"Okay." She smiled, went upstairs to change into some loungewear, then put on an apron and entered the kitchen.

Kyle Kinston followed her into the kitchen, helping Mabel Quinn with the preparations.

"Just thinking how nice it is to spend New Year’s Eve with you." This solid, warm feeling had been absent since her father passed away.

Hearing that, he also smiled, "From now on, every New Year’s Eve, we’ll spend it together."

Year after year, their future held many more New Year’s Eves, and in that moment, Kyle imagined the both of them, hair turned white, still spending New Year’s Eve like this.
