Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 22: Claiming First Blood!
CHAPTER 22: CHAPTER 22: CLAIMING FIRST BLOOD!
"It’s not exactly a grudge. She’s just the kind of person who, with a grandfather as the station manager, likes to look down on people, making it hard for anyone to actually like her."
July Quinn didn’t want to talk more about Holly Holt.
Holly Holt’s grandfather is the manager of Westmarch Television, which previously collaborated with Project Lime.
Because of this connection, Nina Quinn replaced July Quinn as the project lead for Project Lime, and the TV station didn’t pursue it further.
This made July Quinn dislike Holly Holt even more.
But unexpectedly, Vivian Lynn was even more direct: "I don’t like her either; she’s completely bitchy. So..."
She took a sip of coffee, her red lips curving perfectly in a mature fashion: "Let’s partner up."
July Quinn’s alluring dark eyes showed a hint of surprise.
Even though she performed exceptionally well in Project Lime, she’s still just a rookie in this industry.
No platform would bet on an uncertain project and a rookie.
Especially a platform like Wisteria TV, currently at a low point, which could be swallowed by other companies if it’s not careful.
So before meeting Vivian Lynn, she did a lot of research in order to persuade Vivian to agree to a partnership.
However, she was also prepared to be rejected and to look for other collaborators.
She never thought things would go so smoothly.
She hadn’t even fully explained the plan, not to mention discussing the funding, and Vivian Lynn already agreed?
"Why?" July Quinn asked, still puzzled.
Vivian Lynn chuckled, "I already had a good feeling about your work on Project Lime before, so I believe you can do well at Wisteria too."
"But there’s already a Project Lime, aren’t you worried about audience burnout?" July Quinn probed further.
"There might be, but I trust you’ll manage it well."
"But I think Wisteria is at a critical stage now. You shouldn’t place all bets on a stranger."
Even though July Quinn was eager to secure this collaboration, she knew some things needed to be made clear.
Vivian Lynn listened to July Quinn’s analysis, her smile becoming more pronounced.
From their first encounter, she had a good impression of July Quinn, so young yet remarkably intelligent.
July’s recent words further confirmed she was composed and poised, with the true aura of an undiscovered leader.
Maybe the Quinn Family was blind to push someone like her away.
"If you really want a reason, it’s because I detest Holly Holt and the Holt Family, too. As long as there’s even a one in a million chance of ruining the Holts, I would gamble everything."
Vivian Lynn felt July Quinn was someone worth forging a deeper connection with, so she didn’t mind showing her animosity towards the Holts.
July Quinn’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.
She had done some research on Vivian Lynn before seeking a collaboration.
She knew Vivian Lynn had an ex-boyfriend of ten years, who is now discussing marriage with Holly Holt.
Perhaps Vivian Lynn’s feud with Holly and the Holt Family started from there.
Before July Quinn could speak, Vivian Lynn continued: "Of course, you don’t need to feel too pressured. I’ll get a professional team to handle public relations and try to make this project a success."
"What if I can’t make this project work?"
As the saying goes, ugly truths need to be spoken first.
"Then I can sell Wisteria and travel around the world."
Vivian Lynn had a positive mindset.
July Quinn casually picked up her coffee and clinked it with Vivian Lynn’s: "Here’s to a pleasant collaboration."

Today’s events went unexpectedly smoothly, so by three in the afternoon, July Quinn found herself with nothing to do.
"An idle mind is the devil’s playground," perfectly describes her.
As soon as she had some free time, all she could think about was—taking down her uncle...
So, she walked into a lingerie store...
