The seven fighter jets transformed back into mechas and landed in a forest on the outskirts of Fenglong City. The seven of them retracted their mechas and didn’t act immediately. Instead, they rested for an hour—mainly to ensure that they hadn’t been discovered during the infiltration process.
As it turned out, everything had gone smoothly. The Treasure Seeking Beast’s illusion abilities were indeed formidable.
After an hour of rest, the seven were fully recharged. Lan Xuanyu had the other six split to scout the area. Only after confirming that there were no intelligent life forms nearby did he raise his hand and use his spiritual power to activate the Ring of Fate.
With a flash of light, Elder Shu appeared first beside Lan Xuanyu.
“Whew—” Elder Shu let out a long breath, then looked around in amazement. “Such abundant life energy.”
He turned to Lan Xuanyu. “We’ve arrived?”
“Yeah,” Lan Xuanyu nodded. “We’re currently in a forest outside Fenglong City.”
Elder Shu crouched down, picked up a handful of soil, and thin vines—like tendrils—extended from his hands into the earth. A moment later, the astonishment in his eyes gave way to excitement.
He turned to Lan Xuanyu and nodded firmly. “You were right. The level of life here is truly different. While it can’t compare to Eternal Sky City, the overall vitality of this planet is incredibly high. It’s a massive treasure trove!”
Lan Xuanyu said, “My only concern is that we’re from Douluo Star. Our life signatures are different from the beings here. That might make us detectable by the planet’s Life Essence. Life characteristics can’t be concealed.”
Elder Shu smiled slightly. “That’s not something you need to worry about. I’ve served the Eternal Tree for many years and studied planetary Life Essences quite extensively. It’s true that a planet’s Life Essence may possess its own consciousness—an advanced one at that—but it doesn’t use that intelligence to constantly probe its surroundings. As one of the most powerful lifeforms in the universe, it spends most of its time in slumber, quietly absorbing the universe’s energy. Unless threatened, it almost never awakens.
“For Celestial Dragon Planet to have super-god-level beings proves how high its life level is. From its life characteristics, I can tell its Life Essence must be in a deeper sleep. Unless it’s evolving or facing planetary destruction, it won’t awaken, much less scan its surroundings. To it, we’re nothing but dust in the cosmos. Would you bother inspecting every speck of dust that lands on you?
“So don’t worry about the Life Essence. Unless we become a threat to the planet’s survival, it won’t target us.
“Besides, life energy is the most fundamental energy in the universe, born from destruction when the cosmos was first formed. All life energy shares a common essence—it’s the most original form of power. Different planets’ lifeforms just use different methods to harness it. There’s no such thing as life energy being fundamentally incompatible. This place is truly ideal. We can absorb life energy freely and even explore its nature.
“Xuanyu, later use the Ring of Fate to leave a life imprint on each of us. Then we’ll spread out. With those imprints, you’ll be able to reach us at any time. If you need help, you can find us quickly. From now on, we’re part of this planet. When you’re ready to leave, just call us together again.”
“Alright.” Lan Xuanyu nodded, then began releasing the other plant-type elders from the Ring of Fate.
Their reactions mirrored Elder Shu’s—initial amazement quickly turned into admiration. Judging by their eager expressions, they were very pleased with the environment.
Under Elder Shu’s guidance, Lan Xuanyu placed a life imprint on each plant-type elder via the Ring of Fate. Once imprinted, he could feel each individual life signature within the ring. Through these imprints, his spiritual power could link with theirs, enabling direct communication.
“Everyone, I’ll be staying here first. Haha!” Elder Shu laughed heartily and walked to a clearing in the woods. Roots extended from his body into the ground, and his form swelled.
In no time, he had transformed into a towering tree, lush and full of vitality.
“Xuanyu, I’ll merge my aura with that of the planet. The only difference is that my roots go deeper than most plants.” That was why, even as a divine-level being, he wasn’t too concerned about being discovered.
The other dozens of plant-type elders had already been impatient. After bidding Lan Xuanyu farewell, they scattered.
Each plant had its own traits and preferred environment. They would find the most suitable places to settle and cultivate.
Once they were all gone, Lan Xuanyu silently sensed their life imprints to confirm that all connections were intact. He could now communicate with any of them and track their cultivation progress.
The first step of infiltration was complete.
If their cultivation on Celestial Dragon Planet proved fruitful and they could bring life energy back to the Eternal Tree, the next time, the entire force of ten-thousand-year plant-type soul beasts from the Immortal Spirit Land might come along.
“Little Trea, do your thing.” Except for Bai Xiuxiu, the other six were quickly transformed into Blue Sea clan members by the Treasure Seeking Beast. Lan Xuanyu then took out local clothing they had previously purchased in Fenglong City and changed into them, perfectly blending in as Celestial Dragon Planet residents.
The seven set out, with Bai Xiuxiu in the lead, heading toward Fenglong City.
“Should I contact Huang Yuanlang now?” Bai Xiuxiu asked Lan Xuanyu.
Lan Xuanyu nodded. “Go ahead. See what he says.”
Bai Xiuxiu gave a nod, took out the communicator Huang Yuanlang had given her, and made the call.
It didn’t take long for the call to connect.
“Xiuxiu?” Huang Yuanlang’s voice rang out with surprise and delight.
“You finally contacted me! I thought you disappeared or something. You left without a trace!”
Bai Xiuxiu replied coldly, “Didn’t you also leave in a hurry last time? Who knew what you were up to? I went back to pack my things. The Blue Sea clan’s area doesn’t have good signal, you know that.”
“Oh, right, they live mostly underwater. Communication must be difficult.” Huang Yuanlang seemed to understand.
Bai Xiuxiu stuck out her tongue at Lan Xuanyu. In truth, she had just made that up—they had no idea what the Blue Sea clan’s signal was like. But every planet has areas with poor signal, so it was a safe excuse.
“Dear Xiuxiu, where are you now?” Huang Yuanlang asked.
“Almost at Fenglong City,” she replied.
“Excellent. I’ve already arranged your residence. I’ll send the location to your communicator. Come straight there when you enter the city, and I’ll personally welcome you.”
“Alright,” Bai Xiuxiu replied simply.
After ending the call, she looked at Lan Xuanyu, who narrowed his eyes slightly. “Judging from his tone, he doesn’t seem to suspect your identity. He definitely checked on the Blue Sea clan but wouldn’t have found anything. If he asks, just say you always maintained your appearance as a Blue Sea person. Naturally, no one would know who you really are.”
