CHAPTER 342: CHAPTER 355: WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY
"Don’t pay attention to Daniel Harris anymore, okay?" he murmured softly, gently brushing aside her bangs with his fingers, his fingertips gliding over her brows and eyes. "Otherwise, I don’t know what I might do."
She continued to sleep soundly, only responding with shallow breaths.
His brows and eyes lowered gently; since she had gone to find Daniel Harris, asking him if he’s Isaac Zimmerman, he wondered what kind of reaction Daniel Harris would have.
And Grace Yowell... what kind of role did she play in this matter? It’s intriguing how her fate was altered because of Daniel Harris.

When Daniel Harris woke up, his eyes were still covered with thick bandages. It was pitch black, and he couldn’t see anything, as if he had returned to those days in Drumbeat Village, where his world was similarly shrouded in darkness.
"Daniel, you’re awake? Are you still in pain anywhere?" Grace Yowell’s voice sounded by Daniel Harris’s ear.
"Not really," he replied.
"I’ll go get the doctor," Grace Yowell said.
A moment later, Owen Finley and two nurses entered the ward and performed a series of basic checks on Daniel Harris. After confirming there was nothing wrong, Owen Finley said to Daniel Harris, "Try to control your emotions as much as possible. If those symptoms occur several more times, you might not be able to save your eyes."
Daniel Harris calmly asked, "When can the bandages on my eyes be removed?"
"In another week," Owen Finley said, "and then we’ll determine further treatment based on your vision status."
After Owen Finley and the nurses had left the room, Grace Yowell said, "Daniel, are you thirsty? I’ll pour you a glass of water."
Daniel Harris nodded.
Grace Yowell poured a glass of warm water and handed it to Daniel Harris. He sipped gently on the water, "How long have I been asleep?"
"Almost 10 hours," Grace Yowell replied, "I’ve already asked someone to prepare hot porridge; it will be delivered soon."
"Have you been by my bedside the entire time?" Daniel Harris asked.
"Of course, I couldn’t bear to leave you like this," Grace Yowell said, "I asked the crew for time off and had the director help out, concentrating my scenes over a few days to finish them all at once."
"What about Mabel Quinn?" Daniel Harris suddenly asked.
Grace Yowell’s body stiffened abruptly, looking at Daniel Harris, who was facing her direction. Even though his eyes were covered with thick bandages and he couldn’t see anything, she still felt extremely nervous.
"She’s already gone back," Grace Yowell stabilized her emotions and replied, using a prepared excuse, "Daniel, I don’t know what Mabel Quinn said to you, but I’m really afraid something will happen to your eyes again. It makes me so worried."
Her words conveyed emotion on one hand, but also sought to understand what Daniel Harris had learned.
"Did Mabel Quinn also spend time in Drumbeat Village?" Daniel Harris asked. The things Mabel Quinn had told him earlier shocked him, although at that time, the pain in his eyes and head was so intense that he couldn’t ask some questions in time.
"Yes, she did stay in Drumbeat Village before, but only for a very short period of time," Grace Yowell replied.
"Then why have you never told me?" his tone carried a subtle reprimand, showing his displeasure.
