Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 34 Internship Confirmation
CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34 INTERNSHIP CONFIRMATION
"No, no!" She shook her head like a rattle drum, feeling an impulse to spit blood. What was she thinking, saying a few months? She should have said a few days!
No, wait! She should have said she was completely accustomed!
"Get ready, move over tonight," Kyle Kinston concluded directly.
"Wait, at least give me some time to prepare. Moving isn’t something that can be done just like that!" she quickly said.
"How much time do you want?" He asked leisurely.
"At least... after I graduate from university," she replied, initially wanting to say a year, but thinking that sounded too exaggerated.
His dark eyes stared directly at her, those eyes seemingly hinting at some kind of danger, making her heart beat fast, "Then... at least a month, I have a lot of things to sort out."
"How about I send someone over to help you with that?" he suggested.
"A week. If I do it myself, a week will be enough, no need for you to send someone," she blushed and said.
He smiled gently, like shimmering waves, extremely beautiful, "I’m not used to bargaining with people, but this time I’ll agree with you, just a week. You’re moving in a week."
And it wasn’t until Mabel Quinn got out of the car did she abruptly realize, why did she have to move just because Kyle Kinston said so? She should at least have the right to personal freedom!
Back at school, Mabel Quinn returned to her dorm to get her textbooks and quickly rushed to the classroom. Luckily, the internship was starting in two days, so the teacher wouldn’t be too strict these days.
When she reached the classroom, the professor hadn’t arrived yet, but Evelyn immediately jumped in shock when she saw Mabel Quinn’s outfit, "Mabel, did you strike it rich? You’re wearing the latest MJ collection!"
MJ is a top luxury brand in the world, and the price of a single piece of clothing is usually equivalent to an average person’s income for several years.
Mabel Quinn sweatdropped, quickly saying, "They’re all knock-offs, fully knock-offs!"
"I figured as much, I only have a few pieces of MJ myself. How could you have it? But your knock-off looks rather authentic," Evelyn said.
Mabel Quinn gave an embarrassed smile. At the end of the class, the professor announced the internship placement list. The internships could be self-sought or arranged by the school.
"Morningstar, Mabel, you managed to intern at Morningstar. That’s hitting the jackpot!" Alice Conley breathlessly informed her of the news.
Morningstar Films is an industry under the Harris Family, working closely with government departments. Not just anyone could get in, even those pulling strings for an internship might not succeed.
Even Evelyn was looking at Mabel Quinn with envy. Though her own family found her an internship at a film company, its strength was far from that of Morningstar.
During lunch, Mabel Quinn received a call from her mother, "Tomorrow is your father’s memorial day. Come home tonight."
"Okay, I understand," Mabel Quinn replied, her mood turning heavy. It’s been 11 years now since her father passed away.
After school the next day, Mabel Quinn returned home. The dining table in the living room was already set with items for the memorial, and her father’s photo was hung on the wall. Her older brother was sitting on the sofa playing with his phone, and when he saw Mabel return, he said, "Oh, our family’s talented girl is back."
