Inside the misty bathroom, Bokue leaned casually against the edge of the steaming bath.
Resting snugly against his chest was a certain short-haired former Hero girl. Her slim, pale arms—seemingly untouched by the years of battle training—were locked tightly around his neck, her chin gently settled on his shoulder as she exhaled hot, damp breaths against his skin.
Meanwhile, not far from them, Kurumi had already tapped out.
She lay sprawled over the edge of the bath like a sleepy student dozing off in class, arms crossed to form a makeshift pillow. Her flushed face peeked out from the crook of her elbows, and through the gap in her limbs, her misty golden eyes snuck glances at the couple still going at it beside her.
Of course Nee-san's the stronger one...
Kurumi sighed inwardly.
She had initially planned to hang in there a bit longer—just enough to keep a certain someone from getting smug about it—but less than thirty seconds in, her mind had already gone blank.
Rational thought snapped like a frayed wire, and everything afterward became one long, rolling tide of overwhelming sensation.
"Mmph..."
Recalling everything that had happened over the past hour, she bit her lip instinctively. And when she glanced over at Bokue, her gaze held a trace of soft resentment and emotion—warmth laced with mischief.
What a jerk. Disappears for ten whole years—no letter, no call, nothing—and the moment he's back, not only does he rope her and her sister into betraying their village, but he also... treats them like this.
Still... maybe it wasn't so bad. Maybe it was even better than life in the village.
Maybe that's why she kept dreaming about him all these years—regretting not dragging him back then, and even more so, not dragging her sister to go with them.
At least now, they had a second chance to make things right.
Kurumi gently puckered her lips, savoring the warm, full sensation bubbling in her lower belly—hotter than even the bathwater itself.
"Hmm..."
With a sultry breath brushing against his neck, Yuki stirred in Bokue's lap, still recovering from her latest climb to ecstasy. She slowly blinked open her misted eyes, her short breath brushing his skin like steam.
"Hey... Bokue, do you remember the question I asked you back then?"
A question?
He lifted his brow slightly, but of course—his memory was razor-sharp.
Back then, she had asked—
["If we ever got the chance for an arranged marriage... would you be willing to marry me?"]
"Yeah, I remember," Bokue replied calmly. "I was going to say yes."
His hands, still submerged beneath the water, gently supported her from beneath.
"It's just that—"
Just that Kurumi had interrupted before he could answer.
Given the timing, whether she had arrived a couple minutes earlier or later wouldn't have made much difference to the outcome anyway.
But that wasn't important now. No point in digging up old what-ifs.
"I see," Yuki said softly, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"To be honest, I felt the same. If you'd said yes back then, and things hadn't gone the way they did... I was ready to do it right then and there."
"...Huh?"
That threw Bokue off for a second.
What did she mean by "do it"? Like... do it do it? Either way, that was a bombshell.
They were just kids back then. Girls were early bloomers, sure—but even so, wasn't this a little too early?
Still half-stunned, Bokue glanced over at Kurumi, who'd also gone wide-eyed at her sister's words. Well, that confirmed it. Yuki was definitely the oddball here.
"And that brings me to my next question," she continued, still curled up in his lap, her face deepening in color as she subtly adjusted her position—bringing their bodies even closer.
"Bokue... who did you lose your virginity to?"
Bokue froze.
Ah, yes. Talking to women always came with landmines like this. No warning, no prep—just instant sudden-death questions.
"Answer me," she said, her abdominal muscles subtly tightening.
Bokue gave her a warning tap under the water.
"Hey now, calm down. You're still recovering from your first time. Keep clenching like that and you won't even be able to walk tomorrow."
"That's fine. I don't mind staying in bed all day," Yuki replied flatly, tilting her head like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"As long as it's with you."
"..."
"So who was it? Don't tell me it was Naruse Mio."
"...No."
"Not her? Hmm~ I thought I heard her call you Brother-in-law once. Could it have been her sister, then?"
"...Also no."
"Then who was it?"
Backed into a corner by Yuki's relentless questioning, Bokue knew there was no way she'd drop it without a real answer.
"Remember how I used to tell you about that place in Kyoto—Yasaka Shrine?"
"Yeah, I remember. You mentioned there was a little fox girl there you were close with."
Little fox girl, huh... well, technically accurate.
Yuki's brows pinched slightly.
"Wait. That girl was even younger than us. Don't tell me you—"
"Of course not."
He paused, then muttered under his breath.
"It was her mom."
"..."
The air in her lungs hitched sharply.
Two full seconds passed before she let it out with a sigh.
"Ah, I see. So it was the big fox girl."
Seriously?
Bokue groaned inwardly. That nickname was going to stick, wasn't it?
"Anyway," he said, steering the topic elsewhere, "I'll help you and Kurumi wash up. If we stay in the water any longer, we're all gonna pass out."
"Nope—not happening~!"
A familiar voice chimed in from behind, startling Bokue.
He turned his head to find Maria cheerfully marching into the steamy bathroom, guiding in a very pink-faced Mio—whose glowing pink contract collar was practically screaming—and trailing behind them was a hesitant, fidgety Zest.
"...Why are all of you here?"
"What do you mean why?" Maria shot back proudly, hands on her hips. "You didn't set up a soundproof barrier while you were in here having fun with Yuki and Kurumi—obviously you were inviting us to join in!"
Wait, what?
Bokue swore he'd set up a barrier.
...Unless Maria dispelled it.
The little Succubus girl wagged her finger with a cheeky smile.
"No need to hold back now! Let's throw ourselves a proper party!"
Party? That was not the word he'd use...
Bokue was just about to voice his protests, but he caught something from the corner of his eye: Yuki, who'd just moments ago looked warm and loving, had suddenly straightened with a fiery gleam in her golden eyes. She glanced to her sister with a smirk.
"So, Kurumi. You up for round two?"
"Huh? Uh... y-yeah." Before she could think, her mouth had already answered.
