CHAPTER 511: 203 ALL-AROUND GENIUS

"An’an, don’t change the subject. Confess honestly."

The water bottle was raised to her lips, then stopped abruptly.

Shen You’an set the bottle down and said with a smile, "You all really have sharp eyes."

She screwed the cap back on and returned the bottle to the dining table.

In the shadows, a pair of eyes fixated on Shen You’an’s every move. Seeing her put the water bottle back, their brows furrowed deeply.

Gao Yuyue didn’t expect Shen You’an to reply so straightforwardly. "Wow, sneaking off to a date behind our backs? Are you even still our good sister?"

Shen You’an spread her palm open. "One pack of spicy strips—remember, the Weilong brand."

Gao Yuyue slapped Shen You’an’s palm. "Do you think we’re little kids or something?"

"Do you really think that, between men and women, there’s no other relationship besides dating?"

Gao Yuyue scoffed lightly. "Just because you have no feelings for him doesn’t mean he feels the same about you."

"An’an." Yan Lu squeezed past Gao Yuyue and leaned eagerly toward Shen You’an. "Do you really know Jiang Han?"

Shen You’an met Yan Lu’s eyes and said, "We’re friends."

"That’s amazing!" Yan Lu’s face lit up with excitement.

"An’an, my dear An’an, next time you meet Jiang Han, can you bring me along? I’ll treat!"

Shen You’an curled her lips into a faint smile and softly said, "Sure."

Gao Yuyue grew curious. "How do you know Jiang Han?"

Earlier, she had searched on her phone and found out Jiang Han was a native of Chunzhou, while An’an had grown up in Qingzhou. The two didn’t seem to have any connection at all.

"This is An’an’s private matter; we shouldn’t pry."

Though Yan Lu was curious, she wasn’t the type to dig relentlessly. Everyone had their secrets, after all.

Shen You’an thought for a moment, then said to Yan Lu, "During New Year’s, Jiang Han is holding his first-ever solo album signing event."

Yan Lu was stunned. "Why didn’t I know about this?"

There hadn’t been a single whisper of this online.

"The official announcement will come in the next couple of days."

Yan Lu perked up. "I must get selected!"

Typically, fans for the signing event were chosen via serial numbers on purchase receipts from official album buyers. Yan Lu had been quick to grab an original copy.

Shen You’an smiled slightly. "Remember to send me your receipt."

"An’an, you’re the best," Yan Lu gushed, hugging Shen You’an’s arm playfully.

The group continued chatting and laughing, finishing their meal slowly and leisurely.

Having taken their exams that morning, everyone was quite exhausted. After eating, they all returned to their rooms to rest.

Before leaving, Shen You’an took the opened bottle of water—though she hadn’t drank a single sip—with her.

"Manager Li, what are you doing here? Director Cui is looking for you."

Li Zonghong’s expression stiffened slightly. He cleared his throat. "Got it. You go ahead with your work."

As soon as Li Zonghong saw the group enter the elevator—Shen You’an being the last to step inside—he quickly hid behind the door just as she turned around.

Little did he know, this scene had been entirely captured by a pair of shrewd, almond-shaped eyes.

Back in their room, Gao Yuyue wasted no time throwing herself onto the soft bed. "Finally free."

She wasn’t confident she’d make it into the training camp this time. The exam questions were simply too hard.

She quietly observed Shen You’an. Most thought An’an excelled at math, but very few knew her true strength lay in physics.

"An’an, what are you doing?"

She watched as Shen You’an scanned the room upon entering. Her gaze eventually landed on the countertop, where a box of vitamin C effervescent tablets sat.

She walked over, picked up the box, shook out one tablet, and dropped it into an empty glass filled with water.

The unreacted substances in the effervescent tablet caused an acid-base reaction, producing copious bubbles that tumbled wildly in the glass like a raging storm.

Gao Yuyue felt puzzled. Wasn’t An’an not a fan of vitamin C? She had mentioned finding it too sour.

Shen You’an silently watched the reaction until the bubbling ceased, and the water surface returned to calm.

She carried the glass out onto the balcony. In a corner stood a vibrant, flourishing potted plant, basking in the sunlight.

Shen You’an poured the contents onto the potted plant and waited silently.

Gao Yuyue was completely baffled.

Feeling certain An’an must have her reasons, she slipped on her slippers and followed her onto the balcony.

"An’an, are you doing some kind of experiment...?"

Before she could finish her sentence, she suddenly gasped and covered her mouth.

The once-lush plant began to wither and decay at an alarming rate, visible to the naked eye.

"It’s poisonous. This water is poisonous!"

Gao Yuyue screamed in disbelief.

Shen You’an remained unnervingly calm, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Just as I thought."

"An’an, how can you still smile? It’s poison!"

She rushed back into the room, grabbed the bottle of mineral water Shen You’an had taken from the dining hall, and sniffed it carefully near her nose.
