Dominant Marriage: The CEO's Overbearing Love
Chapter 135 I Don’t Want Him to Get Married
CHAPTER 135: CHAPTER 135 I DON’T WANT HIM TO GET MARRIED
Mo Ming had something to do at the shop, so he didn’t accompany her back.
Gu Qimiao didn’t know how she got home. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, she could see the LED display on the tall building across the street broadcasting the news of his engagement.
Gu Qimiao hurried over to pull all the curtains shut, then squatted down by the window, finally breaking down emotionally and crying silently with her hand over her mouth.
She had thought this day would come, and she believed she could handle it calmly, but when it actually happened, she found it was really painful.
It felt like her heart was being tightly gripped. Is this what "pain" feels like?
How could she remove someone who has been in her heart for twenty years? He’s getting married... what should she do... why couldn’t the bride be her? She loved him so much...
The room was silent, leaving only the suppressed sobs of the girl.
Her legs went numb, and she stood up, limping over to the bed, burying herself entirely under the covers.
Mo Ming knew Gu Qimiao would definitely cry when she got home, so after giving some instructions at the shop, he left.
When he got home, the house was pitch dark. He walked straight up the stairs and pushed open the bedroom door. The curtains were drawn, and there was no light in the room.
He raised his hand to press the switch by the door, and the light illuminated the room, revealing a lump under the covers on the two-meter-wide bed.
Mo Ming walked over and lifted her blanket, "Get out!"
She stayed wrapped in the blanket, but there was slight movement underneath, showing that she was sobbing.
Mo Ming frowned and forcefully pulled the blanket away, seeing her lying on the bed with red eyes, crying so heartbreakingly. Probably feeling embarrassed, she quickly buried her face in the pillow.
Mo Ming sat by the bed, his hand touching her head, but she stubbornly remained buried in the pillow, her sobbing gradually becoming more audible.
"Have some self-respect! Why are you crying?"
"I told you long ago to give up. You knew he would marry another woman. What’s the use of crying here now? Stop crying!"
She understood all these words, but she was still heartbroken, covering her face and crying more sadly.
This was probably the first time he had seen her cry so painfully. She rarely shed tears due to her unique physical condition; she never cried even when bleeding or injured. Normally, she would cheerfully banter with him. He only saw her cry when he was injured and hospitalized, worried that he might die, but never like this.
Mo Ming sighed, knowing that scolding her wouldn’t help now. He felt a bit helpless seeing her cry.
Sitting by the bed, he forcefully dragged her up from the bed, letting her lean half her body in his arms, holding her. His tone wasn’t great, but much gentler than before, like coaxing a disobedient child, "Stop crying! If you keep crying, I’ll throw you outside."
She raised her hand to wipe her tears and sniffed, her eyes and nose all red, her voice choked with sobs like a pouting child, "...I don’t want him to get married."
Mo Ming frowned and roughly wiped the snot and tears off her face with his large hand, "What can you do about it? Will he marry you if you cry? I told you long ago, first, he doesn’t like you; second, you aren’t good enough for him. I’ve always said this, but you didn’t listen. Now what’s the use of crying?"
"But now it’s good. Getting married cuts off the thoughts, saving me the worry!"
As soon as he finished speaking, she cried even more sadly. She left his embrace, turned over, lay down, and pulled the blanket high over her head to cry again.
She kept telling herself that this had to be faced, but she just couldn’t stop her tears. Thinking of him marrying someone else made her heart ache.
Even if he were single, she would feel a bit better without being with him. But if he got married, she wouldn’t even have room for fantasies.
Seeing her cry made Mo Ming feel heartache too. Even though he wasn’t happy that she had that man in her heart, he had to patiently comfort her first.
"Gu Qimiao, if you keep crying, do you believe I’ll hit you?" He said as he reached out to wipe her tears, but more kept coming.
"Get up! Can’t you live without him?! Crying constantly? Who was the one who said she would stop liking him once he got married?"
She pouted, looking extremely aggrieved, "...But I just like him."
Hearing her straightforwardly saying she liked that man, Mo Ming’s heart ached too.
"Boom——" Thunder rumbled outside, as it had been rainy recently.
Mo Ming got up and said, "I’m going to bring in the clothes. When I come back, clean up your tears yourself! I’m in no mood to comfort you!"
