Dragon of Catastrophe
Chapter 47 - 45: Humans Watching Elf Dance
CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 45: HUMANS WATCHING ELF DANCE
How long would it take a regular appraiser to calculate the prices of these goods? A whole day at least?
However, the Giant Dragon just glanced at them for a moment...
It’s astounding!
If I had this kind of ability, it would be wonderful!
This flattering remark made Land feel quite pleased, with a hint of pride on his face.
But soon, the fat man said,
"Your Highness the Giant Dragon, you’re absolutely right, but I can tell you! These goods, I originally intended to sell them to someone else for 500 Gold Talers?"
"500 Gold Talers??"
Land’s eyes sparkled, and he almost drooled.
"Indeed! To be honest, Your Highness the Giant Dragon, this batch of goods is actually urgently needed by the Viscount of Ireland from the Laine Kingdom!
As long as you agree, I can continue to escort this batch over, and by then, you’ll receive 500 Gold Talers!"
Grehorsyn said softly, his words extremely tempting to Land.
Land pondered for a moment, his gaze flickering before he finally spoke,
"Good! Good! Your words have moved me, so I shall grant you the privilege to live on as my slave!"
Land was delighted and then turned his gaze to the other guards still playing dead, wanting to stomp a few for fun.
"No! We don’t want to die! Spare us, Your Highness the Giant Dragon! Lord Grehorsyn, save us!!" The few realized something was wrong and immediately stopped pretending, crying out.
"Your Highness the Giant Dragon! Please, spare them too! Although their abilities are weak, they might still be somewhat useful; they could assist me in trading or lend a hand under your service!
Have you heard a saying among our merchants? Even the most worthless trash has its value!
Even a small Goblin or a Goblin!
If you find the right method, you can extract their inherent value."
Grehorsyn quickly spoke up on behalf of his men.
It’s not that he was particularly kind or cared for his subordinates, he just felt that if he were to follow this Giant Dragon in the future, he should at least have some comrades.
It’s said that every Giant Dragon has its evil minions.
If he were alone, he might not die at the Dragon’s Claw but at the hands of the Dragon’s minions later, which would make people laugh their heads off!
"Yes! Spare us, Your Highness the Giant Dragon! As long as we’re alive, we’ll be willing to do anything for you!" The human guards knelt down, swearing their loyalty.
Land wasn’t actually impressed by these human guards; in his eyes, their existence value was probably not much higher than if they were dead.
Speaking of which, his [Killing Enemies] II, he didn’t know when it could be unlocked.
But he let it go, glancing at Grehorsyn, letting them be companions for now.
Just as he was about to agree, he suddenly sensed commotion in the distance and immediately turned to look.
In the distance, a large group of Half-Beastmen and Elves rushed over.
Several Half-Beastmen still had blood and scraps of flesh on their weapons, clearly having just killed some unlucky ones who managed to flee!
Without hesitation, Land flapped his Dragon Wings and soared directly, landing in front of these Half-Beastmen and Elves, growling lowly.
"You all guard the goods for me and put out the fire!
And those humans near the goods, don’t kill them, keep them for me.
They still have some use, understand?"
The Elves and Half-Beastmen immediately responded.
Land then flapped his wings again, flying into the high sky.
At an altitude of a thousand meters, like an eagle, he used his Dragon’s Eye to survey the ground for tens of kilometers, swooping down whenever he spotted an escapee to unleash a Dragon Meteor!
With terrifying tremors and roars, batch after batch of people had their bones shattered, their viscera crushed, dying tragically.
But even this couldn’t satisfy Land!
Because the Dwarf who set the fire to destroy his treasure was still missing!
This little bug just dared to "play" with him a bit, making a deep impression on Land, and now, he particularly wanted to stomp it!
Watching this particular bug wail and despair before him.
Flying another dozen kilometers and circling around but still not finding it, Land was a bit frustrated but returned.
Then he escorted the goods and Grehorsyn, together with several guards, back to the forest.
Though he was eager for Grehorsyn to deliver the goods early, exchanging for 500 Gold Talers.
But this guy’s legs were broken and needed some healing.
Of course, among his men were Nature Elves, and although these guys lacked combat strength, they knew some Healing Skills. It shouldn’t be long before these people could set off again, bringing back the eagerly awaited Talers.
But for now, what Land needed most was to sleep!
Just lying on the ground, within a quarter of an hour, he fell into a dream, but after waking up the next day, Land’s Dragon face was filled with dissatisfaction!
His face covered with frost, making a group of slaves tremble in fear.
Do you know why?
Simply because this loot failed to unlock the [Wealth] II achievement for him, giving him the Potential Points he had anticipated.
The enemies killed were the same; was all this for nothing?
Land felt frustrated, but still consoled himself.
Next time, unlocking [Wealth] II and [Killing Enemies] II shouldn’t be far off.
"Elves! Elves! Come to me! Play music and dance!"
To dispel this frustration, Land immediately roared.
A group of Elves hurried over, some playing music, others dancing.
As the explosive music started, these Elves in specially made short skirts, baring their long white legs, began to dance.
These dance moves, unlike anything else in the world.
Amazed Gandalf and the few human guards recovering not far away, their eyes widened, mouths open watching everything, just feeling that this dance was beautiful!
They seemed like country bumpkins with no knowledge, constantly swallowing their saliva.
The only thing in their minds was whether to lie on the ground and slowly move closer! Perhaps then they would see...
Wow!!
That Elf is looking over! Her gaze is so charming! So gentle! Is she interested in me?
Grehorsyn and a few attendants couldn’t help but let their thoughts wander.
On one side, Land noticed the anomaly and turned to glance.
Good heavens!
These fellows, their eyes bloodshot, bending over.
"Is it nice?" Land suddenly asked in a low voice.
"Yes...yes..." The few instinctively responded, but the next moment, as if realizing something, they shivered all over, looking in shock at Land not far away.
"Your Highness the Giant Dragon...we...we...didn’t mean it that way..." Grehorsyn stammered, not knowing what to say.
