Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 887: Failing to Win Favor
CHAPTER 887: CHAPTER 887: FAILING TO WIN FAVOR
Old Master Donovan looked at July Quinn with a sense of frustration.
How is it that despite their blood ties, this child didn’t get close to him?
Moreover, from yesterday until now, the child hadn’t even called him "Grandpa" once, nor had she spoken to him proactively.
How could she be likable like this?
This is why it’s better to have granddaughters that you watch grow up yourself!
Like Yvonne, every time she sees him, she enthusiastically rushes to his side.
Whenever she has something delicious, she always thinks of him first.
July Quinn, aside from a decent appearance, has nothing commendable. How could she possibly win his heart?
The more he thought about it, the more Old Master Donovan disliked July Quinn, saying, "As long as it’s not someone else earning for you, that’s fine."
He now just wanted to get July Quinn out of the way, so that Yvonne wouldn’t continue feeling upset.
But he didn’t expect that July Quinn would say, "Oh, then the task should be completed in the next day or two."
"Didn’t anyone teach you not to spout nonsense?" Old Master Donovan’s face darkened.
Make sixty million in a day or two?
Honestly, Old Master Donovan thought the girl must be quite dense.
Especially the way she boasted, it was really off-putting.
"No." July Quinn replied.
No one taught her not to spout nonsense, besides, she wasn’t talking nonsense.
"I see, you haven’t even stepped out of a university campus, how could you possibly know that making money isn’t easy? But I believe after this time, you’ll understand what should be said and what shouldn’t be said."
July Quinn couldn’t be bothered with him, "Can I go now?"
She didn’t like this oppressive dialogue space at all.
"You can, but for now, let your cousin Quentin accompany you. After all, two hundred million is no small sum!"
Because he didn’t like her, Old Master Donovan couldn’t be bothered to investigate everything about July Quinn.
To him, July Quinn was just inexperienced, and he worried she’d foolishly spend the two hundred million, or be swindled out of it.
"That’s fine, as long as he doesn’t interfere with my matters."
With that, July Quinn left.
Old Master Donovan unconsciously compared her to Yvonne again: "Leaving without even a goodbye, my Yvonne would never do that. I don’t understand what Richard is thinking, having someone like that in The Donovan Family’s lineage, it just lowers everyone’s standards."
After July Quinn left Old Master Donovan’s room, a tall, lean young man walked up to her.
"July, hi, I’m Quentin Donovan. I’m sure you’ve heard what the old man just said, right? He wants me to stay with you for now during this period."
Quentin Donovan didn’t particularly like or dislike July Quinn.
He just thought these years she had wandered on her own, it wasn’t easy for her.
If she were as well-behaved and sensible as Yvonne, he wouldn’t mind having another cousin like her.
Might even teach her a shortcut to possibly secure sixty million within a month, to help her find her footing in The Donovan Family.
But the warm scene he imagined between cousins didn’t materialize, July Quinn simply nodded slightly and said, "Hello."
Then she briskly walked towards the main gate.
Quentin Donovan immediately frowned!
So rude, really incomparable to Yvonne.
Looks like there’s no need for him to help her.
"Where are you going?"
A few minutes later, Quentin Donovan caught up to July Quinn.
But his attitude was noticeably more distant than before.
Yet July Quinn didn’t seem to notice, she continued her aloof demeanor: "Shopping, buying clothes."
"Isn’t your primary task now to make money? Why waste time on other things?"
Quentin Donovan frowned.
