Chapter 127: The Purpose Here
CHAPTER 127: THE PURPOSE HERE
"Haiyang, you really are something!"
Jiang Xinxin looked at Zhang Haiyang with some dissatisfaction, then walked over to Gu Tiantian and warmly held her hand.
"I’ve just arrived and haven’t had a chance to talk to Tian Tian. I’m leaving for Han City in a few days, and I don’t know how long it will be before Tian Tian gets discharged. There are so many things I need to talk to her about."
Suddenly, as if she thought of something, Jiang Xinxin looked at Zhang Haiyang.
"Well... we’re two women chatting here, and it might not be appropriate for you, a man, to be present. Why don’t you go out for a walk?"
Zhang Haiyang stared at Jiang Xinxin in shock, feeling like he’d been struck by lightning.
Was she asking him to leave?
Asking him to leave?
Him, to leave?
As if she found his presence irritating, Jiang Xinxin even directly pulled him with her hand.
Even after Zhang Haiyang was pulled out and the door was closed, he hadn’t snapped out of it.
In the ward, Gu Tiantian looked at Jiang Xinxin, with her mouth slightly open.
What exactly was Jiang Xinxin up to?
"Tian Tian, I–"
"Stop!"
Gu Tiantian felt that if she didn’t speak up to stop Jiang Xinxin’s scheming behavior, she’d really end up regurgitating everything.
Even though, at the moment, she hadn’t quite figured out what Jiang Xinxin was planning.
Jiang Xinxin paused and looked at Gu Tiantian with a face full of confusion.
That expression seemed to say, "Tian Tian, tell me, I’m listening."
A star who was always held in high regard like a queen, and for whom they were merely minions, suddenly showing this expression to one of them—Gu Tiantian couldn’t believe it for a second.
Fine, let’s just cut to the chase!
"Sister Jiang, whatever you have to say, just say it directly. Now it’s just the two of us here, you speak, I’ll listen!"
Jiang Xinxin clearly didn’t expect Gu Tiantian to be so direct, still looking stunned.
Gu Tiantian frowned but said nothing, waiting.
No matter what, Jiang Xinxin was still her direct superior, and although things had become tense before, others had forced them to reconcile.
As long as Jiang Xinxin acted professionally, she didn’t mind.
"Since that’s the case, I’ll just say it."
Jiang Xinxin hesitated visibly, finally speaking slowly after a long pause.
"Tian Tian, it’s like this: I’m about to go to Han City, and I really wanted to see you, to check if your health has improved. If possible, it’d be great if you could come with me."
Gu Tiantian wanted to be discharged too, but it was obvious Bai Chenyao wouldn’t allow it.
Besides, she was certain this wasn’t the main reason for Jiang Xinxin’s visit today.
"I can’t be discharged right now."
Upon hearing Gu Tiantian’s words, Jiang Xinxin’s face showed a disappointed expression.
As if not being able to take Gu Tiantian to Han City made her unusually sad.
Gu Tiantian clicked her tongue, deciding to push further.
Fortunately, Jiang Xinxin had started talking and finally revealed the purpose of her visit.
"Since that’s the case, the most important thing is your health, Tian Tian."
"But I really didn’t expect you’d be staying in a super VIP ward. Even I have never stayed in one."
"By the way, why haven’t I seen Mr. Bai?"
At this point, how could Gu Tiantian not understand?
Just as she thought, Jiang Xinxin was showing such unusual hospitality, risking being paparazzi-snapped, and it wasn’t about her; it was about Bai Chenyao.
"I had acute gastroenteritis earlier and passed out. When I woke up, I was here. It’s very strange."
"As for Mr. Bai... I haven’t seen him since waking up!"
It’s not that Gu Tiantian didn’t want to act as a go-between for Jiang Xinxin; rather, she was wary of the arrogant Bai Chenyao.
