Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 134 - 137 What Do You Want
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 137 WHAT DO YOU WANT
Mabel Quinn gave a faint smile, "If Mr. Grant is here to talk to me about these matters today, then I think my stance is clear. I have no intention of handing over what’s mine. Whether or not my name appears under the screenwriter section, Lyra Grant doesn’t need to say anything to the editor-in-chief. If Mr. Grant continues to support your daughter without distinguishing right from wrong, I’m afraid there will be a third time for such matters in the future."
Mabel Quinn finished speaking and was about to get up and leave.
Joseph Grant suddenly snorted coldly, "If you don’t agree to this matter today, then don’t expect to stay on with Morningstar tomorrow. By that time, your internship results won’t even allow you to graduate, and your family will be implicated because of you."
Mabel Quinn understood that Joseph Grant had completely torn off the façade with her, but she hadn’t expected that even as a high executive of a major company, Joseph Grant would lack basic decency, openly using power and influence to threaten her.
Seeing Mabel Quinn remain silent, Joseph Grant thought she was frightened. After all, she’s just a 20-year-old kid who hasn’t even graduated from college yet. How much self-control and capability could she possibly have? "You better think it through carefully, lest in the end, you end up with nothing!"
"Mr. Grant, are you planning to abuse your power? Do you know that the words you just said can be reported?" Mabel Quinn replied.
"Report?" Joseph Grant sneered, "To whom would you report? I’d like to see who can hold me accountable!"
Mabel Quinn took a few steps away, and this time, Joseph Grant didn’t stop her. He just watched her pull out her phone and make a call. Joseph Grant sneered once more. Young people who haven’t seen much of the world truly think making a complaint call will achieve anything? If anyone could casually report him, he would’ve been removed from his position long ago.
Joseph Grant waited for her to finish the call, ready to give her a stern rebuke.
A moment later, after Mabel Quinn finished her call, Joseph Grant approached, "Mabel, shall we see whether your call works or if tomorrow you’ll receive a notice asking you to leave Morningstar."
Mabel Quinn raised her eyebrows and looked at Joseph Grant, smiling confidently, "Alright, let’s see." With that, she saw the bus she was waiting for arrive, ignored Joseph Grant, and dashed over to the bus stop.
Joseph Grant sneered as he watched her board the bus, perplexed about where this yet-to-graduate college student got her confidence from.
But just as Joseph Grant was about to start his car and leave, his phone rang suddenly. It was a call from the company’s boss.
Joseph Grant immediately dared not delay and quickly picked up the phone.
All he heard was the boss angrily yelling over the phone, "You’re already at this age, don’t drag others into things for your daughter’s sake. Let the kids solve their own issues. There’s no need for an adult like you to intervene."
Joseph Grant was shocked, never expecting the boss to know about this and specifically call to reprimand him.
He repeatedly agreed, "Yes, yes, I understand."
After finishing the call with the boss and recalling Mabel Quinn’s earlier call and words, Joseph Grant couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat.

Mabel Quinn returned to Kyle’s residence, only to hear Kyle Kinston say to her, "I’ve already informed his boss. He’ll be warned."
