Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos
Chapter 32: Absolute Precision
CHAPTER 32: ABSOLUTE PRECISION
Duels will be held by realm, first will be Qi Refinement Realm, then Foundation Establishment Realm and so on.
The winners will be chosen by realms too, not sub-stages, so it was given that those who are at the peak of their realm will have advantages and can easily win over weaker stage disciples.
Well nothing is fair in the cultivation world, luck is part of the journey.
"Start" Mo Yan said and stepped away from the arena, she was here to keep an eye on fairness.
The two disciples looked at each other, one had a sword in her hand while the other was holding a slender spear.
The disciple with the sword dashed and closed their distance.
Lin Feng shook his head, the dash was too blunt and open against a spear user, who had advantage in range. He could also see that the spear user had seen through, she was not bad.
And as expected, the spear holding disciple stepped back and put the spear pointing toward the incoming disciple, in front of her chest.
The dashing disciple faltered and wanted to side step to dodge the spear, but the spear extended and pierced her shoulder.
"Angghhh..." The sword left the disciple’s hand and she immediately backed off.
Injuries which can be treated are totally allowed, even bone breaking injuries can be healed easily with vitality pills, the only thing which is not allowed is fatal injuries.
"That is it, stop now" Mo Yan stepped in and declared the spear holder the winner and called the next names.
"Lin Feng from Treasure Peak, Early stage and Han Yue from Mission Peak, Mid stage"
Lin Feng was not surprised, their sect did not recruit many disciples as not everyone could give up their normal lives, so most of the new disciples were already three or four months old and were at the peak of Qi Refinement or above.
He went to the stage and stood up, his opponent was already there, she had short hair and looked a little chubby.
Lin Feng felt the sensation of everyone watching him, and it was the truth as it was also related to his battle sense. Battle sense not only is related to read the flow of battle but also pointing out hidden dangers, its basically like instinct.
This was the first time he was going to fight a duel in the sect. Many people might be interested in seeing his performance.
He wanted to talk with his senior sister but decided against it, as it would have created unwanted rumours. He would not care about it as reputation did not matter to him but he had to think of his senior sister.
Lin Feng looked at his opponent, she was also a sword user, most cultivators picked the sword as their weapon, specifically women, that was why the sword was known as the king of weapons.
He was sure that he was never a weapon user, it was an inner feeling. Fighting bare-handed made him feel natural. Although he did have a good sword in his ring which his aunt had gifted him.
"Start" Mo Yan said and stepped away.
Most people were already thinking that Lin Feng would lose, it was said that he was injured and was not able to cultivate for a year, now even if he did, his cultivation technique would not be better than their sect’s main cultivation technique.
Not to mention he was at the early stage while his opponent was at the mid stage.
The only people who thought otherwise were his master and aunts.
Han Yue smiled, "Nice to meet you brother Lin, forgive me but I will not show mercy"
Lin Feng smiled back, "Do not worry sister Han, I will be able to survive, please do not hold back"
"Good, here I come" Han Yue spoke and dashed in his direction.
Lin Feng did not move and looked at her approach calmly. He did not even move when she came close enough to attack with her sword.
Han Yue was surprised, she even thought that Lin Feng had turned cold feet. Looks like their chief disciple was a weakling by heart, he should have tried at least.
Han Yue did not stop and slashed toward his shoulder. She would give him a light wound, which would not be too painful.
Just as the sword was about to touch and Han Yue was totally relaxed, thinking it was the end, Lin Feng side-stepped, his actions were slow but the timing was so perfect the sword was only able to graze his robes, so faint that it didn’t even left any trace
His hand shot toward the neck of Han Yue, with two fingers working as a sword. Han Yue was not even able to react before the two fingers touched her neck, drawing a little blood.
Han Yue gulped in fear while the onlookers were stunned, Mo Yan herself was stunned.
Li Xiang’s and Zhan Tian’s eyes widened, even Xuan Xue and others were surprised, not because they did not know his strength but because of his precision.
"That was on purpose" Li Xiang spoke.
What Lin Feng had done was almost impossible to pull off, he had not only dodged the attack but done it so finely that it was utterly impossible, it was like he could see and understand the trajectory of the move perfectly.
The reason it was impossible was because he was only at the early stage and his opponent was at the mid stage. Unless Lin Feng was utterly stronger than his opponent, it was impossible to execute this move.
Mo Yan came to her senses and spoke hurriedly, "Lin Feng wins"
Lin Feng gave a small bow to Han Yue, "You went easy on me sister Yue, I told you that you should not have held back"
Han Yue was still in disbelief, hearing his words she became speechless.
Lin Feng started walking back to his original location. When he came close enough Li Xiang spoke, "How did you do that"
Before Lin Feng could respond, Xuan Xue spoke, " You have no right to ask that".
Lin Feng was not going to tell senior Li Xiang anyway, if he wanted he could have dodged the attack the moment Han Yue’s hand twitched for the strike. Battle sense was not just about dodging but predicting the attack itself before it was even launched.
Lin Feng went back to his master and watched the next match, first all the Qi Refinement matches would take place and when the winner was decided then the Foundation Establishment Realm matches would be held.
Maybe Zhan Tian’s disciple would challenge the winner of the Qi Refinement Realm after the Qi Refinement matches. Well Lin Feng was pretty sure it would be him whom they would challenge.
He would not mind some good treasures.
