CHAPTER 192: CHAPTER 196: IN TIME

"I’ll be right back." Mabel Quinn put away her phone. Her gaze was fixed on Hannah the whole time, "Hannah, you want to flatter Lyra Grant, whatever you say about me, I can take it as nonsense, but what right do you have to talk about how my dad treats me? Who are you to me? Who are you to my dad?"

Katie also angrily said, "Hannah, what you said is too much! Bringing in someone else’s parents like that!"

Some other classmates also started to voice their discomfort, "Yeah, Hannah, even if you’re arguing with Mabel Quinn, you shouldn’t drag her parents into it."

Hannah stubbornly insisted, "I’m just telling the truth, Mabel Quinn caused her dad’s death, wasn’t her dad unlucky to have a daughter like that, who came to take his life..."

A crisp slap echoed in the restaurant, stopping Hannah’s yelling, along with the discussions around them.

"Hannah, if you say one more word, it’ll be more than just this slap!" Mabel Quinn said coldly, the icy severity in her eyes momentarily stunned Hannah.

The commotion had already attracted the attention of Mr. Wang’s family.

"Sorry for causing this mess with the tofu meal." Mabel Quinn apologized to Mr. Wang’s family, "I originally came today just to bid farewell to the teacher properly... I better leave now."

Mabel Quinn said this, gave a greeting to Katie, then picked up her bag from the chair and headed towards the stairs.

Hannah finally snapped back to reality, feeling humiliated by the slap Mabel gave her in front of so many people. She then charged straight at Mabel.

Katie gasped, "Mabel, watch out!"

Mabel Quinn turned at the warning, instinctively looking back, only to see Hannah charging at her, knocking her directly off the steps.

There was a collective gasp of shock, no one expected Hannah to do something like that in front of so many witnesses.

Lyra Grant stared blankly at the scene, but a slight smirk inadvertently appeared on her lips. Good, Hannah did well. If it could result in Mabel Quinn becoming disabled, all the better. Then she’d like to see if Mr. Kyle Kinston still wanted a cripple!

Lyra Grant thought viciously but didn’t hear the sound of a heavy fall to the ground.

At that moment, only Hannah, closest to the stairs, saw what really happened.

A man had suddenly rushed to the middle of the stairs and caught Mabel Quinn! The man was now looking down, nervously checking on Mabel Quinn and asking anxiously.

"I’m alright." Mabel Quinn finally snapped back to reality from the shock, but recalling how Hannah had knocked her down the stairs, her heart was still filled with fear.

Just as Mabel Quinn tried to stand up straight on her own, she felt a sudden pain in her ankle, indicating it had twisted when she was knocked down.

Her brow furrowed in pain, and she bit down on her lower lip.

Kyle Kinston noticed and asked, "Does your foot hurt?"

"I might have twisted it just now," she said.

He scooped her up horizontally and walked step by step up the stairs, arriving at the stairway landing, where he glanced coldly at Hannah, "You’re the one who knocked her down the stairs." It was not a question, but a statement.
