CHAPTER 125: CHAPTER 126-127 GREAT CRYING

Fortunately, it wasn’t long before the car stopped in front of the mansion. Kyle Kinston finally withdrew his fingers, and Mabel Quinn smacked her lips, seemingly still savoring the taste.

Kyle carried Mabel to her room, but as soon as he set her down on the bed, her hand suddenly hooked onto his, pulling him onto the bed in an instant. The next moment, she held onto him as if he were a stuffed toy, clinging tightly with both arms.

If he hadn’t known how terribly low her alcohol tolerance was, he might have thought she was doing this on purpose to catch his attention.

Of course, under normal circumstances, he would absolutely not be so easily pinned down. Yet right now, being underneath her, if word got out, it would probably shock quite a few people.

"Mabel Quinn, get down." Kyle said.

"...No... I don’t want to..." she mumbled.

He considered whether to push her away directly, but doing so might risk hurting her.

"Mabel Quinn, get down, or I’ll..."

Her hands were pressed on the bedding on either side of his head, and her upper body slowly lifted as she looked down, her drunken almond eyes dazedly staring at him, filled with curiosity like a young beast, "You’re... so pretty... Are you the doll daddy bought for me?"

"..." Kyle’s face turned dark immediately, "No."

"You... are!" she insisted, "I told daddy... I wanted the prettiest doll in the world... so, daddy gave you to me... Be good, and I’ll... treat you very well..."

And so, the CEO’s face darkened even more, yet he couldn’t deny that as her hand continuously stroked his hair, it unexpectedly gave him a pleasant sensation.

"I want to tell you something..." Her voice suddenly lowered and carried a trace of sobbing, "I... I just realized today... that my future... can’t even compare to a house... No one, no one even cares what happens in my life... Maybe... my existence... is meaningless..."

As she spoke, tears once again rolled down her face, drop by drop, and landed on his face.

The warm tears, however, brought him a stinging sensation—undeniably, he disliked seeing her cry, as if something heavy was pressing against his chest, making him extremely uncomfortable.

It was only then that he noticed the red mark on her face, a trace of being slapped. His phoenix eyes narrowed quickly as he raised his hand, gently wiping her tears, his fingertips lightly brushing over the red mark on her face, "I care about your life. Your existence is definitely not meaningless."

It seemed she heard his words, and suddenly, she buried her head against his chest and began to cry.

Suddenly, the room door was pushed open by a servant, "Sir, the hangover soup you requested earlier..."

The voice stopped abruptly, and the servant stared at the scene in front of her, completely bewildered. What did she just see?!

Kyle’s face turned grave, "Out!"

"Y-yes!" The servant hastily placed the hangover soup aside and quickly exited the room.

Kyle looked at the person still moving on his chest, "Mabel Quinn, do you even know what you’re doing?" Of course, at the moment, she had no idea.

She lifted her head once more to look at him, then gave him a foolish smile, "I’ll treat you well... Will you... also be good to me?"

For a moment, he found it so dazzling, capturing all of his attention, making him irresistibly want to see more and more...

"Mabel Quinn, if I treat you well, could you promise... never to betray me for a lifetime?" he murmured, even though he knew she might be too drunk to understand what he was saying.

She shook her head and looked at him, then suddenly grinned, leaned in, and kissed his lips, "Sure... I like that... never betray for a lifetime."

Mabel Quinn was awakened early in the morning by the ringing of the phone. She groped around in a daze for a while before opening her eyes to find the phone in the bag on the bedside, then took it out from the bag.

As soon as she pressed the answer button, Lilith’s anxious voice came through the phone, "Mabel, where are you right now? Early in the morning, a woman claiming to be your mom and a man claiming to be your brother came to the Corporation, saying they are apologizing to Lyra Grant on your behalf for stealing her script."

Mabel was startled, and her head, still a bit muddled from the hangover, became much clearer.

"My mom and brother went to the Corporation?" she exclaimed.

"Yeah, they’re publicly apologizing to Lyra Grant right now. Lyra’s looking so smug, and your mom and your brother are saying you’re too embarrassed to apologize yourself, so they came on your behalf. What’s going on? Didn’t you write that script? Why are your mom and your brother apologizing?"

Mabel quickly said, "I’m coming over right now. Keep an eye on what’s happening over there for me! Call me if anything changes!"

She spoke as she hurriedly grabbed her clothes and got dressed, then rushed to wash up before grabbing her bag and dashing out of Kyle’s mansion.

Mabel got a cab heading to Corporation. She didn’t expect her mother and brother would go directly to the Corporation and apologize to Lyra Grant in public. They knew full well what consequences this would have for her, yet for the house promised by the Grant Family, they still did it!
