Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 137 - 140: Dare or Not Dare
CHAPTER 137: CHAPTER 140: DARE OR NOT DARE
A few large men surrounded Mabel Quinn, their expressions full of ill intent. Mabel’s hands were still tied, and there was nowhere to retreat.
"Don’t come any closer, I can negotiate other terms with you, as long as you let me go," Mabel said, hoping to seize one last chance.
But those men didn’t listen at all. One of them impatiently lunged at her, knocking her to the ground. "No... let go of me... let go!" she struggled, was the nightmare about to repeat itself?
That time, in front of Kyle Kinston, she was utterly powerless to resist.
And this time, she faced these lust-driven men.
Just then, a sudden sound of screeching brakes echoed outside the warehouse, making the men momentarily halt their actions. Big Brother Biao instructed one of them, "Go out and see what’s going on."
However, before the man could step out of the warehouse, Mabel saw a figure walk in and directly take down the person nearest to the door.
The people inside the warehouse suddenly looked panicked and momentarily let go of Mabel.
"Who are you?" Big Brother Biao asked.
"You don’t need to know," Kyle Kinston said coldly, pointing at Mabel, who was struggling to sit up, "Hand her over to me."
"What, you still want the person? Think we’re scared just because you’re dressed like a decent human?" Big Brother Biao sneered, ordering his men, "Get him! Give this kid a good beating."
"But he dresses quite well, could he have some background or backup, otherwise how would he dare come alone?" one of the subordinates said.
"So what if he does? Even if he has connections, I know people too. If anything happens, I’ll cover it!" Big Brother Biao retorted brusquely.
Kyle Kinston had already taken off his jacket, glancing briefly at the disheveled Mabel, "So you’re saying you won’t hand her over."
"Of course we won’t give her up, who do you think you are?" Big Brother Biao shouted, "All of you, get him!"
In an instant, the warehouse turned into a battleground. Mabel saw Kyle weaving among the thugs, throwing punches and kicks, his movements not particularly flashy, but each strike was filled with immense power. Around him, people kept falling, groaning in pain.
When the thugs pulled out daggers and iron rods, he still showed no sign of retreat.
She even felt several times that his gaze swept over to her, and during the fight, he was still distracted, keeping an eye on her situation.
Was he worried about her? Mabel’s eyes moistened unconsciously. Earlier, when her brother threw her to these men, she didn’t cry because her heart had already turned cold. But now, watching Kyle fight for her, she wanted to cry.
She never imagined that in her most helpless moment, he would burst in to save her.
Seeing two thugs entangle him while another crept up with a dagger, intending to attack him from behind, Mabel struggled to her feet and desperately ran towards him.
She didn’t want someone helping her to get hurt! She wanted to protect him!
Mabel suddenly dashed behind Kyle, and seeing the dagger about to strike her, she instinctively closed her eyes. But in the next moment, pain didn’t come. Instead, something warm and dripping landed on her face.
