CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: WILDLY IMPRACTICAL?

"The Continental Hotel is a global chain of luxury hotels, with the backing of the Angela Club, a place the rich worldwide are eager to join. To work here as a waiter, not only do you need to look decent, but your education must also match up."

Holly Holt said this while looking July Quinn up and down, barely concealing the contempt in her eyes.

"Isn’t it a bit far-fetched for someone with your education level to want to work here?"

Before July Quinn could respond, Nina Quinn hurriedly chimed in to play the good person.

"July, if you want to work here, I can ask Brother Nathan to have a word with the hotel manager for you. He’s very familiar with the manager. For dad’s birthday banquet at the end of the month, he even helped book a side hall here for us. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he insisted on helping."

Thanks to their strong backing, the banquet halls at The Continental Hotel usually only host top-tier millionaires or special department officials.

For someone like Charles Quinn, an ordinary wealthy businessman, being able to host a birthday banquet here is certainly quite splendid.

It was because Nathan Jacobs went to the trouble of booking The Continental Hotel for the banquet that Nina Quinn felt so proud, and started to forget the trouble July Quinn caused her with the styling team.

But even though she spoke with a certain Versailles flair, July Quinn merely rolled her eyes in a cultured manner.

"Just a side hall, look at how capable you think you are."

Nina Quinn was suddenly speechless: "..."

Meanwhile, Holly Holt was hopping mad.

"Just a side hall? Many wealthy people and officials can’t even book a banquet hall at The Continental Hotel. If it weren’t for Brother Nathan’s connections..."

The mention of "Brother Nathan" made July Quinn glance properly at Holly Holt for once.

It seemed... she discovered Holly Holt’s little thoughts! Interesting!

But Nina Quinn quickly pulled Holly Holt aside to ease the situation.

"Holly, stop talking. You can’t blame July; she’s lived in the countryside for a long time and doesn’t understand these things."

"Nina, I really don’t understand why, when July Quinn does such outrageous things to you every time, you still keep helping her?"

"After all, she’s still my sister."

Holly Holt looked exasperated: "You’re just too kind-hearted."

Their back-and-forth performance almost made July Quinn sick to her stomach.

"Enough, don’t put on a fake sisterhood act at the doorway. Good dogs don’t block the way."

July Quinn planned to find another place to negotiate if the talks with this platform didn’t work out.

To teach Nina Quinn and Nathan Jacobs a lesson, she couldn’t put all her hopes on her uncle.

So besides working hard to become their aunt, she also needed to create a new boy band in two months.

The goal was to replace Gala Entertainment’s Project Lime boy band and become the hottest boy band in the industry.

That way, she could really rub their faces in it.

July Quinn didn’t want to waste time on these two clowns, so she walked straight past them and into the hotel.

"Who are you calling a dog, July Quinn?"

"July, how can you be so rude? If dad finds out, he’ll scold you again."

Having been insulted, Holly Holt and Nina Quinn felt naturally indignant and chased after July Quinn to criticize her.

In all the commotion, July Quinn looked up to see Vivian Lynn, the president of Wisteria TV, watching them from the café on the second floor.

July Quinn suddenly felt a headache coming on.

"Still following me? Are you planning to join me in interviewing for the waiter position?"

July Quinn was desperate to get rid of these two.

"Why would a top student in the broadcasting department become a waiter?"

Holly Holt’s tone was filled with animosity.

Though Nina Quinn wasn’t as aggressive, her disdain was evident.

"July, if you’re having trouble finding a job, just let me know. I can ask Brother Nathan to help you."

Apparently, both were worried about being seen as the same type of person as July Quinn, who wanted to be a waiter, and they soon left.

Once they were gone, July Quinn headed straight to the café on the second floor.

"Sorry, Mr. Lynn, for letting you witness such a scene."

July Quinn had met Vivian Lynn briefly before when she was following up on Project Lime.

They weren’t strangers, but not quite familiar either.

"About the proposal I mentioned over the phone..."

July Quinn was about to get straight to the point.

But Vivian Lynn suddenly interrupted her: "Do you have a grudge against Holly Holt?"
