CHAPTER 284: MONSTER CREATION AND GENE CONTROL CREATING LIFE
Chapter 283: Monster Creation and Gene Control Creating Life!
Even though Tsunade had learned some of Konoha’s past darkness after becoming Hokage, her attitude toward Sarutobi Hiruzen had only become disrespectful and indifferent.
But she had just discovered that she only knew the tip of the iceberg about her former teacher.
Tsunade’s face was like frost, her knuckles clenched so tightly they cracked.
The intermarriage of the Senju Clan’s bloodline with civilians was a decision made by her great-uncle, Tobirama Senju, which she could understand. However, her great-uncle never intended to kill all the pure-blooded Senju Clan members.
But her teacher... no, Sarutobi Hiruzen...
The fact that the entire Senju Clan perished on the battlefield was actually orchestrated by him.
She had always thought the Senju had died honorably in battle, never imagining it was all for Sarutobi Hiruzen to consolidate his own clan’s ruling position. With the Senju gone, the Sarutobi line would become the most prominent.
Dan Kato’s death also involved him.
As she processed the other parts of the memory, Tsunade’s gaze grew even darker, as if wanting to devour someone. "Orochimaru! Danzo!"
Those damned people had actually used the corpses of the Senju Clan for human experiments.
Besides the Senju, the Uchiha, Hyuga, Nara, Akimichi, Yamanaka, and Aburame clans—all had members who were persecuted and used as experimental materials.
The only ones missing were Sarutobi Hiruzen’s Sarutobi Clan and Shimura Danzo’s Shimura Clan.
What chilled Tsunade’s heart even more was that Dan Kato, the man who almost became her lover, was actually one of Sarutobi Hiruzen’s pawns.
Various other matters also bore Hiruzen’s shadow, more or less. That’s how his position remained so high; everything was for his title as Hokage, for his center of power.
Sarutobi Hiruzen!
If this weren’t Kushina’s home, Tsunade would have already punched the ground to vent the frustration in her heart.
Seeing the situation clearly, Ren asked, "Do you want me to help you out?"
"Help me out?" Tsunade frowned in confusion, not understanding his meaning.
Ren extended a hand, and a black energy drilled out from his fingertip. In the blink of an eye, the energy completely transformed into a person... a perfect replica of Sarutobi Hiruzen.
"Sarutobi Hiruzen!" Tsunade clenched her fists, ready to strike.
Boom!
A shockwave of air exploded.
Tsunade looked forward in disbelief. Ren stood in front of her, blocking the replica, and had caught her fist with one hand.
Her full-force punch, powered by her monstrous strength, was actually stopped by a single hand.
"Do you need to be in such a rush?" Black lines appeared on Ren’s forehead. "Let me finish talking."
"This Sarutobi Hiruzen is a replica I created through my own abilities."
He had merely used Monster Creation to create a monster with a body identical to Hiruzen’s. However, the intelligence of such monsters is low; they can only follow commands.
So he also used Gene Control to perfectly replicate Sarutobi Hiruzen’s genes. Now, this was a Sarutobi Hiruzen who would obey his every command.
"You can even do something like this?"
After hearing the explanation, Tsunade was shocked. Ch’en and Furina, among others, were also amazed by Ren’s method of creating life.
"With this guy around, I think you should know how to handle Konoha’s affairs, right? Just kill those who need to be killed."
Ren also told Tsunade not to worry about the timeline issue; after the timelines merged, there would be a time correction. Never underestimate the power of a timeline.
He did this mainly to give them something to do, as he wasn’t planning to bring too many people on the next part of the mission. To put it bluntly, they would be a burden. They couldn’t handle matters concerning time.
"Who among you wants to stay, and who wants to go with me to other timelines?" Ren had already explained what they were going to do next.
The task was simple yet complicated. They would go to each separated timeline, find the Time Anchors, and eliminate any "Time-Thieves" they encountered. Finally, all the timelines would be stitched back together.
It was simple, at least for Ren. As for the others, some were expressionless, while others frowned. There really was nothing for them to do.
Only Tokisaki Kurumi’s eyes flickered. She spoke with an elegant and gentle voice.
"If it involves the power of time, may I go with you?"
"Yes." Ren nodded without hesitation. He knew she wanted to understand the power of time, and he didn’t mind.
"Anyone else want to come along?"
Ren scanned the crowd. Almost all of them, knowing their limits, remained silent.
Tsunade had matters in Konoha to deal with; she probably had a long list of people she wanted to kill, like Danzo and those old fogeys, Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado.
Ch’en planned to examine this world’s management system, either to learn from it or use it as a warning.
Mumei and Furina were simply weaker. At least Mumei had the body of a Redemption Angel; Furina had no power at all.
Nami didn’t want to cause trouble and sensibly stayed behind.
Finally, only Esdeath and Exusiai remained.
"What about you two?" Ren asked.
Esdeath nodded without a word. "I’ll go. Perhaps we’ll encounter some enemies along the way. Leave them to me."
"Alright." Ren didn’t think it was impossible. Encountering enemies while searching for Time Anchors was likely, so letting Esdeath handle them wasn’t a problem.
The last person was Exusiai. Her halo had returned to its normal color, and she grinned as usual. "Then I want to go too."
She didn’t say why, and Ren didn’t ask.
Having decided on the team, Ren prepared to activate the King of Chronos’s ability to travel to the nearest timeline. Just as he confirmed the target, he heard Kushina, who had been silently looking down, exclaim, "I want to go too!"
Everyone looked at her.
Ren was also surprised. He had thought Kushina would stay behind, given that she lived here.
Unexpectedly, Kushina lowered her head, wiped the corners of her eyes, and then looked up, saying despondently, "I just... want to leave Konoha."
Yes. Kushina wanted to leave Konoha.
She now felt that everything here was so fake, so fake that she couldn’t bear to stay.
"It seems you’ve taken a big hit. Come along, then. I’ll take you to clear your head."
After Ren finished speaking, he activated the power of time, enveloping the small group and heading towards the confirmed timeline.
