CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 102: SHE’S GOING TO SHARE A BED WITH HIM TONIGHT?!

"Young master, do you need a guest room? There’s only one left. It’s raining now, and if you wait any longer, there won’t be any left." A person dressed like an ancient inn servant called out from the door.

Shen Yanchen glanced at the ancient-style inn behind him, then looked at the rain outside, and led Gu Qimiao inside.

"Please, upstairs!" The inn servant enthusiastically invited them upstairs to look at the room, accompanying the "creak" sound as the wooden door opened.

The room was neither big nor small, a 34 square meter single room, with only one bed. Everything else was fairly complete. A small wooden window allowed a view of the drizzling rain outside. It looked like a cozy place, though perhaps a bit damp due to the weather. More importantly... there was only one bed.

"Only a single room?" Shen Yanchen asked the question Gu Qimiao wanted to ask.

"This is the only room left. If you wait any longer, there won’t even be single rooms left! This rain might continue until tomorrow."

Shen Yanchen was silent for two seconds, as if considering, then said to Gu Qimiao, "You go shower first."

Seeing him turn away, Gu Qimiao immediately asked, "Where are you going?"

Without looking back, he followed the inn servant downstairs, answering her, "Going to register and buy some stuff."

Gu Qimiao stood by the door for a long time, unable to react. Did this mean she was going to share a bed with him tonight?!

She felt embarrassed and shy, yet why was she kind of looking forward to it?

Suppressing the joy bubbling within her, she walked into the room.

It was uncomfortable to stay in wet clothes, so she went to the bathroom to take a shower.

After showering, she wrapped herself in a towel. Her clothes were entirely soaked, and she hadn’t worn anything underneath. From outside, she could hear a buzzing sound, like a hairdryer.

Taking a deep breath, she mustered the courage and turned the door handle.

Peeking out, she saw him with his upper body bare, hanging his shirt on a rack and using the hairdryer to dry it.

Gu Qimiao walked past him from behind, went directly to the bed, and pulled the blanket over herself.

Every now and then, her gaze would drift towards him. The buzzing of the hairdryer suddenly stopped, leaving only the sound of rain outside piercing her ears.

Gu Qimiao watched as he took the shirt off the rack, thinking he was going to take it to the bathroom to shower. But instead, he tossed it, and the warm shirt from the hairdryer landed beside her.

"Make do with this," he said.

Gu Qimiao picked up the shirt and asked, "What about you?"

He put down the hairdryer and headed to the bathroom, saying, "I can go without, what about you?"

With that, he entered the bathroom.

Gu Qimiao looked down at the shirt in her hands, thinking he could go shirtless, but she couldn’t.

Taking advantage of his absence, she quickly took off her towel and put on the shirt he gave her.

The sleeves and hem were a bit long on her, but it worked well as pajamas. The empty space inside the shirt kept her from moving around too much, so she wrapped herself in the blanket and lay in bed.

The tense feeling just like a newlywed wife waiting for her husband in the bridal chamber...

Lost in thoughts, she glanced at the bathroom door opening, and looked up slightly, another visual temptation.

The towel hung loosely around his waist as he dried his hair with the hairdryer, his arm slightly tightening, displaying the perfect lines of his muscles. With every slight movement, it seemed like the towel might fall off at any moment.

Secretly watching the scene, Gu Qimiao’s heart started pounding, and even when the hairdryer stopped, her gaze remained fixed, only moving when he turned to look at her. She hastily buried her flushed face under the blanket.

Seeing him step closer, her anxiety heightened.

Even though she had slept in his arms before, that time he was drunk, likely mistaking her for someone else.

"Knock knock—"
