CHAPTER 512: CHAPTER 530: RE-ENTERING HAN GARDEN

Mabel Quinn sighed. The once-popular star had fallen to this state in such a short time.

When Mabel Quinn walked out of the police station, she unexpectedly saw Daniel’s mother standing at the entrance, as if waiting for someone. When Daniel’s mother saw her, she showed an urgent expression and hurriedly walked towards her. Mabel understood that the person Daniel’s mother was waiting for was her.

"I’m sorry for the intrusion. I came here today because I heard you were at the police station giving a statement, so I rushed over," Daniel’s mother said.

"Auntie, is there something you need from me?" Mabel asked.

"Daniel returned to Han Garden today," Daniel’s mother sighed. "I couldn’t stop him and could only help with his discharge procedures. After a consultation with specialists, they determined his eyes could undergo surgery, but the success rate is only 50%. However, he doesn’t even want this 50% chance at regaining his sight."

Mabel was shocked. "He doesn’t want the surgery?"

Daniel’s mother nodded. "He said he’d rather stay blind than have the surgery. Neither his father nor I could persuade him. No matter if we scold or beg, it’s useless. If possible, I hope you can talk to Daniel."

Daniel’s mother explained her purpose. At this point, maybe only Mabel’s persuasion could get through to her son.

"Of course, no problem," Mabel said, hoping Daniel Harris’s eyesight could be restored too.

"Then let’s head to Han Garden now," Daniel’s mother said urgently.

"Now?" Mabel was taken aback.

"Is there a problem?" Daniel’s mother asked.

"It’s nothing. I had originally planned to buy groceries and make dinner for Kyle tonight. Let me call and explain to him," Mabel said.

Daniel’s mother quickly said, "Then let’s get in the car first, you can call on the way."

Once in the car, Mabel dialed Kyle Kinston’s number. "Kyle, I’m heading to Han Garden with Daniel’s mother because Daniel is refusing eye surgery, so I want to try to persuade him. I won’t have time to make dinner tonight, sorry."

"It’s okay, just take care of yourself. Call me if there’s anything," the voice on the other end sounded normal.

"Alright." She responded.

Kyle Kinston put away his phone, his expression cold and unreadable. Only he knew his heart was racing faster than usual, and a sense of unease was slowly spreading within his body.

Mabel Quinn re-entered Han Garden, but her mood was completely different from previous visits. As she passed through the garden, she saw several paintings laid out on the lawn. She recognized them as paintings she had seen before in Daniel Harris’s studio, all of which were his own work, as far as she knew.

"These are..." she couldn’t help but ask.

"When Daniel came back and found out there was heavy rain last night, the studio window wasn’t closed properly. Some of the paintings got wet, so he took them out to dry," Daniel’s mother explained, leading Mabel to the front of the studio.

When Daniel’s mother opened the studio door, Mabel saw Daniel Harris sitting in the painting chair, seemingly holding a painting in his arms. With the white bandages no longer covering his eyes, she could see him with his eyes closed, as if resting.

"Ever since he returned, he’s been holding onto that painting, unwilling to let go," Daniel’s mother whispered. "Go and talk to him. Maybe now, only your words can reach him."
