July Quinn took the invitation, "Alright, I’ll attend. If you all aren’t bothered, what do I have to fear?"

Nina Quinn’s smile immediately froze: "..."

In fact, she just wanted to show off her happiness in front of July Quinn, flaunting the engagement at the internationally famous and expensive Hawes Presidential Hotel, just to make July envious and jealous.

But she never expected July to retort instead.

She had no way to respond to that!

However, July didn’t give her a chance to speak, and continued, "But for you and Nathan to get engaged and The Jacobs Family to only mention it at Old Master Jacobs’ birthday banquet, it’s really both economical and casual."

Nina nearly had a heart attack from anger and quickly retorted.

"July, The Jacobs Family isn’t doing this to save money. They just think that with grandpa’s birthday, more guests will attend, so they plan to announce the engagement at the birthday banquet. It’s a sign of respect for me and seriousness about our engagement, not a casual decision."

"Is that so? But don’t you think having no engagement party really saves The Jacobs Family quite a bit?"

This time, July didn’t give Nina a chance to argue and added, "But now it’s their uncle managing The Jacobs Family, with money and power not in Nathan’s parents’ hands, it’s reasonable to be thrifty."

"Alright, I’ve received the invitation, I’ll head back to work now."

After getting the invitation, July finally entered Kyle Keaton’s office.

Kyle, seeing her push the door open, buried himself in the pile of documents.

"Honey, what’s up with you today? Why didn’t you wait for me to go to work together?"

July casually placed the invitation on Kyle’s desk and started to organize the documents regarding the Caelan Sea project.

She wanted to figure out why Kyle was acting so aloof, making it hard to understand him, like a moody girl on one hand.

On the other hand, her task was to stay by her assistant husband, organize documents about the Caelan Sea project, and learn from them.

But her husband didn’t even glance at her, "It’s work time now. We’ll talk about unrelated topics after hours."

July simply set the documents aside, wrapped her arms around Kyle’s neck from behind, "Why didn’t you think it was work time when you kissed me yesterday while doing private things?"

While speaking, her hand slid down from Kyle’s neck, drawing circles on his chest.

In such a situation, how could Kyle possibly concentrate?

He immediately grabbed her mischievous hand, growling lowly, "July Quinn, behave yourself!"

But July just snuggled into his embrace, straddling his legs, "No way! Women who can act coy have the best life, being well-behaved is useless!"

In just a few moves, July could feel all of Kyle’s muscles tense up.

Especially those deep eyes, unable to hide his thoughts.

July’s lips curled into a victorious smile instantly.

Noticing the woman’s mockery, Kyle was filled with anger.

"What exactly do you want?"

Why did she suddenly come over to provoke him again?

If it weren’t for the fear of being caught in an embarrassing state again, he would have wanted to handle her right on this desk to see if she dared provoke him again!

"I just wanted to ask what happened to you this morning, why are you ignoring me, and fed me a mouthful of car exhaust?"
