Either E Or S Class: I Will Kill All Vampires.
Chapter 23: Ch 23: OP.
CHAPTER 23: CH 23: OP.
A sleek black rifle not far from the regular L.U.X rifles that he’d grown accustomed to, except for the pulsing blue inlays along the side and the peg-like bullets they fired.
The peg-like bullets in question stuck the skin for about a microsecond before pumping him with enough electricity to light up a football stadium.
And Levi could feel every second of it.
She loaded the rounds again, the inlays shimmered to life, just before—
"Arrgh!"
He screamed as his body involuntarily locked up.
He was already sweating buckets through his clothes.
He turned back while on the floor, he saw her loading yet another round.
He waved his hands furiously in the air, stopping her, "What the fuck are you doing?!!"
She stopped, glancing over at him, his face practically boiled with blood and spittle riddled his face.
She tried her best to hide it but it was obvious, she was enjoying this, evident from the slight smirk on her lips.
’Fucking Psychotic bitch.’
He thought but said nothing.
Levi knew never to piss off a woman holding a loaded gun.
"Kheum," she regained her composure, dropping the gun down to her side.
"Levi, you’re not human... But you’re not exactly a vampire too and as such we have to register a baseline for abilities...
For one, you’re stronger and faster than a human but what does that translate to on the Vampire scale."
Levi, not caring but still annoyed and feeling the aftershocks from the bullets.
"What the hell does this have to do with tasing me, repeatedly?"
She sighed through her nose.
"Vampires have a certain higher threshold for pain that we don’t so I’m trying to get the baseline of yours... That simple enough for you?"
"Hey!"
He retorted.
But before he could say anymore, his eyes caught the faint glow of the gun as she positioned it back in his face.
"Come on, Selene wait—"
His words were cut short as his body straightened out onto the floor.
She spared him another glance, like a scientist with her Guinea pig, "Seems that too low, let’s take things up a notch."
Levi screamed, "No! Isn’t there any other way to deal with this?"
She was already fidgeting with the control panel settings at the side of the gun, "Those were D-Class shots but let’s see how you fare against C-Class shots."
’Those were D-Class shots? What the actual fuc—"
The pain snapped him out of his thoughts.
This time it came with not just pain but a searing hot burning sensation that ran throughout his body, his body was visibly sizzling.
He said nothing else but gritted his teeth through the pain, at least it came with the inability to think so he could just ride the wave.
She tossed the gun to the side, stepped closer to him and bent down, lifted up his top.
The burns, the intense vein lines that converged at his chest and torso dissipated just as soon as they arrived.
"Hmm."
She stood back up, dusting her hands on her trousers.
She walked away from him, slow and deliberate, "You have the healing of a C-Class if not higher... Probably because it’s the only ability that you’ve overused and in response it developed."
He finally regained mobility on the ground, sitting up as he watched the view of her walking away, "So, I’m only gonna get stronger as long as I put myself in situations that make me have to overexert myself."
She stopped when she finally reached the weapons rack, "True. But another way would be to simulate those conditions...
And make them as vivid and immersively life threatening as possible."
’I see where this is going,’ he used a hand to drag the strands of hair on his forehead, "Uhmm... And how exactly do we do that?"
The scepticism in his voice was evident, so much so that she didn’t give a reply, they both knew the answer.
She fidgeted at the rack for a while before slightly glancing over her shoulder towards him, "Do you trust me Levi?"
Levi, needing no time to answer, "Fuck no."
She smirked.
"Good."
She turned, in one swift motion, holding a sniper-like gun in her hands, "Try not to die."
She shut her left eye, placing the right onto the eyepiece, rest the weapon on her shoulder as she lined Levi up for the shot.
’Shit. Shit. Shit’
He thought as he scrambled on all fours, before getting back onto his feet and sprinting for the opposite side of the room.
She finally got a perfect angle of him—
~Bang!~
The shot tore through the air, echoing throughout the room.
Time felt slower— every second stretching for about a minute.
Levi felt it— goosebumps rippling throughout his body from head to toe, he glanced over his shoulder.
Feeling the bullet close the distance like lightning locked onto a metal pole.
He couldn’t stop it whatsoever— it was just too fast.
He intentionally tripped himself, placing one foot in front of the other so as to fall smoothly.
But not exactly gracefully.
He tumbled over himself, he hit the hard floor, his head bounced off like a basketball.
The bullet ran mere shallow inches from his head before missing him and embedding itself in the wall making a slight spiderweb crack pattern.
He felt the slight bump on his forehead, but that wasn’t what worried him.
What worried him was the simple fact that he knew Selene so he knew she was nowhere near done.
He dragged himself up, trying to push the bump down, "Selene I think that’s enough."
She ignored him, already loading another round into the gun, "Levi, vampires are crawling up the classes, they’re more and more high-Class vampires the more we wait...
You need to treat this seriously and so I have to make your body realise that push comes to shove, I will fucking kill you if I have to."
She aimed for him once more—
Firing again.
’Alright body, if you have some secret Goku shit then this is the time to reveal it.’
He stood in place.
Gritting his teeth, shutting his eyes tightly and tensed every muscle in his body and braced for impact.
The bullet tore through his shoulder.
Pushing him onto the ground, his blood pooled over the floor.
The excruciating pain bloomed in his shoulder, with each movement he could feel the bullet against the bone.
’Fuuuuck! So I guess I’m not OP.’
