But when she leftter, a few thugs in the alley set their sights on her.

Megan shouted, “You dare mess with me? Do byou /breally think I’m that easy to pick bon/bb?/bb” /b

She was drunk, her head foggy, and charged straight at them, fists flying.

But at the end of the day, she was still a woman, and the difference in strength between men and women

quickly showed.

Leon happened to see it and rushed over with a few of his guys, beating the thugs back.

b“/bYou alright?” he asked gentlyb, /bsteadying her on her feet.

Megan’s drunken haze lifted a little, though her head still spun when she saw him.

b“/bYou… aren’t you that guy from the bar just now?” she asked, pointing at him.

“That’s me,” Leon said with a grin. “Didn’t think you were drunk enough to still remember me.”

“Don’t talk nonsense. I’m not drunk at all.” Megan waved him off, refusing to admit it.

Leon didn’t believe her, but seeing how insistent she was, he let go and watched her take a few steps.

She stumbled almost immediately and was about to fall when Leon caught her again.

“Enough, don’t push yourself. Where’s your home? I’ll take you back.”

“My home?” Megan waved her hand. “I can’t just tell you that. My parents told me not to.”

Leon rubbed his forehead helplessly. No matter how he asked, Megan refused to give him her address.

In the end, he sent his men away and checked her into a hotel.

Not trusting her to be left alone, he stayed to keep an eye on her, sleeping upright on the sofa.

And sure enough, his instincts were right–she was restless all night.

Not only did she throw up all over the bed, but the floor as well.

Leon began to regret it. Why had he gotten himself into this messb? /b

Not only was her character fiery, but her drinking tolerance was terrible too.

When Megan finally finished making a mess, she copsed on the sofa and fell asleep.

Helpless, Leon called the staff bup /bto change the bed sheets, then carried her over andid her down.

In the end, he curled bup /balone on the sofa.

The next morning, Megan woke and saw the man on the sofa. Memories ofst night came flooding back.

She didn’tsh out at him blindly. Instead, she felt a flicker of surprise.

This man wasn’t at all like the impression she had of him when they first met.

He had actually been decent enough to bring her to a hotel.

And he’d spent the night curled on the sofa.

Checking her clothes, she saw nothing out of ce. He hadn’t tried anything improper.

Megan stepped up to him and nudged him. “Hey, you alright?”

Leon rubbed his back as he sat up. Seeing she was awake, he gave her a crooked smile.

b“/bbYou’ve /bgot some nerve waking up like nothing happened. Look at me–covered in your puke, and the

floor too.”

“Alright, alright, I get it. I’ll pay for everything.” Megan rubbed her nose, embarrassed. She knew full well what she was like after drinking.

So, hearing him say it didn’t surprise her.

Seeing how serious she was, Leon realized she wasn’t joking.

But he couldn’t bring himself to take a woman’s money.

He said firmly, “Forget it. If you know you can’t hold your liquor, don’t drink so much outside. It’s no big deal. I just stayed to keep an eye on you–I didn’t want anything happening to you in the middle of the night.”
