim together.

She was quite a strong Martial Artist.

She was said to have been a Martial GrandMaster.

They were together for about two years.

During the third year of their relationship the Founding Patriarch went out to treat some patients.

He came back late in the evening.

He was expecting to see his wife waiting outside for him as usual but she wasn’t.

The door was wide opened.

For some reason he felt very uneasy.

He began to tremble.

He walks in and right in the middle of the room laid his wife, naked, bleeding out barely alive.

She bled from her eyes, her mouth and her vagina.

She had been assaulted.

Who could possibly assault a Martial GrandMaster?

He drops to his knees shaking.

He crawls to her.

Her eye balls were twitching.

He called out to her.

She turns to him as a tear rolled down her eyes.

She smiled;

"My love, you came."

Trembling he holds her in his hands.

Tears begand flowing out his eyes.

"Wh... who did this?" He asks.

She doesn’t reply.

"My love, let me touch you." She says as she raises her hand to his covered up face.

He was reluctant but he loosed the wrapping around his face.

"Ahhh, as beautiful as always." She says as she touches his face.

A tear rolling down her eye she blinks.

"I’m glad you came.

Please, end my misery... Please." She begs softly.

He knelt there balling out his eyes.

"No... nooo..." He said.

"I love you." She says.

Shaking he bends towards her lips.

He kisses her and she kisses him back.

This was his way of ending her misery since poison would flow from him into her.

He lets her go after a while and just as she was about to die she says;

"The Falcon Sect."
