CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 103: SOMEWHAT INTERESTING

As her hand withdrew, the man faintly felt a sense of loss.

"This colleague was feeling a bit unwell, so I helped him massage his temples," Mabel Quinn quickly explained.

Colton Duncan nearly choked on his breath. Colleague? This was the Crown Prince of the Harris Family. Not to mention Morningstar, just a single move by the Harris Family in J City could shake the business world. And this Crown Prince, he was the future heir of the Harris Family!

Colton Duncan wanted to explain, but saw that Daniel Harris had already removed the small towel covering his eyes and stood up, giving him a look.

Colton Duncan, being the CEO of Morningstar, was both capable and skilled at reading the room. With that glance from Daniel Harris, Colton immediately understood that the Crown Prince didn’t want this female employee to know his identity, so he said, "All right, you can leave now. I have some things to discuss with this employee."

Mabel Quinn glanced at Daniel Harris, feeling that his condition seemed much better, so she left the conference room without saying more.

Colton Duncan stepped forward, a bit anxious, and said, "Young Master, it was my negligence. I didn’t expect someone to intrude into the conference room."

"It’s nothing," Daniel Harris waved it off lightly. "That employee was interesting."

At least in all these years, no one had ever forced his face upward.

A hint of surprise flashed in Colton Duncan’s eyes. At least those words, "interesting," could imply a lot.

"How is the preliminary preparation for ’Sound of the Wind’ going?" Daniel Harris got to the point.

Colton Duncan immediately switched to work mode, reporting the progress to Daniel Harris. Meanwhile, he marveled at how the Crown Prince was personally coming to the Corporation to inquire about the preparation work, which showed how much importance he attached to the film.

After Mabel Quinn returned to the office, Lilith hurriedly called out to her, "Mabel, come quickly and check your computer; several computers in the screenwriting department have collectively been infected by a virus, with all the data erased."

Mabel Quinn was startled and quickly checked her computer, which, unfortunately, had not escaped this disaster either. The documents on her computer had all turned into blank spaces.

"What happened? How did a virus suddenly hit out of nowhere? Is the computer firewall just a decoration?" Lilith shouted, while the other screenwriters in the department all looked distressed, especially those without backups, who appeared extremely anxious.

The technical staff from the Corporation’s computer network department quickly arrived to start repairing the computers. Although they could recover some of the data, much of it was still missing.

During this time, Lyra Grant also came over to Mabel Quinn’s side to inquire about the computer’s repair status. When Mabel Quinn informed Lyra Grant that she didn’t find the investigation report in the conference room, Lyra Grant just sweetly smiled and said, "I later found that the report was stuck in my folder; sorry, Mabel, for making you take a trip for nothing."

Mabel Quinn gave a faint smile, it seemed Lyra Grant indeed delighted in giving her a hard time. If Lyra Grant used this effort on writing, she might reach greater heights.

Due to the unexpected virus issue, the screenwriting department was thrown into quite a commotion. Over the next few days, the members of the screenwriting department were busy trying to restore the missing data, and some without backups had to redo their work, leading to plenty of overtime and a hectic pace.
