Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 877: It’s Either Her or Me!
CHAPTER 877: CHAPTER 877: IT’S EITHER HER OR ME!
"You gave her the best of everything, what about me!"
The room with the best lighting, Yvonne Donovan always wanted it as her violin room, but Richard Donovan didn’t allow it.
The most beautiful sports car, Yvonne Donovan always hoped it would be hers, but Richard wouldn’t give it to her.
So many maids and bodyguards, Yvonne Donovan always wanted to have, but Richard always dismissed her with the need to be low-key.
She always thought Richard was worried that being too high-profile would bring unnecessary trouble, but now it seems he just didn’t love her enough.
"Yvonne, I’ve always been by your side, letting you grow up carefree, which is the best for you. But July has been wandering outside for so many years, lonely and isolated. I’m only trying my best to make up to her."
"Haha, do you think I’ll believe that crap?"
Yvonne Donovan didn’t believe that July Quinn had been wandering for years, lonely and isolated.
She only felt that these were excuses her father made to favor July Quinn.
"You’re still young now, when you grow up, you’ll know why I did this. For you, even if July joins this family, nothing will change."
In Richard Donovan’s eyes, he would still love Yvonne Donovan the same, and the family would continue to care for her; nothing would change.
But for Yvonne Donovan, her father’s love was no longer solely hers; her pride had vanished.
"I don’t want it! I don’t want her living in our house!"
She lashed out while coldly addressing July Quinn, "In this house, it’s either her or me!"
After saying that, Yvonne Donovan ran out.
"Silly girl, why are you running? Why aren’t you guys going to bring her back!"
Old Master Donovan was most anxious when Yvonne ran, shouting for people to chase after her.
If it weren’t for his inconvenient legs and needing a cane to walk, he would have gone after Yvonne himself.
Several of Yvonne’s cousins went to chase after her, and seeing this, Richard felt relieved.
So he pulled July Quinn along, "Don’t worry about them now. Dad prepared a huge cake to welcome you."
But July Quinn seemed uninterested in the cake, so Richard said, "How about we go and check out your room first? I had them start setting it up yesterday, it should be about done."
"And your car, I had it sent to the garage for maintenance and cleaning, it’ll be brought over for you to see later."
"By the way, do you like cats or dogs? I’ve noticed a lot of young people nowadays have pets. Should I get you a cat or a dog? Or maybe both?"
"What do you like for breakfast? When I picked you up this morning, why were you eating instant noodles? That’s not very healthy, don’t eat those often."
Yes, the one who talks so much is Richard Donovan.
Yet this chatty side of him was something Jenna Sawyer hadn’t seen in twenty years of living with him.
And still, July Quinn showed little interest in engaging him, occasionally giving a reluctant response.
"I just like eating instant noodles. There’s nothing better than instant noodles."
As soon as Richard heard her rebellion, he immediately conceded.
"Alright then, you can eat them if you like, but just not too often."
July turned and headed upstairs, planning to check out her room.
Richard quickly led the way, "I also found some clothes that might suit you, they’ll be delivered later..."
Jenna Sawyer watched Richard eagerly catering to July Quinn, just like he did beside Laura Quinn in the past, eyes filled with something toxic...
