Dominic looked over with concern. He asked, "Are you sure you''re alright to go? Don''t push yourself."

Vespera nodded and replied, "I''m fine. I''m not pushing myself."

Dominic smiled with amusement and said, "If you say so. Let''s go then."

The two made their way downstairs. Once they got into the car, Vespera turned to Dominic to get her phone back. She said, "I need to give Calvert a call. He''s probably already there waiting for me."

Instead of giving Vespera the phone, Dominic leaned over and buckled her seatbelt. Then, he pinched her cheek and responded, "Take a nap. I''ll give him a call."

Vespera was at a loss for words.

On the way to the mall, she kept trying toe up with ast-minute strategy to wipe the footage under both Dominic''s and Calvert''s noses. It was impossible unless the two suddenly lost their ability to see. There was no hope.

With only five minutes to go before they reached the mall, Vespera started mentally preparing herself to confess.

Dominic sneaked a nce at Vespera. She lookedpletely out of it, staring nkly like she had just lost her soul. As he looked at her, his gaze darkened.

When Vespera gave Calvert a call moments ago, she had arranged for him to wait in the underground parking lot. Initially, her n was to sneak into the surveince room and delete the surveince footage first, even if she needed to spend some money, before calling Calvert over.

Now that Dominic was around as well, Vespera couldn''t carry out the n.

In the parking lot, Calvert was leaning against his car door, scrolling through his phone. He seemed rxed, like he didn''t take this task seriously. When he saw Dominic and Vespera, he put away his phone and greeted, "Mr. Reid, Vespera."

It was just deleting some security footage. Why couldn''t he go alone? Why did he have to wait for them? If they had just let him handle it alone, he would have been done by now and on his way home.

Vespera, still tangled in her thoughts, made ast-ditch attempt. She asked, "Hey, why don''t we split up to look for the surveince room? This mall is massive, and we don''t even know exactly where the cameras are."

Calvert replied, "I already got the floor n. The main surveince cameras we need to deal with are in the jewelry store on the fifth floor."

Vespera was rendered speechless again. Why was Calvert sopetent?

Noticing Vespera''s stiff expression, Dominic gave her a chance to confess. He said, "Vera, something isn''t right with you. Is there something you want to say?"

Vespera considered it for a moment. Then, she decided not to confess. Instead, she responded, "Aren''t we here to wipe the footage? Let''s get to it."

Dominic would find out soon enough. Whether Vespera confessed or not, once he saw that video, the truth would be right there.

The three headed upstairs. Dominic didn''t enter the jewelry store. He let Calvert handle it. Beforeing, Natasha had already given the store a call, informing the store that someone would be stopping by to review the surveince footage.  s

Dominic instructed Calvert to copy the entire footage from 6:00 pm and delete it afterward. If people asked questions, they would just say that there was a system error and that they would cover any losses.  s
