CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: DAY AFTER DAY, NIGHT AFTER NIGHT

July Quinn returned to her small minimalist apartment, and Kyle Keaton was already home.

He seemed to have just showered, wearing a black silk robe, working on something on his laptop while sitting on the couch.

The sunset outside the window cast its glow on his profile, giving his already exquisite features a golden edge, making him look even more stunning.

Though yesterday’s incident still made July grind her teeth a bit. But hey, he’s the little uncle.

If he’s the little uncle, he deserves to be pampered.

July Quinn immediately tossed aside her bag and exaggeratedly flung herself onto the couch.

But the man seemed to notice her rushing towards him and deliberately moved aside, letting her miss her target.

Yet July Quinn wasn’t discouraged by the miss; she simply rested her head on the man’s lap, hooked her arms around his neck, and smiled flirtatiously.

"Honey, back so early today, did you miss me?"

"The sky isn’t dark yet, dreaming again?"

The man didn’t even glance at her and continued organizing files on his computer.

July Quinn wasn’t annoyed, still gazing at his handsome jawline, her eyes full of affection.

"If I’m dreaming, it’s a spring dream, and you’re in it, hubby."

A few words, and the tires ran right over his face again.

Her words were likely to make one think of all sorts of imaginative images.

This made Kyle Keaton a bit vexed with how his self-control had become so poor, while unconsciously wondering if July Quinn used such flirtation tactics in front of Nathan Jacobs or other ex-boyfriends.

Kyle Keaton was also a man of action.

The moment the thought arose, he pinched July Quinn’s sharp chin, coldly questioning.

"Do you act so flirty and frivolous in front of other men too?"

The question only brought July Quinn’s light laugh.

"Honey, are you jealous?"

"Confidence is good, but overconfidence means you need a reality check."

The man’s words were ruthless, and his gaze was sharp.

July Quinn knew well that the little uncle wasn’t jealous.

After all, they’ve only known each other for a few days. Even if they touched each other here and there, there wasn’t enough time to develop feelings, let alone jealousy.

After weighing things, July Quinn tightened her grip on the man’s neck to draw his face closer, then quickly and accurately pecked his cheek.

As expected, the man was slightly annoyed.

But before he could flare up, July Quinn hit him with another dose of sweet talk.

"Don’t worry, hubby. July only wants to be with you day and night, hmm hmm and ah ah."

Kyle Keaton: "..."

This woman started teasing again.

Though she had incited another wave of wild thoughts in him, her words subtly hinted she hadn’t acted like this with others.

Strangely, it cleared up his gloomy mood that had been lingering all day.

So he decided to make a rare trip to the supermarket to buy ingredients for tonight’s dinner.

July Quinn, that clingy little sprite, naturally tagged along.

What baffled Kyle Keaton was July Quinn’s unfamiliarity with many vegetables, not to mention instant noodles.

Here she was, standing before a shelf full of instant noodles, looking at them like a country bumpkin, staring dumbfounded.

"Wow, so many noodles, they all look delicious."

"This one has lots of shrimp, let’s buy it, it must taste great."

"That’s just a marketing ploy. There are no shrimp in here, just like there are no wives in wife cakes."

Finishing his patient explanation, Kyle Keaton asked, "Have you really never eaten them, or are you pretending?"

In this day and age, Kyle Keaton had never seen someone who hadn’t eaten instant noodles.

Though he himself hadn’t eaten them either, but that’s because he disliked fried foods.

"I’ve truly never had them. I want all of these..."

Kyle Keaton turned around, seeing a shopping cart piled high with instant noodles.

He expressionlessly twitched his lips.

Just then, July Quinn, who had cleared half the shelf, suddenly turned around and gave him a charming smile.

"By the way, hubby, can you go somewhere with me this weekend?"
