Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 130: Turn Around, It’s Me
CHAPTER 130: CHAPTER 130: TURN AROUND, IT’S ME
"July, it’s Dad!"
The call was from an unfamiliar number, and July Quinn didn’t expect it to be Charles Quinn calling.
After all, ever since he resolutely arranged the engagement between Nathan Jacobs and Nina Quinn, he hadn’t reached out to July Quinn.
"Why haven’t you been coming home lately? No matter how wonderful it is outside, you should come home often. Your parents are always thinking about you..."
If he had called and said these words right after she ran away from home, July Quinn might have shamelessly returned home.
But time had passed, and July Quinn had seen through too much.
Now, hearing these insincere greetings made July Quinn feel a wave of nausea.
"Just say what you want, or I’m hanging up."
She interrupted Charles Quinn, clearly intending to end the call.
Charles Quinn seemed to realize something and quickly shouted, "There is something. Your grandparents have come to Westmarch, and I thought since it’s rare for the family to gather, we could have a reunion dinner at home tonight."
Afraid that July Quinn would refuse, Charles Quinn added, "Oh, make sure Kyle comes too. No matter what, he’s now a son-in-law of The Quinn Household, and he shouldn’t miss the reunion dinner."
"After all this beating around the bush, you just want to invite the president of Regalscape Group for a meal."
July Quinn hadn’t forgotten how disdainful Charles Quinn’s look was when he thought Kyle was just an assistant at The Continental Hotel before.
But now that Kyle had transformed into the president of Regalscape Group, Charles Quinn was calling him "son-in-law" at every turn.
It’s really hard not to guess Charles Quinn’s intentions.
Charles Quinn didn’t expect July Quinn to bluntly expose his thoughts, and was a bit embarrassed.
"How can you say such things! Do I seem like someone who tries to climb the social ladder?"
July Quinn: "..."
It’s not that you seem like it, you actually are.
But she couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, so she interrupted his long-winded protests.
"Alright, I’ll come over with him tonight."
Charles Quinn probably didn’t expect July Quinn to agree so quickly and was overjoyed: "Great, just bring him home, no need to prepare gifts, we don’t lack anything..."
Before he could finish the pleasantries, July Quinn hung up the phone.
Grandparents...
In truth, she hadn’t interacted much with these two, but the impression wasn’t good.
She still remembered when she was six, returning to her homeland with her grandfather for a memorial service.
She happened to run into Henry Ford and Sue Chase at the Quinn’s house, each holding Nina Quinn and Joy Quinn.
Seeing them having so much fun, July Quinn wanted to join in too.
But as soon as she got close, Sue Chase pushed her to the ground.
The toy in her hands was also snatched away by Sue Chase and given to Nina Quinn.
Henry Ford didn’t intervene but didn’t stop it either.
Like Charles Quinn and Amanda Ford, they didn’t like her much.
She didn’t understand why she had agreed to go to this reunion dinner with Charles Quinn.
After all, she was fully aware of Charles Quinn’s motives.
Perhaps she still longed to receive affection from these people?
Thinking of this, July Quinn closed her eyes, hiding the helplessness and awkwardness in her gaze...

When July Quinn’s message popped up, Kyle Keaton’s WeChat was open on the computer.
Miles Jacobs was using his computer, checking a document he had just edited.
And without warning, the message popped up.
[Hubby, I love the March winds, the April rains, the never-setting sun, and the best of you.]
Mrs. Keaton’s flamboyant confession left Miles Jacobs dumbfounded, "Oh my God, what a divine wife!"
"What’s going on?"
Kyle Keaton, flipping through other documents, turned around in surprise at Miles Jacobs’ words, only to see the popped-up message.
[The sea of bitterness has no bounds; turn around, and there I am!]
Kyle Keaton: "..."
