Those hundreds of wolf corpses lying on the ground were piled onto Vine Shields, bound with vines to make a makeshift sled and pulled back to Dragon Nest Village, similar treatment was given to the heavily injured, sitting on Vine Shields pulled back to the village by uninjured Beastmen.

Luckily, from the ambush to returning to the village, they didn’t have the misfortune of encountering any fierce hunters, although some famished hyenas were drawn by the smell of blood upon return to the village, upon seeing the Blue Young Dragon soaring down from the sky, they scrambled away chaotically.

The Beastman army returned safely to Dragon Nest Village unharmed.

Upon return to the lair, Austin picked several keen-scented Kobolds to track the Blood Wolf pack’s trails and locate their den.

Unexpectedly, within the Blood Wolf’s den, the Blue Young Dragon discovered a tree that remained lush in the heavy snow, and found a few blood-red fruits on its branches, fruits containing magic!

Perhaps the formation of the Blood Wolf pack was related to the lush tree amid the cold winter, Austin then planned to move this tree to his own nest for protection after the cold winter passed.

Aside from the magic-containing tree, Austin also found a skin-and-bones mother Blood Wolf and over a dozen hungry, howling young wolves in the den.

Maybe it was because Austin had become stronger, awakened a trace of draconic majesty, or perhaps with the Blood Wolf pack absent, the mother wolf growled aggressively yet with fear at the arrival of the Blue Young Dragon.

But as Austin approached, the mother Blood Wolf finally let out a strange cry, lying on the ground in surrender.

Thus, the Blue Young Dragon naturally took the mother and young wolves back to Dragon Nest Village for breeding, and come next summer, these fierce hunters would certainly add more power under Austin’s command.
