CHAPTER 243: GRADE 8 CHAMBER

They entered the teleportation array together.

"Activate the array," Lin Feng said and they vanished.

When they were able to see again, they were standing on a stone slab that was far bigger than the slabs of the normal ruins. There was a golden lion sleeping in the middle of the slab and far behind it a sword was placed on a jade stand.

It was only grade 5. It seemed the deeper you went the better the treasure would be.

Lin Feng created a small yang orb and controlled it with his own spiritual sense and sent it towards the lion.

The lion woke up but it didn’t even get a chance to turn its head before the orb exploded.

The lion disappeared without leaving any ashes and Lin Feng walked towards the sword.

Bai Lian shook her head. She always got terrified by how strong he was.

Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi similarly shook their heads. They were just here to follow. They doubted they would need to do anything.

Lin Feng picked the sword and put it in his storage ring. After collecting everything he would give them some treasures but most of it he would take with him.

As for grade 9 treasures, he wouldn’t give those away. In the end he wasn’t obliged to give them anything in the first place. Not to mention Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi wouldn’t be able to keep them while Bai Lian was someone who definitely didn’t lack them.

The beast guarding it was similarly mid-stage but unlike the other beasts it was already awake. Well, that didn’t change anything. The speed of the yang orb was as fast as a peak-stage grade 4 beast so avoiding it was impossible, not to mention Lin Feng was controlling it with his own spiritual sense.

The stone slab on which they were standing was very small compared to the previous ones. There were two teleportation arrays beside an information pillar erected exactly in the middle of the slab.

It must be the chamber where they had to make the choice to take the test or not. Given the pattern, there must be a total of five grade 8 treasures in this main ruin and possibly two or three grade 9 treasures.

Giving up here meant losing the chance to get their hands on those treasures and their value was unimaginable in this world.

The danger level of these chambers would be significantly higher to give the choice to bypass them when the senior of this inheritance site wasn’t against creating situations where multiple lives were lost.

They came near the pillar and read the information.

"Left teleportation array to enter directly into the main chamber. Right teleportation array to enter the chamber containing the test for a grade 8 treasure.

The tests are far different from the rest of the tests. It will be better to have more cultivators before entering one as it wouldn’t be a normal stone slab but an area where the beast would have an inherent advantage.

After every test you will be given the choice to leave using the left teleportation array. So if you are confident in handling only one chamber, even then you can proceed without worries."

Lin Feng didn’t think even for a moment before going towards the right. How comfortable the beast was in its environment didn’t matter when all he had to do was increase the power of his yang sphere.

If he destroyed the whole arena would it even matter what advantage the beast had. These tests were still made in consideration of mid-stage Soul Sea Realm cultivators.

If the test only affected the number of cultivators required to successfully pass then it wasn’t a problem for him.

The others followed him and they got teleported to their first test for a grade 8 treasure or resource.

When they arrived Bai Lian, Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi were surprised. They were standing inside a forest and it extended as far as they could see. Only Lin Feng knew that it was just an illusion. He couldn’t see through it either. It was quite a high-grade illusion.

They couldn’t see the beast with their eyes but there was no need to do so when they had spiritual sense.

Although the beast was just an array, it was still made from highly concentrated spirit qi manipulated by the array, so they could easily discern it.

"It’s on that tree..." Lian Zhi spoke. The others had also seen it so they already knew.

Lin Feng had already created a yang orb which was three times larger than the previous ones. He attacked nonchalantly and when the orb neared the tree he detonated it himself.
