CHAPTER 107: CHAPTER 108 BAIL

After Lyra Grant left the pantry, Lilith leaned in again next to Mabel Quinn. "What was that all about, why did Lyra Grant glare at you like you owed her millions?"

"Who knows." Mabel Quinn replied indifferently. If we’re talking about debts, it’s Lyra Grant who owes her an apology!

In the evening, Mabel Quinn still didn’t see Kyle Kinston. According to the servants, Kyle hasn’t stayed overnight at Kyle’s residence for several days.

Perhaps it’s because Kyle directly dismissed several servants, now those in service have become much more respectful towards her and don’t make snide remarks to her face anymore.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, Mabel Quinn suddenly received a call from her elder brother. Over the phone, Cecil Quinn stammered, "Mabel, can you come to the police station? I’m at the station right now."

Mabel Quinn didn’t know what kind of trouble her brother got into to end up at the police station, but she couldn’t worry about that now. She quickly dressed, grabbed her wallet and phone, and rushed out of the room.

Her departure from Kyle’s residence in the middle of the night led to quite a bit of questioning from the security at the door. When Mabel Quinn finally reached the police station, she learned that her brother had been with a prostitute at a nightclub. Her boyfriend found out, and they’d fought, bringing the police into it, which is how he ended up at the station.

Mabel Quinn looked at her brother in disbelief, unable to imagine he would do something like this.

Cecil Quinn was also quite uneasy, but he urged Mabel to bail him out quickly.

Meanwhile, the man who had clashed with Cecil was still threatening, saying he wouldn’t let Cecil off easily once he got out!

Mabel Quinn started the bail process, but upon hearing the bail amount was 5,000 yuan, she was troubled. She didn’t have that much money.

Cecil didn’t have it either, so he urged Mabel to borrow some. He said he finally had a good job and didn’t want his friends to know he couldn’t even come up with 5,000 yuan.

Mabel was speechless, wondering who to borrow money from at this late hour, when suddenly the police officer handling Cecil’s bail received a call. Afterward, his attitude towards Mabel improved significantly. "Ms. Quinn, the 5,000 yuan bail has already been paid. Please sign your name on the bottom line and you can take your brother home."

Mabel was taken aback, the bail was paid? "Who paid it?"

"I don’t know." The officer replied.

Mabel felt completely baffled, but the immediate priority was to get her brother out. So she signed in the guarantor section.

When Cecil was brought to the police station lobby, he started arguing again with the young man involved. The guy glared at Cecil viciously, "Today’s matter is not over so easily. No one messes with my girl and walks away!"

Cecil wasn’t willing to back down, "Fine, I’m waiting."

Someone nearby quietly advised Cecil, "Don’t argue with him. He’s got gang connections and is a regular here. Don’t let pride lead to bigger troubles."
