CHAPTER 68: CHAPTER 68: LEAVE OF ABSENCE

"What is this? It’s so gross..." Bai Yiran said as she tried to change it back.

"You dare try to change it!"

Leng Yichen shot over a sharp glance, and Bai Yiran gave up instantly. Forget it... a wise woman doesn’t suffer immediate losses... This man is just a big demon!

Bai Yiran quietly put away her phone and continued gazing out the window.

"From now on, don’t hang out with your friend anymore." Leng Yichen’s voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable command.

"Why! She’s my good friend! Are you going to interfere with who I make friends with now?"

Bai Yiran was really angry, this man was becoming more domineering with age!

"She’s the princess of Golden City, wasn’t what happened last time enough of a lesson?" Leng Yichen was referring to the incident with Young Master Yin.

Even so, Lou Jing was still her friend, "What if she’s a princess? If life wasn’t tough, who would choose to be a princess? Besides, a princess also earns money through her skills, so don’t look down on her!"

Bai Yiran’s face was flushed with anger, her fists clenched tightly, seemingly ready to completely fall out if Leng Yichen said one more word about her friend.

Helplessly, Leng Yichen softened his tone, "Forget it, we’ll talk about it later."

The rest of the journey was peaceful, but once they returned home, Bai Yiran erupted again.

"Where are my things!"

As soon as she returned to Leng Yichen’s big HOUSE, Bai Yiran was shocked to find all her things had vanished, and turning around she saw Leng Yichen leaning against the door.

"Where are my things?"

Leng Yichen pointed to his own room next door, "Put where they belong."

"This is where they belong!" Bai Yiran pointed to the floor.

"Haha." Ignoring Bai Yiran’s angry expression, Leng Yichen chuckled lightly and walked back into his room, closing the door.

Bai Yiran paced back and forth in the corridor, staring at Leng Yichen’s closed door, her heart in turmoil.

She couldn’t not change clothes; she needed pajamas for sleep, and tomorrow she’d have to change for work.

Yet, Leng Yichen’s door seemed like the gate to hell, housing Leng Yichen the devil inside.

Bai Yiran bit her finger, staring fixedly at Leng Yichen’s bedroom door.

If I’m going to die, so be it!

Seeing Bai Yiran come in, standing there dazed and staring at him, Leng Yichen couldn’t help but smile.

Why is this woman so adorable!

Leng Yichen’s smile brought Bai Yiran back to her senses, she awkwardly lowered her head, "Where are my things? Where did you put them!"

Leng Yichen said nothing, just shrugged with a pout, indicating for her to find them herself.

Bai Yiran bit her lip, this man was really annoying. Thinking her clothes must be in Leng Yichen’s cloakroom, she headed straight there.

She knew she shouldn’t have come in, really once in, there was no way out...

The next day, when Bai Yiran woke up it was already noon, realizing she had to go to work, she was so scared she couldn’t think about anything else, hurriedly washing up and changing clothes before rushing down the stairs.

Sister Liu was setting the table with a delicious lunch, hearing the thumping down the stairs, she knew Bai Yiran was awake, coming out of the kitchen she indeed saw Bai Yiran rushing to leave.

"Yiran, where are you going?"

"I’m going to work, now it’s bad, absent for half a day right when I’m starting, Amy’s definitely going to kill me with her scolding!" Bai Yiran truly hated Leng Yichen, why did he get up for work without waking her!

"It’s alright, sir already instructed me this morning to request a leave for you, said you were too tired yesterday so you should rest well at home today. I’ve already requested a full day’s leave for you." Sister Liu said with a cheerful smile.
