At Liu Ergou's words, Leng Shasha couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Hmph, who says it was ineffective!" Leng Shasha said irritably. "It was clearly effective, the main problem is that you're just too incredible!"

"Going for so long without even taking a break! You're unbelievable!"

Liu Ergou just laughed at her complaint and retorted, "So, Shasha, do you like it?"

Leng Shasha nodded vigorously. "How could I not? I love it to death!"

Just as Liu Ergou was about to continue flirting with Leng Shasha, his phone began to ring.

Upon hearing the ringtone, he hung up the call without even looking.

What a joke? I'm busy, why would I answer the phone? What if something else comes up and interrupts me? Being interrupted is incredibly annoying, so much so that words can't describe it.

However, before Liu Ergou could put his phone down, it rang again. He hung up once more without even looking. But this time, the phone rang even faster, almost immediately after he hung up.

This thoroughly annoyed Liu Ergou.

"So damn annoying!" he grumbled. "Why can't they give a guy a break? Calling all day and night! I'm turning off my phone, we'll see who you can call then!"

Saying this, he moved to turn off his phone, but Leng Shasha quickly stopped him.

"Wait, Er Gou, don't turn it off yet!" she said urgently. "Look, they've called three times now. It must be something urgent. Just take a look!"

"You can always turn it off if it's not important. But if it really is an emergency and you miss the call, you could regret it for the rest of your life! You wouldn't want that, would you?"

Liu Ergou had to admit she had a point. He glanced down at the caller ID. The call was from Zhang Man.

This made him raise an eyebrow. After a moment's hesitation, he answered the call.

As soon as the call connected, Zhang Man's frantic voice came through.

"Er Gou, something terrible has happened! You have to save me!"

Hearing the anxiety in Zhang Man's voice, Liu Ergou knew she was really in trouble.

He said hastily, "Xiaoman, calm down. Tell me what happened. If you can't explain over the phone, come find me! I'm at..."

Just as Liu Ergou was telling her his location, the call was disconnected.

「About ten minutes later.」

The doorbell to Leng Shasha's villa rang. Liu Ergou quickly went to open the door.

A frantic-looking Zhang Man stood outside. The moment she saw Liu Ergou open the door, she threw herself into his arms.

"Xiaoman, calm down. Let's get you inside first, then you can tell me everything," Liu Ergou said, holding her.

With that, Liu Ergou led Zhang Man into the living room. Upon entering, Zhang Man saw a naked Leng Shasha, and her face immediately flushed red.

Seeing the blushing Zhang Man, Liu Ergou laughed. "Don't be shy, Xiaoman. Just say what's on your mind. We're all friends here, no need to hold back."

At Liu Ergou's words, Zhang Man could no longer be bothered with shyness and blurted out, "Er Gou, this is bad! Do you remember Sun Gang? Sun Yunxing's brother?"

Liu Ergou nodded. "I remember him. What about Sun Gang?"

"Sun Gang... he wants to meet me!" Zhang Man said, her voice choked with tears. "He told me I have to go see him alone!"

Hearing this, Liu Ergou's brows furrowed. Sun Gang, huh!

Before he could dwell on it, Leng Shasha gasped, "Ah, Sun Gang?!" She turned to Liu Ergou. "Er Gou, what's happening? How did you get on the wrong side of Sun Gang? That man is not someone to be trifled with!"

"I didn't do anything to him, but I had a run-in with his younger brother, Sun Yunxing. Now Sun Gang has come looking for me because of it," Liu Ergou explained. "I know he's bad news, but I refuse to believe he's tougher than Mi Xiaoying!"

Leng Shasha shook her head. "Er Gou, you don't understand. This Sun Gang is extremely ruthless. Let me put it this way: he and Mi Xiaoying are not in the same league."

"Two Mi Xiaoyings wouldn't stand a chance against one Sun Gang."

Leng Shasha's words took Liu Ergou by surprise. He knew from Zhang Man that Sun Gang was bad news, but he never expected Leng Shasha to claim that two Mi Xiaoyings wouldn't be a match for him.

If that's the case, then this really is a huge problem.

Before Liu Ergou could say anything, Leng Shasha asked, "Er Gou, if I'm not mistaken, you've already met Sun Gang, and he's made some kind of demand, right?"

Liu Ergou nodded and repeated Sun Gang's demands to Leng Shasha.

After she finished listening, her face fell. "Damn, I was hoping he just wanted money. If it was just about money, you could pay him off. But I never expected a demand that outrageous! I'm afraid I can't help with this."

Hearing her words, Liu Ergou reached out and patted her head. "Alright, Shasha, you don't need to worry about this. He's just one man. Don't be afraid. I'm here for you, and I'll handle whatever comes. Even if the sky falls, I'll be here to hold it up."

Having said that, Liu Ergou put on his clothes and took Zhang Man's hand. "Xiaoman, you don't need to be afraid either. He's just Sun Gang, right? I'll go with you to meet him. I'd like to see what he can possibly do. It's not like he can turn the world upside down!"
