And with that, this series is officially over. It started as a writathon project that I thought I'd wrap up in 100k words before returning to the tower climber that was supposed to be my next story once Keiran ended. That... uh... did not happen, obviously. In the original version, there was no plot with the parasite monsters and the story would have ended once Velik found Chalin and killed him. The reason the chapters are shorter than my normal ones is also because of writathon--55k words/35 days of writathon = 1.6k words per chapter.

So what's next? Well, thanks in part to Audible's massive delay, book 2 still hasn't gone live in that format. It's been submitted for two weeks now and they haven't approved it, so... I dunno what to tell you. That's out of our hands. Apparently, according to Royal Guard Publishing (the company that handles audio for us), Audible did not approve a single one of their titles all last week. Book 3 will release as an ebook on December 8, 2025, with audio to follow hopefully sometime in January. I'll make a post here announcing those launches when they happen.

As far as writing any sequel series set in the Duskbound universe goes, there's currently nothing on the agenda. If I were to return to this series, I'm not sure what the story would be about or even if Velik would be in it. However, now is your chance to ask any questions you might have.
