Kara tells Lena her secret. But after they sleep. They aren't savages, god.

-x-X-x-

She wants it. Kara can't deny that. She's the one who most wanted to help Lena out with all of this. Sure, Lucien had turned out to be very much onboard once she was finally honest with him about what she knew. And sure, she knew that he was never going to take advantage of Lena's desperation.

Everything that had happened here tonight after a certain point had been completely unplanned. It wasn't about seducing Lena; it wasn't about manipulating her. It was about helping her. Kara was fairly confident that even Lucien hadn't known that Lena would then decide to turn around and seduce THEM out of what seemed to be overwhelming gratitude and no small amount of lust.

But here they were all the same, and after sharing Lucien's cock both orally and vaginally, Kara couldn't deny that she felt closer to Lena Lord than ever before. And even now, she wanted to do her part in helping the other woman get past this current hiccup in things. Lena needed their assistance and while Lucien could throw business deals and money at the problem, Kara's ability to help was mostly in the form of her secretarial skills, wasn't it?

At the same time though, she didn't necessarily want to leave Lucien in the lurch. Maybe Tea could pull off a convincing mimicry of her (if she bound her tits, wore hair extensions, and slouched her posture enough to be a few inches shorter) but she wouldn't be able to do half as good of a job as Kara could as Lucien's secretary.

The best option, really, would be to have Kara work for both of them, sort of on the downlow. Nobody would have to know so long as she was careful about it. Except… Lena would have to know. And she would have to understand exactly who and what Kara was so she didn't think the blonde was burning herself out with the workloads.

Huffing as both Lena and Lucien look at her, Lena curious and Lucien with a raised eyebrow, Kara… comes to a decision.

"We'll talk about this in the morning. Right now, Lena needs her rest."

Maybe a bit more of her 'hero' voice leaks in then she intends because Lena squeaks and blushes a little bit, even as Lucien grins.

"Sure. Sounds good to me. The morning it is."

"Wait, I'm not that tired…"

But the two of them don't let the squishy human woman in their midst convince them of anything but her need to sleep and despite Lena's protests, she's soon passed out between them. Lucien gives Kara a curious look then, wondering if she'll want to chew him out or at least talk about it… but Kara just shakes her head slightly and tries her best to go to sleep as well. In the morning. She'd deal with all of this in the morning…

-x-X-x-

Kara doesn't get much sleep in the end. And when she does wake up at the ass crack of dawn, she decides not to bother trying to go back to bed for the umpteenth time. Instead, she slips out from under the covers without disturbing Lena or Lucien and heads for the kitchen, an idea in mind that she can't shake.

By the time the two of them come out of the master bedroom about an hour later, Kara is ready for them both. Or at least, she thinks she is. When she sees the bright red blush on Lena's face and the wide, slightly wet grin on Lucien's, the blonde does stop in her tracks for a moment, eyes sliding up and down their bodies and noting the incredibly shaky legs that Lena is currently walking on.

"Sorry. Had to get my morning snack."

It's obvious how Lucien decided to wake Lena up and for a moment Kara feels a spike of jealousy. But she easily sets that aside, knowing full well that Lucien would have done the same for her given half the chance. And she would have done the same for him too if she wasn't busy with… this instead.

Last night, Lucien had cooked their entire dinner. This morning, Kara has made breakfast. A whole lot of eggs, massive stacks of pancakes, and meats like bacon, sausages, and ham fill the dining table and once the smells hit their noses, Lena and Lucien are both drawn over like moths to a flame.

Lena gapes at the spread before glancing to Kara.

"You… you made all of this?"

Grinning crookedly, Kara just sort of shrugs.

"Yep. I'm a city girl myself, always have been… but my cousin was raised on a farm in Kansas and I've spent a lot of time with his parents. His mother taught me all about good, home cooking. Or she tried to anyways. I was pretty bad at most of her recipes, but if there's one thing that's hard to fuck up, its breakfast."

Lena smiles softly as Kara rambles on and the blonde once again notices how easily the dark-haired woman just… listens to her. Despite being born into privilege, despite being a CEO at such a young age, Lena wasn't haughty or arrogant or conceited about it. She didn't look down on Kara just for being someone's assistant. She didn't see her as a 'lesser person' just because of the difference in their circumstances.

"Well, I'd say you did more than just 'not fuck up'. This looks amazing, Kara."

God… her heart was fucking melting. Lucien just chuckles as he takes his seat, giving Kara an amused, knowing look. Soon enough they're all seated at the table and filling their plates with food so hot that the steam is still rising off of it.

Initially, Kara told herself that she would wait until they were done eating to spill the proverbial beans. But as she sits there watching Lena begin to eat with this comfortable, happy air to her… she realizes she needs to do it now. Before she chickens out.

"I want to help you out, Lena. I'll be your personal assistant for as long as you need one and find and train my replacement when the time comes."

Lena freezes briefly, midchew. Slowly, she finishes chewing her bite of pancakes and swallows, before setting her fork down and giving Kara her full, undivided attention.

"Are you sure? I don't want to pull you away from working under Lucien if that's where your happiest."

Kara's glad that Lucien doesn't crack some sort of joke about how 'happy' she really is 'working under' him. She can tell he wants to. Or maybe she's just reading into things too much. Regardless, she just smiles and shakes her head.

"Oh, you won't be pulling me away. There's a reason that Lucien offered me to you and it's because I can already easily do the work of ten secretaries if need be. So doing the work of two… won't be a problem. I'll continue to work for him while also helping you at the same time."

That gets a frown from Lena, who looks a little confused.

"I… don't understand. I don't mean to sound rude… but what makes you think you could really handle that sort of thing? It wouldn't just be the workload after all, but the issue of transit as well… unless Lucien wants to move my office into LexCorp Tower or something?"

Lena gives Lucien a suspicious glance, but Lucien just shakes his head, smiling slightly. No, forcing Lena to move Lord Enterprises' HQ into LexCorp Tower would not be allowing her the independence that she and her company needed. He might as well just buy out her company after all if they were going to go that route.

Kara lets out an explosive breath… and then bites the bullet.

"Easy. It's because I'm Supergirl."

Silence falls as Lena stares at Kara from across the table with wide eyes. Kara stares back, trying to convey her earnestness and sincerity with just a gaze. But why stop at that when she can use her words too? And she knows exactly the words to use.

"Having women like you in positions of industry and business is just as important as anything me or my fellow heroines do, Lena. You should never forget that you're a CEO for little girls everywhere to look up to and one day emulate."

It's not exactly word for word what Kara said to Lena back in Washington D.C. at the White House awards ceremony. But it's more than close enough to make Lena sit back in her chair, her jaw dropping open in disbelief.

Smiling apologetically, Kara just shrugs.

"Sorry for keeping it a secret… but I hope you'll understand why I had to."

Blinking rapidly, Lena shakes her head.

"N-No, I… trust me, I understand completely. Part of… part of my father's plans, what they didn't release to the public… it involved using various different control methods on members of the Justice League once the UN put him in charge. One of which involved trying to find out your secret identities so that he could blackmail you with threats to your loved ones. So… so trust me, I understand completely. I just… wouldn't have expected you to tell ME of all people…"

Kara grimaces, not at all surprised to hear just how scummy Maxwell Lord's plans really got. But she shakes her head right back, offering a smile a moment later.

"You're not your father, Lena. And you are, ultimately, a good honest woman trying to do right by the world as well as the people depending on you. I'm telling you my secret not just because I want to help you, but because I trust you. Completely and utterly."

Lena's mouth opens and closes wordlessly at that, but when the silence drags on a little bit too long, Kara just claps her hands together.

"So yeah, you don't have to worry about me or the transit times. I can literally be across the city in seconds… heck, I can be anywhere in the world that I need to be in under a minute. With that in mind, taking care of my secretarial duties for both you and Lucien will be child's play. And… I really want to help you. So let me, please?"

Finally, Lena musters up a wobbly smile and nods.

"O… okay."

And then she sniffs and wipes one of her eyes.

"Ah… if I start crying in the next few minutes, please ignore me. They're happy tears."

There are indeed some tears as they all go back to eating breakfast. But Lena's smile only grows stronger even as they fall, so Kara chooses to trust her about them being happy tears.

In the end… everything is going to be alright.

-x-X-x-

Claire had to admit; this was… pretty alright. The Amazon-Kryptonian Hybrid and all around freak of nature has been enjoying the hospitality of Themyscira for a few days now. The Amazons have welcomed her as one of their sisters with open arms, treating her like she's long lost kin come home rather than the violation of sanctity and privacy that she really is.

After all, she knows deep down that Superman is right to be disgusted by Project Match and also by her very existence. Nobody had asked for permission. Nobody had tried to get his consent. They'd simply used his and Diana's DNA without permission, crafting Claire in a secret lab and building her up.

And why? As a countermeasure, of course. She was always meant to be a weapon, pointed at the very people that she was made from just in case they turned on Earth and needed to be put down. Privately, Claire suspected it was even worse than that.

Cadmus and Professor Hamilton's mission statement might have sounded sufficiently honorable and grand on the face of it… but were they were afraid of the Justice League trying to harm the human race? Or were they more afraid of the Justice League finding out about their excesses, their foibles, their corruption… and dealing with it once and for all?

Claire doubted, even if she were remotely stable enough to be used, that she would have only been deployed in the event of a worldwide genocide. More likely the Powers That Be would have tried to use her to kill the Justice League the moment that they rocked the boat too much and got in the way of the oh so precious 'status quo'.

None of that mattered now though. Because as previously stated, Claire had been welcomed with open arms to the Isle of Themyscira. Nobody treated her like the abomination she was. Even when Claire revealed just how strong she was, how ridiculously powerful being half-Kryptonian and half-Amazon actually made her… they still didn't care.

The Amazons had turned out to be an interesting group of women, in the end. Yes they had their pride… but it wasn't easily wounded. In fact, instead of being angry or upset when she kept kicking their asses, they'd just started testing her upper bounds, throwing more of themselves at her in bigger groups and aiming to improve off of her in the process.

She was like a mountain and the Amazons were nineteenth century explorers who took one look at her and thought to themselves 'yeah… gotta climb that thing'. Platonically, anyways. There was no sapphic love yet and Claire had certainly been trying to see what she could make happen, as well as testing the waters to see if she could interest any of them in a threesome with Lucien.

So far, she felt like she was making the most progress with those who spent most of their time in Man's World. Namely, Diana's proteges Cassandra and Donna. The current Wonder Girl and Troia both seemed to be at least a little interested.

But part of Claire wondered if she might be able to bag the biggest fish of them all for Lucien instead. What if she could seduce Diana herself into his bed?

… Nah, it probably wasn't a good idea…

Unless?
