Bai Chenyao’s gaze fell on the meals Li Mu had brought in.

Recalling that very unpleasant meeting, Gu Tiantian shifted her gaze away and turned to look at the blue sky outside the window.

The ward was very quiet, apart from the sound of breathing and the rustle of the pen tip on paper as Bai Chenyao signed, along with the noise of him flipping through the documents.

By past one o’clock, Li Mu went out once again, taking the already signed documents from Bai Chenyao, and when he returned, he was carrying two large plastic bags.

One bag contained meals, snacks, and soup, while the other contained plenty of fruits.

"Sir, these fruits are still warm."

After Li Mu spoke, he waited for Bai Chenyao to nod before leaving.

She lifted her head, just meeting Bai Chenyao who was handing over a big, bright red apple.
