Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos
Chapter 241: Carry Me
CHAPTER 241: CARRY ME
The only thing a little disheartening was that he couldn’t collect the spirit rings from these corpses. They all must have gone through a few ruins. Wait a second, he could use someone else for it. After thinking he willed the saber and moved it towards one of the cultivators nearby.
This movement of the saber towards a cultivator who wasn’t part of either of these sects made everyone tremble.
Everyone’s mind got filled with the worst possible situation of them being targeted too while the cultivator towards whom the saber went kneeled in horror. His eyes were filled with tears.
Even though the saber was coming towards him far slower than before so that he could see it clearly and even dodge it, he didn’t move. When the cultivator thought that the saber would pierce him he closed his eyes instinctively waiting for the imminent... nothing happened.
He opened his eyes slowly and saw that the saber was drawing some characters on the ground.
"Take out the storage rings of everyone dead here... or lose your life. You have thirty minutes to do so."
Lin Feng didn’t care about wasting thirty minutes here since he wouldn’t let others climb too. If mid-stage cultivators were able to reach the top of the mountain in three hours then he wouldn’t even take one hour to do so. Similarly Lian Zhi and Pei Lingxi wouldn’t take much time either with their cultivation realm.
As for Bai Lian, any one of them could carry her. There was no rule about not helping others.
The cultivator watched the words and gulped. He didn’t know if he should sigh in relief that he was spared or wail in despair since he was still threatened with death.
He immediately stood up and ran towards the nearest corpse which was of Yun Zhihao. Although there were a lot of corpses, thirty minutes would be enough for him to collect everything.
When others saw this they sighed in relief. This meant they were not being targeted. Now there was one question in everyone’s mind... could they climb now?
The main ruin contained grade 7, 8 and 9 treasures and these things were extremely enticing for them. Even if their sect and clans took those treasures, they would still get immense benefits for bringing them.
Their question was answered when the saber moved and in an instant began floating between the cultivators and the steps. They immediately understood that no one was allowed to move.
They all cursed inwardly but maintained their sad and nonchalant expressions or who knew if their expression triggered this devil.
The cultivator collected all the storage rings in about fifteen minutes and Lin Feng told him through the saber to start climbing the steps while holding all the rings.
The cultivator didn’t hesitate and ran towards the steps. He was the first person to go on the steps. When he climbed the first step his expression changed drastically. He could feel immense pressure on his whole being.
It was so much that he could only climb slowly one step at a time. He sighed and started climbing. Seeing his speed made others understand why three hours were given to climb only a thousand steps.
Lin Feng wasn’t much surprised looking at the pace of the cultivator and waited for him to climb a little further. The clouds seemed to start from five hundred steps onwards, so once the cultivator reached two hundred steps they could move. It would give enough time to do what he wanted to do.
Others were looking at the climbing cultivator in envy. Maybe he would enter the main ruin too.
They also wanted to go but the saber was still hanging there to send them to heaven instead of the main ruin.
After forty minutes the cultivator finally reached the two hundredth step. It was expected that with his strength he wouldn’t be able to climb the steps even if he was given three hours. As you went up you would get more tired too after all.
Lin Feng decided it was enough. He moved the saber away and let it fall on the pathway. This surprised others. Were they allowed to move now? Would it even matter now?
If what they had seen was true then they doubted they could reach the top in time now. The only option left for them was to eliminate ten cultivators but the one-hour restriction to stay on the pathway was already over. So would those who already knew they were weak and couldn’t even climb the mountain stay? Seeing all those corpses was enough to break the greed of even stronger ones, much less those who were still trembling inside.
Indeed when the saber fell down most cultivators immediately jumped out of the pathway back to the safe zone. They had already been planning to do so.
Most of the remaining Yin Yang Harmony and Crimson Flame Palace disciples also left. Only a few daring ones stayed.
Those who left on the pathway looked at the saber one last time before walking towards the steps. They sighed when the saber didn’t fly up again.
Lin Feng caught the shoulders of Pei Lingxi. "Carry me, at least till the layer of clouds."
Pei Lingxi nodded. She understood that he still wanted to look weak so no one could even associate him with the person controlling the saber.
Seeing this Bai Lian hugged the arm of Lian Zhi without saying anything. Lian Zhi looked at her and smiled. "You are so heavy sister Bai." Her voice was low. All these deaths might not have affected her deeply but she couldn’t become immune to it so early.
Bai Lian was at a loss for words hearing that. No doubt her figure was more prominent than both Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi but that wasn’t fat.
Pei Lingxi caught Lin Feng by the waist and sped up towards the steps. Lian Zhi did the same. When they started climbing most cultivators sighed in envy.
