CHAPTER 159 - HIRATSUKA SHIZUKA’S BLIND DATE ADVENTURE [BONUS CHAPTER 2/4]

"Mm..."

In her room, Mrs. Yuigahama opened her eyes. She had been about to take a nap but was suddenly woken by some noise. "Could it be a mouse?" Mrs. Yuigahama got out of bed, put on her slippers, and followed the sound.

As she got closer, she heard it more clearly. It sounded like music, and it seemed to be coming from just outside the door. She walked to the door, pressed the handle, and the door opened.

The music suddenly became extremely clear, causing her to freeze in place. The moment she heard it clearly, Mrs. Yuigahama understood what was happening. Music was coming from Yui's room; it sounded like a symphony. The very thing she hadn't worried about at all had happened!

[Click!]

She heard the sound of Yui's door opening. Mrs. Yuigahama hastily rushed out of the room. What she saw was a refreshed and neat Ren just coming out of Yui's room. Ren glanced at Mrs. Yuigahama's new pajamas and chuckled dryly. "Mrs. Yuigahama, thank you for your hospitality last night. The rain has stopped, so I'll be leaving now."

"Oh, and Yui... she's not feeling well, so she might not be able to go to class tomorrow. I'll help her ask for leave then."

Mrs. Yuigahama forced a smile, her eyes somewhat avoiding Ren's gaze, but she still responded, "Alright, then I'll have to trouble Ren."

Ren walked along the night street, now dark and illuminated by neon lights. Thinking of Yui's affection, a gentle smile involuntarily appeared on his lips. He chose to leave not because he didn't want to stay with Yui but because he was well aware that their undisguised movements must have been heard by Yui's mother. It was clearly inappropriate to linger in Yui's room at a time like this. With Mrs. Yuigahama there, there was no need to worry about Yui having any problems.

Looking up at the night sky, that special heavy rain had indeed stopped. But the surrounding streets were chaotic and messy due to the sudden downpour. There were many fallen storefront signs, overturned trash cans, and broken tree branches. Some people were still busily cleaning up the debris on the streets. "That rain..." Ren recalled that rain and always felt something was off. At the time, he had only glanced at the sky before Yui pulled him back inside, so he didn't know exactly what it was.

"Is this the place?" A familiar voice caught Ren's attention. He turned his head in the direction of the voice. "Hmm? Shizuka-sensei?" Ren wasn't mistaken; stepping out of a red sports car was Hiratsuka Shizuka, dressed in a red dress. It must be said, Hiratsuka Shizuka in a red dress and red high heels looked truly beautiful.

If one didn't look at her actions. She was leaning against the car door, smoking a cigarette in a carefree manner. Shizuka-sensei's car was parked in front of a restaurant named 'Shards'.

"Miss Hiratsuka Shizuka!" A short-haired man in a suit walked out of the restaurant; he wore glasses and looked refined. "I am Vinsuke." He extended his hand to shake her hand.

Hiratsuka Shizuka merely glanced at him and understood that the blind date arranged by her family was likely going to fall through. She was about to shake his hand when she suddenly covered her nose. "What is that smell on you?" It was a very pungent smell that suddenly assailed her nostrils.

The man in the suit, Vinsuke, retracted his hand, touched his suit, and a barely perceptible hint of triumph flashed in his eyes. He apologized, "I'm sorry, it might be the smell of seasonings I picked up from the kitchen just now."

"Miss Hiratsuka Shizuka, please come inside the restaurant first." With that, he extended his hand, attempting to take her hand. But unexpectedly, it was grasped by another strong and powerful hand.

"Sir, you are guilty." Vinsuke froze for a moment, then looked at the person holding his hand with displeasure. "What are you talking about? Could you please let go of my hand?"

"Ren? Why are you here?" Hiratsuka Shizuka was surprised by Ren's sudden appearance.

Ren smiled at her. "Just passing by, and I saw this sinner."

"Sinner?" Hiratsuka Shizuka was completely bewildered by what Ren was saying.

Vinsuke had just tried to break free from Ren's hand but found it impossible; he reprimanded Ren, "Let go quickly, or I'll call the police."

"Heh heh." Not only did Ren not let go, but he also sneered. He exerted force with his hand. [Crack! Crack!] The sound of bones shattering was heard.

"Ah ah ah ah!" Vinsuke's veins bulged, and he screamed in pain; his hand had been crushed by Ren.

"Ren, what are you doing?" Hiratsuka Shizuka panicked. She wasn't worried about Vinsuke but rather about Ren getting into trouble for intentional injury.

"Help! Call the police!" Vinsuke shouted to the side, just as some passersby walked by. Strangely, those passersby seemed not to notice them at all. Vinsuke reached out with his other hand to pull a passerby's clothing.

"Hmm? Is it windy?" The passerby pulled back his clothing, scratched his head, and walked away in confusion.

[!!!] This bizarre scene was witnessed by Vinsuke and Hiratsuka Shizuka. "What's going on?" Hiratsuka Shizuka turned to look around but found that not a single person was looking their way. Even the usual onlookers were nowhere to be seen.
