Enslaved To The Alphas
Chapter 141: Taken Away
CHAPTER 141: TAKEN AWAY
"What is going on now? Are you safe now?" Kael’s voice pushed into his head curiously and Lance let out a growl in his head.
"Kael, if I hear your voice in my head one more time, I will skin you alive." And with that threat, Lance cut him off and slammed the link shut. He forced the connection closed and ignoring Kael’s protest. Kael was getting out of control! He’d never thought that the brother who would worry the most would be Kael of the three of them.
Finally, with Kael no longer hovering in his head worriedly about their safety, Lance breathed out hard. Relief hit then. They had gotten out. But were they really safe? Only time would tell.
Because, whoever this "master" was, he would not be easy to deal with. Lance had felt the man’s power through the door just as he was about to kill the witch.
If his wolf hadn’t sensed the malicious intent from the other side, he and Emira would be dead. He’d grabbed her and leapt through the window just before the room exploded.
Thankfully, the explosion had also caused a panic among the humans alike, giving him a chance to escape the commotion unnoticed and undetected.
He looked down at Emira. She was still unconscious and burning up.
He breathed in deeply — trying to steady himself — and then immediately cursed under his breath. It was a mistake. Now that they were out of immediate danger he could pick out her heat pheromone scent, clear as day... It hit him like a weight in his chest, making his wolf growl with need and want.
He moved away hurriedly, walked to the window, slid it open and pushed his head out into the night letting the wind hit his face and clear his head a little.
He drew in a lungful of air and the smell of the back garden hit him: a wall covered thick with flowers, vines spilling over the fence, petals drifting on the breeze. The whole yard smelled like blossoms.
Good, he thought. Flowers would cover a lot. The garden would mask her heat’s pheromones for anyone passing by, at least from a distance.
Having Omega’s go out into the human world had been a good decision. Now, he could use this Omega’s house to keep Emira safe.
After taking another whiff of fresh air, he turned back into the room and let out another round of curses.
Emira was shifting restlessly... as an Omega who was prone to discomfort... Added to that, one of her hands had worked up toward the neckline of her shirt and now another was fighting with the fabric at her waist. She was tugging at her clothes as if they were on fire. How was he supposed to explain to an unconscious person that the heat she was feeling was not from clothes but from within her.
Hurriedly, he jumped forward and caught her wrists before she could pull anything off and when she tried to struggle, caught both wrists in his hand and pushed them upwards, until they were above her head against the pillow. She continued to writhe like a fish trying to escape his hold.
With his free hand he patted her cheek. "Wake up. Wake up, Emira. Wake up! You are in heat."
She answered with a soft whimper that had him throw back his head and pray to the Moon Goddess for patience... How was he supposed to control his own rising lust and her heat...
Just then, her eyelids fluttered as she looked at him and he asked hoarsely," Are you awake now..."
She seemed to not recognise him for a moment and squinted at him, her lips parting as though trying to form a word that never came. Lance frowned and shook her by the shoulders. "Emira. Wake up."
No response. Her head lolled to the side, and her skin felt scalding beneath his fingers. "Damn it," he muttered and gave her another shake, harder this time. "Wake up!"
But instead of waking, she let out a low almost desperate moan as her body arched, as if trying to get closer to him.
Lance held his breath and tried to move his body further away but his grip on her slackened and her hand slipped from his grip and brushed against his chest. The sudden contact sent a jolt through him, and his muscles locked tight. But his wolf reacted instantly, its instincts flaring.
The scent of her heat was everywhere now, clinging to the air and wrapping around him, testing his resolve. He ground his teeth and forced himself to breathe through it.
"Emira. Stop moving...He ground out."
She didn’t seem to hear him. Instead, she looked up at him and tried to lift herself off the bed as she spoke in a breathy almost unrecognisable voice, "Need... you..."
Lance closed his eyes and caught her sneaking arms again, and pushed her onto the bed, pinning her down with his body. "You don’t know what you’re saying. You’re not yourself. Wake up."
But she kept trying and rubbed herself against him..
He squeezed his eyes shut for a brief second and forced his wolf down, and moved away from her and stood up.
Then, in one swift motion, he scooped her into his arms. She gasped faintly, her body trembling against his chest, but he didn’t pause even as her hands slipped up behind his neck, clinging to him, and she rubbed her cheek against his shoulder.
"Moon above," he muttered under his breath, fighting to stay focused. "You’re going to drive me insane."
He adjusted his grip, tightening his hold so she couldn’t move any closer and asked," Are you ready?"
She smiled up at him goofily and then nodded her head. He gave her a swift smile.. "Good then. Brace yourself"
And then, without hesitation, he lowered her into the tub full of ice water, letting her system go into shock to bring her out of the haze of heat..
