Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 134: Wanting to Protect Her
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 134: WANTING TO PROTECT HER
Kyle Keaton had Sue Chase retorting in a way that was beyond embarrassing, leaving her defenseless.
The other members of the Quinn Family knew better than to go against Kyle for Sue, so they chose to remain silent.
Only July Quinn was still staring blankly at Kyle Keaton.
In the Quinn Family, she always felt like she was fighting a lonely battle.
So, she had never imagined that one day, there would be someone who would retaliate against the Quinn Family for someone else using humiliating names against her.
At that moment, it felt as if a warm current wrapped around her heart.
At the same time, Kyle Keaton started walking toward her with his long strides.
"Seeing that old thing just annoys me, let’s have dinner elsewhere."
He casually put an arm around her shoulder, but when he looked down, he noticed her eyes were slightly red.
In his impression, this woman was both beautiful and cunning, and loved to stir trouble.
But no matter which side, she was always energetic and flamboyant.
Yet the July Quinn before him had reddened eyes and looked so delicate and vulnerable.
For some inexplicable reason, it actually made him want to protect her...
Just as Kyle was shocked by this feeling, the girl suddenly smiled.
"Alright, let’s go somewhere else for dinner."
Her tears turned to smiles, and his world seemed to shift from dark to light in an instant.
So he generously wrapped his large hand around her small one and led her toward the door.
"Keaton, if you don’t want to eat at home, we can go to a hotel."
"Yes, if you don’t want to see the kids’ grandmother, I’ll let her stay home."
Seeing Kyle Keaton about to leave with July Quinn, Charles Quinn and Amanda Ford panicked and hurriedly followed after them to dissuade them.
Hearing their words, Sue Chase got angry too: "Have you lost your mind? Didn’t you see how these two humiliated me? Yet you still want to leave me at home for them?"
But no matter how the three of them shouted, July and Kyle still left without looking back.
"I worked so hard to invite President Keaton here, and look at what you’ve done."
Watching their prized guest leave so abruptly, Charles Quinn was so furious he flipped the table full of dishes before heading upstairs.
"What President Keaton?"
Sue Chase only realized something was wrong when she saw Charles Quinn flip the table.
"That’s July’s husband, currently the CEO of a company in Westmarch that’s on the rise. We went through a lot to invite him here, hoping to discuss some cooperation. But now..."
Amanda Ford didn’t finish her sentence, instead rubbing her forehead in frustration.
Sue Chase could roughly guess that because of her earlier outburst, the Quinn Group’s cooperation was probably ruined.
But she always cared about saving face, so naturally, she couldn’t possibly admit she was wrong.
"You should have told me earlier."
After making excuses, Sue Chase then blamed Amanda: "And if you knew how impressive that man was, why didn’t you hold on to him for Nina?"
The more she thought about that seductive fox having such an outstanding man by her side in the future, the more frustrated Sue Chase became.
"That was someone July met on her own, what could I do?"
Amanda Ford was also full of grievances as she spoke about this.
She naturally wanted to reserve the best for Nina Quinn.
So, when Nina first got involved with Nathan Jacobs, they didn’t mind that July Quinn and Nathan were dating, and immediately agreed to Nina being with Nathan.
If they’d known Nathan would become renowned for all the wrong reasons and couldn’t even return to The Jacobs Group, they would have avoided Nathan like the plague!
"Alright, stop talking about this. I’ll go appease Charles with Nina, you head upstairs, and I’ll have the maids clean up here. Don’t give me any more trouble."
Amanda Ford called Nina Quinn and turned to go upstairs.
Sue Chase, though full of complaints, was well aware that she had ruined a major matter for the Quinn Family today, so she naturally couldn’t lose her temper at random.
Soon, she and Henry Ford returned to their room.
An extravagant feast that hadn’t even begun thus came to an end.
