In the corridor, Raymond emerged from another room and walked over. He asked while giving a hint with his gaze, "Mr. Reid, are you hungry? I can whip up ate- night snack."

Dominic headed back into the living area.

"Mr. Reid, I really think Ms. Gildon has her heart set on the Reid family," said Raymond, appearing with a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

Dominic asked, "What makes you say that?"

"She acted like she was only worried about Mr. Harry, but she''s clearly using that as an excuse to understand more about the family. That tells me she''s serious about considering a future here. But ever since Mrs. Reid made her stance clear, and with the whole situation involving Ms. Acosta, she''s been trying not to look too eager."

Dominic frowned, looking skeptical. He said, "She isn''t the type to y those kinds of games."

Raymond chuckled and replied, "Mr. Reid, women''s hearts are a maze."

Raymond''s words made Dominic think about what Vespera said earlier. Dominic asked, "So, what you''re saying is that even though she said no, she actually wants to say yes? How should I convince her then?"

"If you already know how she feels, there''s no need to force it. Just invite your parents to meet at a restaurant and bring Ms. Gildon along. This way, she''ll end up meeting them," suggested Raymond.

Dominic said nothing, but his gaze sharpened as he considered the suggestion. He tapped his fingers on the table with a stable and slow rhythm.

Meanwhile, Vespera, unaware that her words had just been wildly misinterpreted, was thinking about the chilling possibility that someone out there was following her.

Should she tell Dominic the truth? She was in a dilemma, picking between her safety and meeting Fawn, but her safety seemed to be more important.

...

Once again, Vespera barely slept. But since she stayed in the penthouse, it calmed her nerves a little. As the morning sunlight shone, she washed up and got dressed before stepping out of the room.

When Vespera arrived at the dining area, she realized that Gerard and Calvert were around. They were ying with Snowball while Raymond was setting out breakfast.

Vespera greeted them. At this point, she was thick-skinned enough not to feel awkward anymore. She asked, "Is Mr. Reid not up yet?"

"Not yet. Gerard, how about you go and wake him?" Raymond deliberately asked.

Gerard shouted, "Are you kidding? That''s a death wish. Vespera, this task is clearly for you."

Vespera replied, "Alright. I''ll go."

Vespera made her way to the

Just as Vespera was about to close the door and return to the dining area, the door swung all the way open.

Initially, Dominic was heading for the walk-in closet, but when he saw Vespera halfway through the door, he turned and walked straight toward her.

Vespera felt awkward that she was caught. Seeing that Dominic wasfnfa7f Follow current nov?ls on F?ndNovel/fnfa7f

Dominic walked over and pulled Vespera into the room. He said, "You came to see me first thing in the morning. Are you here to help me pick out what to wear?"

Vespera responded, "I came to wake you up. That''s it."

But Dominic was already dragging her toward the walk-in closet. He said, "Since you''re already here, might as well help."

Help? What was there to help with?

Vespera didn''t want to stay here for too long. If she spent hours waking Dominic up, she would be too embarrassed to see anyone else.

Once Vespera stepped into the

walk-in closet, she grabbed the first outfit she saw and shoved it at -Dominic. Anyway, he looked good, anything. She said, "This one."  s

Looking unimpressed, Dominic responded, "Vera, that''s so half-hearted."

"It''s not. This one looks the best. Hurry up and change. I''ll wait outside," said Vespera as she turned to leave.

Before Vespera could take a step, Dominic pulled her back. His breath brushed her ear as he whispered, "Help me get dressed."
