Chapter 1058: Wherever You Are, We’ll Be There
TL: GoldenLung
"Through some of the recent tasks I’ve undertaken, I’ve found a few opportunities that allow me to provide everyone with more cultivation resources. Let’s grow together and ensure that the Thirty-Three Sky Wings remain united as one. I won’t say something melodramatic like, ‘If you don’t want to be part of this collective, you can leave.’ What I can tell you is this: follow me, and I’ll lead you to godhood.”
As Lan Xuanyu finished his last sentence, he couldn’t help but burst into laughter himself.
“Long live the class leader!” Ding Zhuohan was the first to shout.
The atmosphere instantly became enthusiastic. Everyone’s eyes burned with passion as they looked at Lan Xuanyu.
They had spent six years together, growing from boys and girls to young men and women. Lan Xuanyu, their class leader, team leader, and First Wing, had never once broken a promise. If he wasn’t certain he could do something, he wouldn’t make a commitment.
Although they didn’t yet know exactly what had happened to Lan Xuanyu, the fact that he said he would lead them to godhood meant he must have a solid plan.
“Class leader, just tell us what we need to do,” Jia Yu said.
Lan Xuanyu replied, “For now, there’s nothing you need to do. Just focus on your cultivation and improving your strength. Don’t rush into acquiring your Three-Word Battle Armor—I’ll prepare better metals for everyone. Once our one-year military training is complete, we’ll return to Eternal Sky City. I just visited the Academy, and based on what we’ve contributed, it's enough to allow all of us to train in the Inner Court. No one will be able to find fault with us anymore.”
“I have a question,” Bing Tianliang suddenly raised his hand.
Lan Xuanyu looked at him. “Go ahead.”
Bing Tianliang asked, “Class leader, from what you said, when the year is up, we’ll return to the Academy. But you and the others might not, right?”
Lan Xuanyu nodded. “Because it involves military secrets, I can’t say much. But we’re staying here to bring everyone more cultivation resources.”
“I understand. But class leader, none of us want unearned rewards. We’ve actually discussed this many times. Over the years, we’ve all seen everything you’ve done for us. You’ve always been the one making sacrifices, and we’ve done nothing for you in return. We all feel guilty about that—uneasy, even. We don’t want to be parasites at your side; we want to be your true companions. Also…”
At that point, Ding Zhuohan, standing beside him, interjected, “Class leader, wherever you go, we go. If you’re on the front line, we’re on the front line. If you return to Shrek Academy, then we’ll return to Shrek Academy.”
“That’s right, class leader. Wherever you are, we’ll be there.” Everyone's gaze turned determined as they looked at Lan Xuanyu and spoke from the heart.
Even Lin Donghui, who rarely spoke, said, “They’re right. Class leader, we all want to help you.”
There was no doubt that the Thirty-Three Sky Wings’ growth was inseparable from Lan Xuanyu. Everyone had witnessed his dedication. But they were also outstanding students of Shrek Academy. None of them wanted to remain passive beneficiaries—they wanted to do something for him.
Looking at the burning determination in his comrades’ eyes, Lan Xuanyu felt a wave of warmth and emotion in his heart. He took a deep breath and said, “Alright, then let’s stay together. Right now, the seven of us are about to embark on a mission to infiltrate Celestial Dragon Planet. Once we’re settled there, we’ll bring you over to join us. Mengqin, distribute the items.”
The items he referred to came from the Immortal Spirit Land—fruits borne by ten-thousand-year-old plant-type beings. Though not as potent as the beings themselves, the fruits were rich in energy and suitable for direct consumption and absorption.
Each person would receive a different fruit based on their unique physical attributes, and the benefits would be substantial. Normally, ten-thousand-year plant-type beings would never part with such items—each fruit contained part of their life force. Giving them up was akin to sharing their life essence. But with the Treasure Seeking Beast and Lan Xuanyu involved—and the opportunity to travel to Celestial Dragon Planet—the beings were willing to be generous.
Except for Lan Xuanyu, everyone would receive a share.
Lan Xuanyu himself had absorbed divine-level life energy from the Eternal Tree and needed time to digest it.
After making arrangements for their comrades, Lan Xuanyu and his team of seven wasted no time. They immediately set off, quietly piloting the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship out of the Dragon Three warship and heading straight for Celestial Dragon Planet.
To coordinate with his mission, the rest of the Federation fleet had already withdrawn to the edge of the Dragon Horse Galaxy. However, the Seventh Fleet remained stationed at the closest position to Celestial Dragon Planet.
This time, Lan Xuanyu’s status was completely different. As an eighth-level Sky Fighter, he could command warships to support them and had access to vast Federation resources—even large-scale weapons of mass destruction.
That said, Lan Xuanyu had no intention of bombing Celestial Dragon Planet. The planet was rich in resources, most of which were still undeveloped.
If Celestial Dragon Planet could one day belong to humanity, that would be the ideal scenario.
The planet itself was a treasure trove.
Three days later, aboard the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship, Lan Xuanyu once again saw the beautiful and massive planet.
Upon returning to Celestial Dragon Planet’s outer space, he felt a wave of familiarity.
The Spaceborne Clan’s warships were nowhere to be seen. It was unclear what agreement they had reached with Celestial Dragon Planet, but there was no longer any standoff.
Celestial Dragon Planet looked far more secure than during his last visit—no warships patrolled its surroundings.
Lan Xuanyu brought the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship to a halt in space and set it to silent mode.
Before departing the mother planet, the Tang Sect had informed him that upon his return, the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship would receive a full upgrade, making it even more powerful.
“Prepare to deploy,” Lan Xuanyu stepped down from the main control station. The others unbuckled their safety belts and gathered around him.
Everyone did a final check and left anything that might reveal their human identities onboard the warship. Then they moved to the rear cabin and entered their Sky Wing mechas.
The rear cabin opened, and the seven launched one after another. Once in space, the mechas quickly transformed into Sky Wing fighter jets, forming a squad and flying straight toward Celestial Dragon Planet.
The Treasure Seeking Beast used its illusion abilities to shroud all seven jets in concealment. Combined with their own stealth functions, they soon disappeared silently into space.
As they neared the atmosphere, the jets slowed. The Treasure Seeking Beast's illusion perfectly masked their presence. As the jets grew lighter, they entered the atmosphere and, through the air exchange systems, once again felt the life force of Celestial Dragon Planet.
Lan Xuanyu piloted his jet, flying in the direction of Fenglong City.
This time, he was especially cautious. The Treasure Seeking Beast spared no effort in maintaining the illusion, protecting them at all costs.
By now, the powerful beings of Celestial Dragon Planet had likely returned—including Super Dod-level entities. According to the Academy’s intelligence, there were at least such beings in the Dragon Horse Galaxy—a terrifying number. No one knew how many resided on Dragon or Celestial Steed Planet, but given the life force of those planets, they were clearly home to such powerhouses.
So caution was absolutely necessary. As long as they weren’t extremely unlucky and happened to run into one of them, these top-tier beings wouldn’t be casually scanning space with their divine senses.
