Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 9: Wedding Night
CHAPTER 9: CHAPTER 9: WEDDING NIGHT
Nina Quinn drank several gulps of ice water and even secretly turned the air conditioning in the private room to its maximum, but to no avail.
She began to tug at the buttons on the neckline of her dress again.
"Nina, what’s wrong?" Nathan Jacobs noticed something was amiss and came over.
"Brother Nathan, I feel so hot all over," Nina Quinn said, as she suddenly wrapped her arms around Nathan Jacobs’ waist.
Strangely, the heat that wouldn’t dissipate earlier seemed to subside significantly as soon as she was close to Nathan Jacobs.
So much so that Nina Quinn couldn’t wait to have more physical contact with Nathan Jacobs.
"You seem off,"
Nathan Jacobs frowned.
Though he had been in the circle for a long time and hadn’t personally tried it, he knew what the effects were like.
"I know, I think I drank something unclean."
Nina Quinn said anxiously, tears coloring her voice.
Why is it that July Quinn drank that glass of champagne and was fine, but she herself...
"Don’t move! I’ll get you out of here first."
Nathan Jacobs hurriedly held down her restless hands, supporting her as they walked towards the private room’s door.
July Quinn watched their departing backs, a subtle smile playing at the corners of her lips.
Did they really think she had no reason to sing the nursery rhyme "ABC" for them?
It was merely a sleight of hand to divert their attention while she switched the spiked champagne.
Since Nina Quinn dared to use such low tricks on her, she couldn’t complain if July returned the favor in kind.
It was just that Nina Quinn was lucky to be saved by Nathan Jacobs.
However...
She had another way to play the game.
"I’m going to the restroom outside."
Using the excuse of going to the restroom, July Quinn also left the private room.
She quietly followed behind Nina Quinn and Nathan Jacobs all the way, and when they both entered a private room and banging noises came from within, she picked up her phone.
"Officer, I report someone engaging in illegal activities."
Approximately half an hour later, the police burst into that private room.
Inside the room came the sounds of Nina Quinn shouting and Nathan Jacobs resisting.
"Don’t touch me! What illegal activities? I didn’t do any such thing!"
"I’m Nathan from the Jacobs Family, this is my fiancée, we’re having a normal romantic relationship, nothing illegal. I know your chief, I..."
"Please come with us. If the investigation shows you’re a couple, you’ll naturally be released."
Soon, the two disheveled individuals were forcibly escorted out of the private room by the police.
Others in the nearby private rooms heard the commotion and came over to watch.
The guests who had attended Nina Quinn’s celebration party were among them.
"Oh my, Master Jacobs and Nina really got taken away."
"It’s their own fault for not being discreet. If they wanted to be intimate, they could’ve just gone home instead of hastily doing it in someone else’s private room, thinking of Blue Jazz as what?"
"This Nina Quinn seemed so distant and cold before, who knew she was so wild!"
In front of everyone’s eyes, Nathan Jacobs and Nina Quinn were embarrassingly put into the police car.
From afar, July Quinn watched the scene, a faint smile on her lips.
Although it was unfortunate that Nina Quinn didn’t perform a striptease in public,
being handcuffed onto a police car under the pretense of illegal activities in front of an audience would undoubtedly become a lifelong nightmare for Nina Quinn and Nathan Jacobs.
Having punished the villain, July Quinn intended to leave with her name and profits hidden.
Unexpectedly, someone grabbed her, pinning her against a secluded corner of Blue Jazz.
July Quinn recognized Kyle Keaton’s handsome face and was a bit flustered.
"Why is Uncle here?"
Before she could speak, Kyle Keaton looked down at her with a chilling gaze: "Was it you who just reported to the police?"
July Quinn: "..."
This was a textbook affirmative tone wrapped in a question from a romance novel!
Could it be he caught her red-handed while she was reporting his nephew to the police?
If so, this was truly a socially fatal scene!
Her mind was in chaos, but July Quinn still lightly admitted guilt.
"I just can’t stand some people doing unscrupulous things relying on their figures."
She even turned the tables: "Speaking of which, husband, why are you here? If I remember correctly, it’s our wedding night..."
Kyle Keaton frowned, looking at his titular wife.
She really was beautiful, and smart.
Even when caught red-handed, she could deftly turn the tables and divert attention.
It seemed she was adept at disguising herself.
If that was the case, then he would personally tear off this disguise.
Kyle Keaton pressed closer, his face just millimeters away from July Quinn’s.
Their breaths mingled...
