Chapter 117: Matsuda's Peerage? by Harem-Fan

     So the reason Sirzechs really came to get me afterwards was...

     To take me to a rushed high class testing!

     And without suspense I owned it, the test was almost a perfect score, but they had a few impossible answers in there on purpose so no one could be perfect... Go figure?!

     I was then told I would be brought to the Devils Capital Lilith for my formal ceremony the next day.

     Apparently many of the council of aristocrats are in a rush for my healing needs...

     Meh, As long as I get what I want, especially my Grayfia, I will just heal them!

     Grayfia immediately took me back to the Human world to tell everyone the good news!

     And Grayfia was so happy to become my Queen, she was actually crying in maid mode... but it's probably pregnant hormones though.

     Grace was trembling in happiness.

     My Sitri girls were in shock that it happened so fast, but they were excited as well.

     Sona and Rias both have been waiting for this day after all...

     Koneko had taken Rias away for a talk that I was unaware of, due to hugging my crying maid... maids?!

     Coriana was thrilled, and she immediately called her King Sairaorg to come and be there... Probably for the trade!

     Due to Kalawarna and Irina coming for the first time to the Devil's Underworld, we needed to take the Gremory train and the looks on Irina's face was priceless!

     Irina said that the air of the Underworld sent chills up her spine.

     Those that could send Familiars to school did, and the others just called out saying it was the flu.

     Damn I forgot to tell Roshi to behave!

     Meh whatever!

     At the Gremory mansion, inside Ingvild's guest room...

     She and I are sitting on the couch at the foot of her bed, and I asked her privately.

     "Ingvild Leviathan, I am going to become a high class Devil, and with that, will have my own Devil Peerage. I only have the Pawn position to offer, but would you like to become my family, and join my Peerage?"

     To my shock she almost yelled with a happy look like she won a prize?!

     "Yes Matsuda! I would love to be in your Peerage, thank you!"

     She excitedly leaned in and hugged me.

     I guess someone was telling her to join?

     Not sure how many Pawn Pieces she will need, but I should be able to make both Ingvild and Mil-tan my Pawns, right?

     We spent a luxurious night at the Gremory mansion before the event began...

     The whole night all the Gremory including Grayfia, drilled me on everything I needed to do for the ceremony.

     At the end of training for the event, my new Father Zeoticus tried to pull me off to drink!

     But all the girls yelled "No" at him!

     So we just went to the family-room together, while he told me stories of his youth.

     Rias blushed hard when her Father talked about setting the date for our marriage after the youth games...

     At least before the Sitri did it first!

     I could tell this was Venelana's idea, because she only smiled at Zeo's excited plans for Rias and I...

     Zeoticus was not always the most cheerful Devil in the past, because he only learned to enjoy life after the Devil Civil war, when Devil society changed for the better...

     That night, Rias slept with me alone, and she felt insecure...

     While we were both naked, and embracing, I had to love her extra to calm her heart.

     I became a high class noble so fast, that she was breathless at my speed.

     Although her smart brain told her I would never leave, her insecurity had a shadow that I would leave her behind, so I loved her more...

     When we made love that night Rias whispered in my ear.

     "I'm ready, make me pregnant! Use your magic on me..."

     My heart trembled at her words!

     I hadn't even thought of that, because like all Transmigrate Protagonists... I didn't want to mess up the future.

     But my heart wanted to make her happy.

     So I just looked at her in her expectant blue eyes and nodded!

     She gave me the biggest smile I have ever seen, at my acceptance of her request.

     So after I used my Rejuvenation magic on Rias and myself, we wordlessly made love all night...

     We had a night to remember.

     And even after the calamity that fell on us shortly after... I still didn't regret our choice!

     The hell with the plot, I want my lovers to just be happy...

      The next morning...

     I am currently together with the ORC members, Zeoticus, Kris, Venelana, Millicas, Irina, Kalawarna, and my future Peerage members.

     We will be getting on the Gremory train from the Castle Town’s station of the Gremory territory, and head to the capital city, Lilith.

     We are surrounded by a strict guard while we are on the train.

     The place we are heading to is full of crowds, reporters, and possible assassins.

     There are many Devils consisting of civilians and those working in news broadcasts groups.

     An hour later we arrived at the station in Sirzechs territory...

     We then all got into several limousines to head to the ceremonial hall, under strict guard.

     There are several security cars surrounding the limousines in this motorcade.

     Just how much money and people are they using for my promotion today?

     From what I have heard of these ceremonies, mine seems to be a bit abnormal and grand.

     This is such a big deal for one King's promotion, right?

     I found out, the event is being held in the same hall as the first Odin attack in the anime, with the stone monument, and meeting with Odin, Azazel, and the 4 Devil Kings...

     I was taken to my own dressing room to be placed in my ceremonial Devil robes I will wear for the event, and they are applying makeup on me.

     Probably to try to make me look just a bit better?!

     Knock Knock~! I looked at who came to my waiting room...

     Then my King came into my room, Rias is breathtaking when she puts in extra effort to look amazing!

     She has her hair tied up and her crimson dress is shimmering with magic!

     The lipstick on her lips, made her look more refined and older looking.

     I smile and say, while standing to hold her hands.

     "This feels like a wedding to me! Let's make it one for the two of us secretly?!"

     "Silly boy, let's go, we have been called..."

     She just smiled and pulled me out of the room...

     Rias and I headed to the entrance of the ceremonial hall...

     I stand behind Rias, and I have to follow behind her once the doors open.

     There are guards standing at the sides of the huge double doors.

     Around us are military soldiers that are working as security and other staff.

     Rat-a-tat Rat-a-tat~♪ Ratta-tatta-tat-tat~♪! Then the drums roll their cadence...

     Creak~! The double door opens quietly, along with the music playing for our entrance.

     What appears in the spacious view in front of me are...

     Clap Clap Clap~! All the higher-ups in formal dress lined up at the splendid and gorgeous ceremonial hall, where they were looking at me as they gave me applause.

     Rias walks forward, and I follow behind her.

     I saw Sona and her Peerage, plus the Sitri family here to support me as well.

     And all of the ones I came with are next to them watching us.

     Suddenly, I felt this moment was like a dream...

     It was something that shows I have worked hard for the last couple of years.

     I just now realized how many Devils are counting on me now...

     And the one who awaits me at the altar at the top of the steps is Sirzechs Lucifer, who is in his awesome looking Devil King outfit.

     Next to him are the other 3 Devil Kings, and Serafall is giving me a super nice smile, for making her Sister happy?

     As Sirzechs speaks, the applause ends...

     "We have been waiting for this moment. From here on you will become one fine high class Devil."

     He gives me a brotherly smile.

     Under Sirzechs guidance he gave me those words, and the ritual finally began...

     He has to speak about many boring topics for the Devils to take to heart, to not become mindless Demons.

     He explains that the Devils need rules of law and order, to keep our sense of discipline, and to not fall to chaos like the Stray Devils do.

      "Blah Blah Blah, And so the next will be, blah blah blah..."

     Many ceremonial rites are read aloud for the formal ritual to be brought to its end...

     I sat on an actual plush throne, that is beside the altar with Rias...

     The host took over, and I was following the guidance of the host of this ceremony.

     The ritual finally phases into the main part...

     Rias and I stand at the altar top, and the first thing that will happen is the receiving of the certificate of noble rank...

     Devil King Sirzechs Lucifer, starts reading what's written on the certificate to the audience.

     "Blah blah blah, For those reasons, I hereby proclaim you, the servant of Rias Gremory, Matsuda Tanaka, as a noble high class Devil, with the rank of Baron."

     I got on my knee, and received the certificate gratefully with both hands.

     "It will be my honor."

     I reply in a formal manner.

     I stood up to spread my certificate open in-front of the crowd, so they could have a clear look.

     Clap Clap Flash Clap~! There's a sudden rain of claps and camera flashes!

     To my surprise, the loudest to clap for me was Issei.

     I then handed the certificate to the person helping me.

     Now Rias and I stand at the altar and face each other.

     I then got on my knee again, to show my final kneel to my King.

     Rias receives the gold crown with many jewels from the host, then she puts the crown on my head.

     It is a real crown, so I can feel the heavy weight.

     I mouthed, [I do!], and winked at my stunning Devil.

     She tried really hard not to smile or cry.

     Clap Clap Clap~! Then there is another round of applause, with this the ritual for the crowning is finally over.

     For the last part the Devil King Ajuka Beelzebub appears on the altar, and raises his hand.

     Buzz Hum~! Then a stone monument, which is shining in a black color, floats from above our heads...

     This is the monument which is essential for registering as a high class Devil King for a Peerage.

     Touching this stone with your hand, the requirement as a high class Devil to be a King will be completed.

     Ajuka Beelzebub tells me.

     "Now, the new King, Matsuda Tanaka. Place your hand on the monument."

      Ajuka Beelzebub urges me after he placed a small box under the stone.

      I take a step forward while enveloping my right hand with my crimson Demonic Power, then touch the monument.

     Thump~! That moment, my heart made a loud beat!

     This monument is made from the same material as the Evil Pieces.

     The monument shines crimson, and then shows my hand print for an instant.

     And then it returns to the normal black monument.

     The registration is done with this!

     I then received a small box from Ajuka Beelzebub, that he had pulled from below the monument.

     When I opened it, I found 15 white Evil Pieces inside that I could feel a connection with!

     I held it open to show everyone, as I had no Mutation Pieces...

     (Mutation Pieces would change from white, to match the color of the King's Demonic Power. Like the one Rias used on Gasper was a crimson colored Bishop Piece.)

     What I craved for so long is finally in my hands!

     This really makes my heart feel good!

     This means my girls can be with me for a long time!

     The ritual is done with the most crucial part of the ceremony.

     What came after this was the words of congratulation from the important high ranking guests that was read by the host of the ceremony.

     Now Rias and I are done, so we sit in our throne seats and feel a bit relieved.

     After all the itinerary was over, Rias and I left the stage.

     Clap Clap Clap~! When the two of us left the hall, everyone stood and started clapping!

     We both went to a gathering area for friends and family...

     All of my friends and family from both Devil houses came, as well as Sairaorg and his Peerage.

     After our meeting here we will go to a large event hall for a feast, but right now it is immediate friends and family time!

     Also Serafall and Sirzechs came... the latter for the Queen trade.

     Sirzechs saw Grayfia setting up the trading magic circle, and he said to his Mother Venelana, Sairaorg, Rias, and me...

     "Then let the 5 of us begin our trades right away."

     Sairaorg said to me with a smile.

     "Did you know that it’s better to do these trades as soon as possible?"

     Sirzechs says to us.

     "Then let’s get started.”

     His new Queen looks happy to do this too, so she can be his Queen soon... She must love him?

     I saw Koneko step forward to me, and I was surprised.

     "What is up Koneko? Is there something wrong?"

     Koneko says seriously.

     "You said we would be together forever, so I want to be close to you all the time... Rias said yes! Will you have me as your Rook servant?"

     Mwah! I just kiss the top of her head and nod yes!

     Everyone moved from the center of the room, to witness this event...

     The magic circle that appears on the floor of the resting room is glowing silver, and I placed the appropriate Evil Pieces on the edges of the circle.

     Sirzechs, Rias, Venelana, Sairaorg, and I stood outside of the magic circle....

     Grace, Coriana, Koneko, Asia, Xenovia, and Grayfia stand at the center of the magic circle.

     Among the Evil-Pieces which I had just received, I finished placing  the unused pieces consisting of 2 Knights, 2 Bishops, 1 Rook, and 1 Queen.

      Sirzechs, Rias, Venelana, and Sairaorg closed their eyes and increased their Demonic Powers while putting their hands forward.

     Then the Devil symbols written on the magic circle start to circulate...

     Then there are changes happening to the girls in the center.

     What happens first is... Their bodies are shining as if it responded to their King's aura.

     Then next, my body starts to shine in crimson, and each of my pieces that I placed onto the circle shines one after another.

     The flow of the aura changes gradually, as it bypasses the magic circle where the Evil Pieces I set down onto the silver circle starts to merge with the other Kings Demonic Power.

     Then this time, the women's auras merge with my aura as their King.

     Once this whole ritual ends, Sirzechs, Rias, Sairaorg, and Venelana stop their Demonic Power surge and the magic circle on the floor fades.

     Then the four Kings picked up the Evil Pieces which originally belonged to me, but are now theirs.

     Rias then says it with a smile on her face, as she holds the Bishop, Rook, and Knight pieces.

     “Alright, it’s all done now. Asia, Xenovia, Grace, Koneko, Coriana, and Grayfia, from now on you're Matsuda’s Peerage.”

     Clap Clap Clap~! Then everyone clapped for the new servants.

     Sirzechs without hesitation, placed his Queen Piece into his new Devil maid...

     In the back my two favorite fallen angels came to congratulate me, but stopped to watch what was going on.

     Next, Ingvild then stepped up to me and hugged me... She then said with the seriousness of a noble-lady...

     "I, Ingvild Leviathan, was brought back to this world by you and will always serve you loyally!"

     A few in the crowd were shocked by her name, but just watched anyway.

     I looked at my remaining Rook and 8 Pawn pieces, and tried one by one with each of the Pawn Pieces till they would be accepted into her body.

      1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8?! All 8 Pawns weren't enough to turn her into my Pawn?! (She needs 9)

     The crowd was stunned at Ingvild's strength and potential, but Ingvild looked very unhappy...

     Her hope of joining me was vanishing, and she was about to cry.

     This means, without Mutation pieces, Ingvild requires the strongest Queen Piece (9 Pawns worth) that I no longer have, or 2 Rook Pieces (worth 10 Pawns) that I also no longer have...

     Just as a single tear fell from Ingvild's watery orange eyes, my heart hurt.

     "Balance Breaker: Satan Gold!"

      My Sacred Gear gave me an urge, and I turned into Satan Gold to everyone's surprise...

     My Sacred Gear is telling me to use...

     [Second Stage!]

     My Demonic Power erupted with infinite-potential, then I pushed all 8 Pawn Pieces into her chest!

     Ingvild's eyes were opened wide in surprise at my actions.

     I wished with all my heart to make this work, at that moment all of the 8 Pawn Pieces mutated to a crimson color to everyone's terror!

     It would seem my earth manipulation powers in Second Stage were powerful enough to overcharge the Pawn Pieces, to gain enough power to insert themselves into her.

     Like Gasper and his Mutated Bishop Piece, who may have also needed 2 Bishop Pieces, or a Queen Piece to be made a Reincarnated Devil!

     Well the Devils crystal monument is from the earth, right?

     A stone can also be manipulated by my Creation Demonic Power as well.

     Big G your the fucking best!

     [Ingvild, I want you at my side!]

     As all 8 Mutation Pieces sank into her body, many changes occurred in her, as her potential is now limitless...

     Fwoosh Flap~! A crying Ingvild Leviathan, sprouted 8 Devil wings and launched herself into my arms as my Satan Gold faded in golden lights.

     When everyone saw her wings, they were surprised once more, as Ingvild is at the strength of a Ultimate-Class-mid Devil. (Almost as strong as Vali, and can match him if Promoted to Queen) 

     Ingvild wouldn't stop crying for like a couple of minutes, but they were happy tears?!

     Sirzechs and Azazel just looked at me, like I had two heads, so I said seriously.

     "Sacred Gears evolve to the wants and desires of their hosts... And my Sacred Gear is the strongest... This is normal, right? Ingvild wanted to be in my Peerage, so I made it work... Can't let a girl down, right?"

     It had been a long time since a punch-able face made its appearance, but these two guys really wanted to hit me!

     So all the girls just surrounded and calmed down the emotional Ingvild for me.

     And that is how my first day as a noble high class Devil started...

     And let me tell you, that first night was nuts!

Chapter: Evil Piece System and Peerages Information! by Copy-and-Paste-Fan!

Based on the game of chess, there are a total of 15 pieces (1 Queen, 2 Rooks, 2 Bishops, 2 Knights, and 8 Pawns) that are given to High-class Devils (King) with a peerage. These pieces are used to reincarnate other beings into Devils and become servants of the High-class Devil.

The reincarnation abilities of the Evil Pieces, however, are not absolute as they cannot reincarnate Gods or Buddhas into Devils even with a Mutation Piece. The recipients they're used on still retain features and abilities exclusive from their previous race.

The Evil Pieces can reincarnate those who died recently, or anyone still living who chooses to be reincarnated willingly.

Likewise, Evil Pieces can also be used on Pure Devils in servitude to their chosen masters to enhance their own abilities such as Grayfia Lucifuge and Ravel Phenex.

Queens are worth 9 Pawns. Queens possess all the characteristics of Rooks, Knights, and Bishops, making them the most balanced piece as well as the most powerful. Within individual peerages, Queens typically act as their master's second-in-command, overseeing the rest of the peerage.

Rooks are worth 5 Pawns. Rooks gain superhuman strength, leading to high offense and defense. However, they are not very quick, and can get beaten easily by a high-speed opponent. The King can perform Castling with people who hold Rook pieces.

Bishops are worth 3 Pawns. Bishops gain enhanced demonic power and magical abilities which they can use to conjure up a multitude of spells (offensive, healing, etc.). However, more powerful spells consume most of their demonic and magical powers, which takes a long time to regain, forcing them to use their power carefully or risk becoming vulnerable to physical attacks.

Knights are worth 3 Pawns. Knights gain increased speed and mobility, enabling them to perform high-speed attacks and maneuvers. However, their main weakness is their low defense, making them vulnerable to powerful attacks if they are not careful. Another weakness among Knights are their legs; if their legs are injured, their mobility is greatly reduced.

Pawns are worth 1 Pawn each. The traits of Pawns is the ability to promote into a Queen, Rook, Knight, or Bishop in enemy territory (as seen in the anime when Issei enters the church to save Asia) or with the permission of their King (as seen when Issei asked Rias for permission to promote before fighting Riser to break off the engagement in the anime.)

Mutation Pieces If reviving a person requires more than one piece, then using one Mutation Piece would be sufficient in reincarnating that person instead of having to use several pieces. Mutation Pieces can be a Queen, Rook, Knight, Bishop, or Pawn. They are said to be very rare, and only 1 out of 10 Devils possess the Piece. The Mutation Piece is said to be a bug in the Evil Pieces system that was kept for fun. Normal Evil Pieces can also change into Mutation Pieces. This typically occurs as a result of some significant event of the reincarnated devil, as seen with Issei's Pawn Pieces transforming into Mutation Pieces.
