CHAPTER 70: OLYMPIA

Aaliyah thought they’d be walking on clouds. There was so much disappointment as they strode on solid land with a teacher in front of them. Fergus had been left behind, and his weird eyeball had kept staring at her as she climbed down the bus.

The walk lasted for over fifteen minutes before they began sighting the school.

"That’s crazy," Aaliyah whispered to her friend who could only nod in response and agreement. Yuan had been here many times but one can never get used to the thick and tall white fences that surrounded the whole school.

They were so tall they went all the way up with no sight of where the top was.

They stopped in front of one of the large doors, and a smaller door opened up with someone standing behind it as everyone walked in.

The school was different than everything Aaliyah imagined. It didn’t even look like a school. The buildings were looking old and barely had any paint in them, and they were mostly one story tall. But there was a large building that stood out from the rest, and this one was several stories tall with no end to it too.

The teacher moving in front of them stopped and whirled around to look at them. She had a small face and her eyes were of different color. It made her so unique, and she had the tiniest, yet sharpest voice, "You are the last set of arriving Olympians. We will head straight to the joint now," She said.

"It’s like a Hall. A rendezvous for everyone in the school. Like an assembly ground," Yuan explained to her friend before she could even ask.

They walked into the large building and went through a few flights of stairs before into the joint. It was already packed, and they found a place to sit.

It was designed like a stadium, but much smaller with the teachers and Chancellor seated in the center of everything while Olympians surrounded them.

Aaliyah took a look around the whole place, wondering if this were all the students of Olympia. They were even lesser than she thought they would be, and she could only shake her head in awe. Olympia was so strict on accepting students.

Once everyone was settled, Theodore stood up and began speaking to everyone, mostly Olympians. He welcomed the four new students and the other thirty that had been accepted this new session and spoke a little about the school.

Theodore focused and pointed out the new school rules.

’ No Olympian should be found outside their dorm after 9 pm

’ Every Olympia should always move with their ID, and submit on request ’

’ Once in a month, Olympians would be allowed to visit home. On no occasion would an Olympian be allowed to leave the school grounds without special permission, ’

’ The sixth and ninth floor of the Joint Building is restricted to all Olympians. Nothing should ever have you caught or seen anywhere close to those floors, ’

’ If requested for questioning, all Olympians must comply without complaint ’

’ It is strictly and heavily forbidden to step foot or go close to the Grim Forest that stretches behind this school, unless with special permission, ’

Yuan was right. There were a lot of new school rules.

Aaliyah’s curious eyes wandered around all the teachers. She was subconsciously looking for the man with long dark hair and a voice that could cause an earthquake.

He wasn’t there. He was not in attendance.

"At the Back of your ID, you must have seen a strange mix of numbers and letters written there," Theodore continued, "That indicates your Dorm Room number. If you also noticed, you’ll see that there’s been an upgrade with a few new buildings to the right and left of the Joint Building. The Left is the dormitory of the ladies, and the right would be occupied by the gentlemen,"

Wait...does everyone have their own room? Aaliyah wanted to ask Yuan but she looked so concentrated on what the Chancellor was saying.

"There’s another building facing here, which will serve as the general dining hall for those interested in eating...and drinking,"

Wait a minute. Wait a goddamn minute. Was it ok for Aaliyah to be sitting here surrounded by hundreds of Vampires and she was the only one with blood they could drink? She hadn’t even thought about the risk of coming to this school.

She was the freaking only human within this massive fence.

"If the New students have any questions, there’s a map in your ID books which will lead you to the Guidance’s officer. You are all dismissed!"

Well, that didn’t last as long as she thought.

When Aaliyah tried to stand up and walk out like other Olympians were doing, Yuan pressed a palm on her thighs and told her with her eyes to keep still.

Once the hall was empty with only the teachers talking within themselves, Yuan began with a serious look, "This card contains our timetables and the classes we will be having together. Our Dorm rooms might be far from one another, but I’ll be staying in your room frequently to keep an eye on you. I don’t know why I didn’t realize this sooner that everyone here must be seeing you as prey. The only reason they haven’t pounced on you yet must be because you survived the phantom games, hence they’re being careful since they do not know what you really are."

Aaliyah was stricken. The bad feeling had come true.

"Is it that bad?"

"You have to be careful. Whenever you’re alone, stay away from everyone. If you have any questions, hold them in till we see again. Don’t act scared, but don’t act tough. Just...chill," Yuan continued to whisper.

"I’m sweating. My pits are itching so much right now. I feel like I’m going to die before it’s morning again," Aaliyah broke out genuinely.

It was better when she was up against three opponents, but now she had to watch out for hundreds of them.

Just then, the door opened again and the dark-haired teacher walked in. The whole room paused and everyone watched his steps as he approached the other teachers. There was something about him that was just so purely powerful, unbeatable, and extremely dark. His every step was loud and demanding, and his physique and aura were off the charts.

Suddenly, his face turned to the side and Aaliyah got a good look at his face...and his eyes that were piercingly stabbing her eyes back.

A terrifying gaze.
