Being a Sector Lord wasn't easy.

Cedric never assumed that it would be, but the reality of it still surprised him a little bit. There were just too many things to pay attention to, especially with how large the territory was.

It's been about six months since he came here, and even with that amount of time, Cedric barely made any changes to his territory. He's still at the planning phase of the sector's development and is quite far away from actually starting the construction.

In truth, Cedric could just leave everything be.

All he truly needed to do was to transfer his people here and attract more people to live in his territory. After that, he could let nature take its course. He could just focus on macro-management and allow his people to build and populate the domain on their own so long as they're not stepping out of the line. He could slowly steer the path of development from here on out, and eventually, everything will fall into its place.

However, that's too lazy.

He couldn't, in good faith, leave a bad impression of the generosity of the council. They gave him this entire sector to manage because they're expecting great things from him, and since he accepted it, he would, of course, deliver.

Besides, it's not Cedric's style to be a lazy monarch. Therefore, even though there wasn't any actual progress during these past six months, it doesn't mean that Cedric was idle.

He had grand plans for this sector. He didn't want it to be just another sector domain in the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm. He wants it to leave a lasting impression, one of prosperity and progress.

Obviously, such grand plans will take a lot of time, but that's fine; he's got plenty to work with, and he certainly doesn't lack any resources or money to do so.

While Cedric continues to plan for the development of the sector, General Skylark and his army continue to work as they're expected to.

They've already set up temporary camps and settled down the core of their operations in the meantime within these six months. After they're done with that, they begin deploying the security measures according to whatever's available to them so that they can begin their task.

One has to know that they operate semi-independently for now. Cedric could suggest ideas to them as the Sector Lord, but General Skylark had the final say on whether to implement those ideas or not.

This was because the sector domain isn't ready yet, and Cedric, even as the legitimate Sector Lord, doesn't have any real experience in governing an entire sector just yet.

Cedric didn't take offense to this. He understood why there was such a rule like this. It is true that he's still inexperienced, and General Skylark, having been born and raised in a deep military background and having worked directly under the council his entire life, knows more than he does.

But even so, General Skylark knows his place. He knows not to overstep his boundaries with this loose authority. He's clear about his task and won't necessarily offend Cedric just for the sake of attaining his ideal image of what the security for this domain should look like.

Quinella and Wilfred were different from General Skylark, though. These two are under the direct orders of Cedric. They will only listen to him and nobody else, not even the council or the Golden Bangle Bank.

Their service to him was like a master-slave relationship. The moment the Golden Bangle Bank transferred them to Cedric, their lives were also passed down, not just their loyalty.

Cedric only needs to tell them what to do, and these two will give it their all to accomplish their mission even if it costs them their lives. They understand their place and were completely aware that is what they signed up for.

"Where is Dawnbringer now?"

It's been more than half a year since the millennial tournament was over, and yet even now, people are still talking about it. It couldn't be helped; the ending was highly unsatisfactory for the viewers. They weren't able to watch Dawnbringer be coronated as this era's strongest prodigy.

Everybody was wondering where he is now. What happened to him? Was he okay? Did he really break through to the Universe Master realm? What did he upgrade to the heavenly law stage? Was it his Sword Laws or his Fire Laws? What were his plans afterwards? Did he join one of the ancient sects or organizations?

Forums are filled with these questions. They wanted to know more about Dawnbringer. If possible, they'd watch his daily life if they could and be satisfied with it. Alas, that's very unlikely to happen.

Of course, there will always be people who will try to take advantage of this situation. Some see these demands as an opportunity to make money, either by publicizing fake news or clickbait or scamming people of their generous donations by saying that they will launch an extensive investigation to track him down for them.

There will always be people like this, which is a pity for the gullible fans.

However, there are also those who are more perceptive and justifiably unwilling to see their fellow supporters getting scammed.

One such person was Steven, the biggest fan of Giant Axe Andrew and also Dawnbringer now.

He created a long post, which stated:

『Dear Dawnbringer Fans: DON'T FALL FOR THEIR TRICKS!!!』

: You don't know me, and I don't know you, but we're both fans of Dawnbringer.

I've watched Dawnbringer since he was still a rookie in the Virtual Arena. He fought and won against my idol, Great Axe Andrew, and I've been following both of them ever since.

I've also watched the entirety of Heavenly Star's Millennial Tournament, so much so that I certainly pissed off my boss and almost got fired (lol). So, yes, I am a big fan of Dawnbringer as well, and I am rooting for him all the way.

That's why I am telling you to not believe the people who are publishing rumors about Dawnbringer or telling you that they will track him down and give you updates.

They are lying to you.

We all know how strong Dawnbringer is, and even though he didn't seem to be coronated as the 1st and the strongest genius of this era, in our hearts, we all know and are convinced that he is the one.

He is that guy.

And since we know this, obviously, the Human Council knows this too.

The Human Council is, well, the Human Council. They are the encompassing rulers of our race; they are the ones that are keeping us safe from harm and were the reason all of us could live in such a large chaos realm safe and sound.

If we could recognize how valuable Dawnbringer is to our race, how can the Human Council not?

Guys, all of you have seen the enemies he faced during his ascent to that mysterious spire. You've all heard the hosts, Paul and Lisa, explain to you how dangerous they were. You also heard them say that, to this day, those creatures exist.

Some are outside our chaos realm; others are hiding among us. But whether they're in or out of our home, I can almost guarantee you that they too have watched the tournament as well.

With that in mind, what do you think their plan is? Hmm?

Yes, that's right. They're planning on killing him.

There is no doubt that Dawnbringer has potential, and the more they allow him to grow, the stronger he becomes. Eventually, he will become a pillar to our race, maybe an heir to the council, or maybe the next strongest human being, or maybe all of the above!

But right now, Dawnbringer isn't any of that just yet. He still needs time to grow to reach that level. Do any of you honestly think that our enemies will just sit back and watch that happen? Naive! Of course not!

I'm almost certain that they're combing through our home right now in search of him, and when they do find him, they will start planning on how to kill him to stifle the growth of and demoralize our race.

Don't be stupid. If you were in their shoes, you'd do the same. They have every right to be terrified of him.

But of course, the Human Council wouldn't let that happen. Just like us, they too could recognize Dawnbringer's value.

Hell, I'd sacrifice my own life just to give Dawnbringer time to escape because I, too, know just what he means for our future.

So stop believing those rumors and stop spending money on those scammers who are telling you that they'd find him for you. None of them are real. They're just riding off the hype and fame of Dawnbringer. They don't really have anything real to give to you.

Dawnbringer is under the protection of the Human Council. Stop speculating; just be happy that he's safe and sound.

This wouldn't be the last time we'd hear of him, I'm sure of it. At some point, his brilliance will grace us again.

It's literally in his name.

He who brings forth dawn. Dawnbringer.
